About Canopy & Stars

Sometimes couples need to shut the rest of the world out. Busy schedules can make it hard to spend quality time together, so a romantic glamping break with a hot tub is the perfect way to reconnect. The distractions of everyday life will wait as you raise a glass to each other in blissful seclusion. Celebrate a special occasion by transporting yourselves to some of the most beautiful and remote spots in the UK to switch off, slow down and chat late into the night as the steam rises up from the hot tub. Breathe in the fresh air, crack open the bubbles and make new memories. Cuddling up together in a warm outdoor hot tub under a sparkling blanket of stars will be the icing on the cake (or the skylight in the treehouse).
Lolling about together in serious style is the order of the day at Quiet of Stars. There’s no need to achieve anything more strenuous than drifting between the king-size bed and window seat in the open plan living space, or the bench in the garden and the hammock.
This light, airy Cornish cocoon has an oval-shaped hot tub best enjoyed at night to marvel at the spectacular sky full of stars thanks to a complete lack of light pollution. The owners have thought of every comfort, with a welcome hamper waiting on arrival and a Neff oven so you can wow each other with your culinary skills.
If the therapeutic sound of the sea calls, head to the South West coastal path 5 minutes’ drive away and try the spectacular walk from Lantivet Bay to Polperro. The Eden Project is nearby or you can wander the colourful, picturesque streets of Fowey.
Love birds will discover their perfect cosy nest in deepest, rural Devon. Set in beautiful woodland, guests of the romantic two-storey cabin can use the Canadian cedarwood hot tub sunk into a wooden deck and surrounded by ‘candlelit’ trees.
You’ll find it hard to drag yourself away from the top floor bedroom of The Bird Box with its king-sized bed, fur deer skins, plump cushions and French windows. The only thing that might entice you to flutter downstairs is the prospect of a leisurely morning coffee on the veranda with views of the park and river down below.
Celebrate your romantic break with a cream tea in Okehampton and some light-hearted squabbling over whether the jam or cream goes first on the scones. Or, surprise your partner with a back or full body massage at the cabin. Either way, your relationship will be flying high by the time you leave.
If you’re out to impress for a special birthday or anniversary, The Den Treehouse has the wow factor in spades. Climb up the imposing wooden staircase through fairy lit trees to your romantic glamping home in the canopy. Pale wood interiors and luxury Scandi style set the scene for a getaway you’ll never forget.
The outdoor jacuzzi spa is a special treat, big enough for four and hidden away down some steps for total privacy. Chill something sparkling in the drinks fridge and hop in. Higher up, on the huge wooden terrace, you’ll commune with nature in style. Sip your morning coffee at the outdoor breakfast bar with views through the trees.
The Den is set in six acres of grounds and magical gardens at Pickwell Manor in Devon where you can use the campfire area, visit the animals and try your hand at tennis and croquet. Or borrow some body boards and walk to beautiful Putsborough Beach.
Sweeping views are good for the soul and this one is epic. Sink into the steaming hot tub, almost 1000 ft above sea level and drink in the incredible views of the Black Mountains in the distance. Any stress will drift away on the breeze as you toast each other in your romantic spot on top of the world.
The Wagon is cosy but deceptively spacious with glamorous touches that complement its classic vintage charm. Cuddle up under warm woollen blankets in front of the wood burner, put a 78 on the retro record player and set out on a nostalgic journey through the musical ages together.
Explore the Brecon Beacons in one direction or the Wye Valley in the other before you reascend to your love nest among the buzzards, owls and butterflies. You might even spot the occasional stoat bounding through the grass as you rock gently in the hammock.
Magical Yggdrasil Treehouse in Devon emits a welcoming glow that instantly seduces visitors on arrival. This Nordic-style treehouse oozes opulent comfort with vintage leather chairs, soft Icelandic sheepskins, Finnish kelo lamps, a large wooden terrace and a decadent rainfall copper shower. There are a few nods to owner Val’s Scottish heritage with inviting touches of burnt orange tweed.
Outside, the private outdoor hot tub is cocooned by a tall log wall draped with fairy lights. Climb up the steps, sink into the bubbling water and gaze out over the valley. Take a few photos together to capture the moment or you might wonder if you dreamt it all in years to come.
Set out on a walk from the front door to the pretty village of Brampton, on the edge of Exmoor National Park. Exmouth Gin Distillery makes for a fun date or you could bond over your water sports skills (or lack of) on nearby Wimbleball Lake.
The Rook’s Tower is perched twelve feet up in the air with a bird’s-eye-view of gorgeous Herefordshire woodland. But even the most eagle-eyed might not spot the romantic hot tub and cinema room tucked away under the deck, hidden behind wooden slats.
Huge windows let the light and views stream into the open-plan living space where you’ll find a wood burner, board games and squashy sofas. Relax with a couples massage or take a soak in the freestanding bathtub at the foot of the king-sized bed.
When you’re ready to explore, medieval Hereford or Worcester are both 20 minutes away by car. It’s worth a look at Mappa Mundi, the oldest map of the world, found in Hereford cathedral, although you might prefer sat nav for your drive home.
At the end of the day, absorb the deep peace of the forest as you bask in the warmth of the chiminea and rustle up something delicious in the pizza oven.
