Overview
You will find Caban Coch amongst Beudy Banc's other cabins, artfully crafted by its owner from an old hay trailer, it is an invitation to reconnect with the outside world one way or another. Option one is to fold back the doors and let the mountain air flow through the cabin. It’ll breeze through the light and spacious living area while you lounge on the sofa, past the door to the shower and compost loo and on into the far end of the cabin, where the king-sized bed sits on a raised platform. Option two is to take advantage of the miles of custom-made downhill bike trails and send muddy nature spinning up off your wheels and onto your back.
You can always combine them both of course, spending your days exploring the magnificent valley laid out before you on foot or by bike, before getting a fire going and enjoying the peace of the countryside as the sun goes down. For a longer, slightly more sedate day out, head into Machynlleth where the Wales Museum of Modern Art, along with galleries, craft shops, restaurants and pubs wait to entertain and sustain you. Whichever you choose, you can finish the day by booking a session in the sauna, and cooling off in a plunge pool.

We had a lovely two night stay it was just what we needed to recharge our batteries - so peaceful and cosy with the log fire and no telly
08/11/2024Karen
Our 2nd time at this cabin (3rd at Beaudy Blanc) and likely not the last. It’s a truly special place - the location is stunning and the quiet helps clear the mind. Wonderful in every way and more so for our dog - she’s at her happiest there.
12/10/2024Patricia
We booked Caban Coch as a last minute getaway and we were blown away by the cabin and the location. It's very unique and so cosy. The bed is very comfortable. We spent the evenings sat outside by the log fire watching the sunset and spent the day out walking and climbed up Cadair
09/08/2024Shona
Having stayed at the Tree House before, which we loved, we were not expecting this cabin to match it. We were wrong. It is different, of course, but equally special. We spent 9 unforgettable days at Caban Coch and we enjoyed every minute. The surroundings are stunning and the peace and quiet do wonders to restore a sense of balance and joy. And, importantly, our dog has never looked happier either.
11/07/2024Patricia
It was a wonderful stay. Can't tell how happy we are with the stay we had, as the location and the cabin itself is just in peaceful and wonderful location.
04/05/2024Rytis
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cosy Coch Caban. Lovely walks around and not far from local town and beaches.
03/02/2024Andrew
We had an amazing stay at Caban Coch. The weather was dismal with almost constant rain but it added to the cosiness of this lovely cabin. It was perfectly clean and had everything you could need with lots of additional cosy touches. We CANNOT wait to come back.

Absolutely stunning location. Surrounded by woodland, punctuated by rivers and stunning views of the mountains in the distance.
24/10/2022michael
The location was fantastic, the views and the access to nature were amazing. The cabin was set in an excellent and quite secluded spot so it felt out in the wilderness. Everything we needed was provided and the owners were available and very helpful. Most of all it gave us the rest and reset we needed.
04/08/2022michael
The property was lovely, with walks from the door and a cosy atmosphere. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck with our dog and watching the world go by.
05/05/2022Emily
An great little cabin in a fine location.
21/04/2022Chris
The site is lovely and super easy to find with the instructions provided. Caban Coch was really cosy, perfect for a weekend getaway together. The accommodation is lovely and the owners have clearly put a lot of love and effort into creating it.
03/12/2021Philip
We had a wonderful stay at Caban Coch, the setting is gorgeous, naturally secluded and surrounded by wooded valleys, hills and mountains. The Caban itself is just perfect, cosy, with many charming rustic and artisan details; pictures, fabrics, pieces of furniture, and the drawings and hand written comments of others who have enjoyed staying there. The wood burner heats the small space really efficiently, adding to the cosy feel. We loved just listening to the radio by the fire. In terms of essentials, pots, pans, cutlery etc there is everything you need and nothing more. On leaving our only regret, was that we hadn't booked an extra couple of nights.
12/11/2021David
Really enjoyed our visit to Caban Coch. Great location, with lots of walks a short drive away.
