The Wild 100: Us time

When it comes to marking your milestones as a couple, you can mess about with flowers and fancy restaurants, or you can get wild with outdoor cinemas, bath tub stargazing and sunset G&Ts.

Us time is only one type of experience that features in The Wild 100, our selection of the incredible things that come with our stays. You can see the full 100 here, or sign up to our newsletter and have them sent to you in inspiring episodes over the next few weeks.

At the Pond, Somerset

41. The infinity tub

Some moments with your partner feel like you’re the only two people in the world. Some, more than others. Especially if you’re visiting At the Pond. Give your partner your undivided attention, and share this secluded space, bathe in the tub on the sunken jetty, or wild swim in the pond. Warm up in the steam room, by the outdoor fireplace or dare we say it… in the huge bed.

The Forager's Cabin, Powys

42. Sunset sundowners

You’ve heard of waypoints, now try a gin & tonic point. Past the cabin, at the end of the woods, there’s a specially made sundowner area – with nothing but nature as far as the eye can see. With a space just large enough for two wooden armchairs, a fire pit, and an inflated sense of smugness that it’s all yours to enjoy.

Walden, Herefordshire

43. A woodland cinema

Finally, a cinema where you don’t have to sneak in the snacks. Through spring, summer and autumn, this outdoor cinema is open for viewing, and accessed a short walk from your space through a magical woodland glade. Pull up a deckchair, don your headphones – and share this hidden world together.

Vilberie, Somerset

44. Get pruney

So large it has its own bath house, the freestanding stone tub at Vilberie is big enough for two to share side by side, not to mention the screen at the far end for a film whilst you soak. This is the sort of place you could accidentally spend hours, so don’t be shocked if you leave a little wrinkly.

The Old Piggery, Devon

45. Double baths

If the picture didn’t grab you, we just don’t know what will. This pair of roll-top baths are screened away from view, and face the hillsides as they roll into each other into the horizon. You could explore Dartmoor and the Devon Coast nearby, or, more likely, revel in guiltless bubbles.

Hidey Hole Cabin, Sussex

46. Movie magic

Swap the convenience store flowers and chocolate for something you’ll never forget. At the press of a button, the picture window of your cabin transforms into a movie night screen. Enjoy movie night from the comfort of your bed, and either enjoy the flicker of the silver screen, or see how long you make it through without getting distracted…

The Perigord Treehouse, Hampshire

47. Leafy yoga

Time your breaths to the sighing of the breeze through the branches as your personal instructor guides you in a bespoke yoga session on the deck of a treehouse. The combination of gentle movement and natural surroundings will have all your stress floating out into the air.

Pumla, Herefordshire

48. Bathgazing

Not looking at baths, but rather looking at the stars from the bath. You're right on the edge of a Dark Sky Reserve and can hike the Brecon Beacons, run a limb-soothing tub with room for two, slide into the water and lie back to watch the greatest show off Earth unfold above you.

Halvana Forest Shed, Cornwall

49. Fireside fancies

Time together doesn't have to be complicated. It can be as simple as staring into the flames in companionable silence. But while you're there, why not toast yourself a little something - crack open the complimentary box of fireside fancies at Halvana and see what you've got to give the night a little sizzle.
