Canopy & Stars is a collection of unique, creative places to stay in the outdoors that give you a genuine experience of a life more wild. They're personally inspected by our team and carefully selected so you'll find only the most special spaces in our collection.
If the thought of another sticky commute or sleepless night has you constantly refreshing for the weather app, it might be time to head somewhere cooler. Luckily, it doesn't take long to leave the heat of the city behind. In just a couple of hours you could be swimming in your own private lake or reading in a shaded spot beneath the trees. Whether you're after a waterside cabin or somewhere with a sea breeze at your door, these escapes make it easy to leave London for a few days and recharge in nature.
If London isn't your starting point, you can also explore our places to stay near Manchester and treehouse stays within two hours of Bristol for more ideas on escaping the city.
In season 6, episode 3 of A Life More Wild, we talk to activist, researcher and writer Joycelyn Longdon.
Joycelyn Longdon wears many hats. She works on conservation with communities in Ghana, she speaks and writes about environmental action and she also specialises in something called bioacoustics. It keeps her pretty busy, so we caught up with her to take a break from her desk and a stroll into one of her favourite places - Paradise Nature Reserve in Cambridge. On the way, she explains how all her worlds come together and how important it is that cultural interaction creates a new way to imagine our future.