02/09/2021Sarah
I stayed here with my 11 year old daughter to celebrate her transition into high school. Caban Coch was a cosy, quirky spot. Quiet and so peaceful. Surrounded by nature, close to mountains and coast. The journey there was stunning in itself, we loved driving through the dramatic, misty Welsh hills. Immediate surroundings could fill a day, there are walks around the farm and cabin, streams to explore, a forest behind us that was great for walks. We had toasted marshmallows on our fire pit and then bundled ourselves into bed, still smelling if woodsmoke. My daughter felt safe enough to 'Huckleberry Finn' it around the place while I washed pots. She relished the freedom and connection with nature! Really seemed to capture her imagination. A great stay.
15/08/2021Tania
We had two nights at Caban Coch and it was truly magical. Completely off the beaten track, beautiful views and spectacular night skies. The sheep like to make sure you know their there, but that only added to the charm. The sheep even joined us for breakfast one morning!
14/07/2021Amelia
Myself and my husband really enjoyed our stay. The location was beautiful and so peaceful! It was just enough room for 2 for a couple of days and you could tell lots of care had been put into the character of the place. We loved the area and we will definitely be back, perhaps to try the tree house next time!
25/06/2021Rae
This was such a lovely break away, exactly what was needed. Such a lovely location, and so peaceful yet still close to a little town. The cabin itself was beautifully done, you can tell the care given by the owners. There are a few other cabins around however you still feel really isolated. Also such a gorgeous view to wake up to.
14/06/2021Bethany
We had a lovely few days in the Caban and really enjoyed the views, the soundscape and the available facilities. Nice to have a cooker and a cooler for the essentials. The owners provided us with lots of useful information prior to arrival which was a great help.
25/05/2021Jon
It was a beautiful relaxing visit to caban coch! The cabin itself was so beautiful and unique in its decor. The fire place made for a lovely evening watching the stars and the coming back into the warmth of the fire! This little cabin is small but packs a mighty punch of relaxation. The location was stunning! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
18/05/2021Alana
After a an unpredictable and trying year, myself and my girlfriend where desperate to get away and to escape the four walls we had been confined to for what has felt like years! We booked Caban Coch last September with intention to visit in November but with added further restrictions, we had to postpone until January, and then had to further postpone until April of this year. It was a stay that was really worth the wait! It was everything we had been looking for, cosy, relaxing and peaceful. We stayed for 2 nights and with guidance left by Dafydd, we saw just how much there was to do! Plenty of walks to do and the town of Machynlleth is not far away at all! It was even nice just to sit inside with a glass of wine and the fire going! In Caban Coch there were games and books and we enjoyed a few games of chess whilst waiting for the rain to pass! All in all, such a refreshing stay that has re-charged our batteries and left us wanting to return!
30/04/2021Phillip
Lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful location
28/04/2021John
We had the most fantastic stay thank you; beautiful weather, amazing scenery, eating by the campfire every night, stunning walks in Aberdovey and Cadar Idris, the only sounds are the birds and sheep...this is truly what life is all about!
15/04/2021Tina
We had such a lovely time at Caban Coch! It was very easy to settle into the cabin, and after putting on the woodburner we felt right at home. We were really glad we chose such a lovely place as, because of bad weather, we spent more time inside than we had originally planned. The rain didn't ruin our holiday one bit as it was very cosy to sit in front of the woodburner, playing games all day. Must add that the mattress was so comfy- I felt sad going back to my own bed!
29/09/2020Megan
We love the seclusion of mid wales Mountains and it’s closeness to the coast.
06/02/2020Rachel
We had a magnificent stay. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous! It was clean, comfortable and everything one would want it to be. The bedding and bed was luxuriously comfortable and the log-burner made everything toasty and cosy. The facilities served all we needed and the view.. the view, was dreamy and peaceful. We had healthy long walks, briefing in the wonderfully fresh air and then chilled reading our favourite books. Utter bliss!
04/11/2019Natasha
We had a fantastic stay at Caban Coch - I booked as a surprise for my husband's birthday and it exceeded my expectations. The fact that our dog, Keith, could join us made it even more special. The cabin itself was cosy and quirky and the surrounding views were spectacular!
19/10/2019Becky
It was a beautiful, peaceful getaway. Just what we both needed. Nothing like curling up in front of a log-burner on a murky evening.
04/10/2019Sarah
It was amazing, the best little trip! The cabin was lovely the area and views were perfect! We had the best time and our dog couldn’t of been happier! Will 100% return
14/07/2019Abbie
Such a wonderful place. The Caban was perfect, so cosy and the view was insane! Very peaceful, only the sounds of sheep to send you off to sleep!
05/07/2019Lucy
We had a lovely stay at Caban Coch. The cabin is gorgeous and well finished and the surrounding area is beautiful. Of all the cabins in the same area, this one is quite secluded, which was exactly what we wanted, and made it really easy for us to bring our dog who loved running around outside the cabin. There are great walks to do from the cabin and we completely fell in love with the scenery of this part of Wales! Will definitely be coming back.
30/06/2019Zoë
A beautiful place in a wonderful location. We were able to relax, walk and mountain bike. Perfect
31/05/2019Cheryl
Fantastic stay, the cabin was cosy but had everything you needed. The sound of wildlife whilst watching the sunset was so relaxing
13/05/2019Gabrielle
A beautiful, quirky little cabin, nestled away amongst the trees. It was so peaceful here, we just loved it. There was lots to do- walks around the farm, toasting marshmallows and cooking tea on the fire, reading, card games and music in front of the wood burner at night. Everything you need is provided, including luxurious bedding on the most comfortable bed! Hot shower and flushing loo and a fab little kitchen with all the things you’d need. The cabin was immaculatly clean, with gorgeous views from all of the windows and doors. It was in a great location to explore nearby towns, beaches and places of interest. We felt sad to leave and we would certainly recommend this place to others. I stayed here whilst I was 6 months pregnant and I had the most comfortable and relaxing stay! It really was bliss.
03/04/2019Hayley
We adored our stay at Caban Coch - what a wonderfully peaceful setting. We wanted to stay forever
31/03/2019Aimee
An amazing place to stay and get away from the busy surroundings in life. As a person of 26 years old it was really nice to have no TV or phone reception as a distraction. We was very lucky to have a clear end to the day, watched the sun set and spent hours star gazing and see some shooting stars. I couldn't recommend this place more. Me, my partner and our dog loved it.
05/10/2018George
Nice little cabin in a great location.
19/09/2018Jamie
We had a lovely time at Caban Coch, the views were amazing and the cabin was much roomier than we anticipated. Our dog Gilbert absolutely loved it
14/08/2018Connie
We had an amazing stay at Caban Coch! Just what we needed. The Caban was beautiful and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with amazing views from the decking. The walks surrounding the Caban were idyllic , we saw a multitude of wildlife whilst walking around the hills (plenty of sheep). Couldn't recommend this place enough and we will be booking again as soon as possible.
09/08/2018Benjamin
We stayed 2 nights, Saturday and Sunday and it was perfect. The owner emailed and text me to say we could arrive early if we we wanted but didn’t need to this time, the key was in the door when we arrived and everything we needed was in place!
12/05/2018David
Great place, had a lovely time
04/05/2018Caryl
Our stay here was everything we wanted it to be. We toasted marshmallows by the fire, explored the nearby beaches and waterfalls and forgot about the rest of the world.
23/03/2018jasmine
It was absolutely wonderful, perfect and the best holiday we've had in the UK so far! We are already planning our next stay!
15/02/2018Natalie
We had a fabulous stay at Caban Coch. Its a really secluded spot and super peaceful. The weather was pretty miserable all weekend but it was January and Wales! The cabin is really cosy and has everything you need. The wood burner heats the place up very quickly.
26/01/2018alexis
From start to finish Caban Coch was the perfect place to stay. We didn’t arrive until 8.45 and they had kindly put the fire on for us so it was lovely to walk into. Everything is so well thought out and has a space and a purpose. It rained the whole weekend which was absolutely perfect so we could snuggle up on the sofa in front of the fire admiring the view and reading a book. We are already planning our return visit.
19/01/2018Elizabeth
Beautiful snowy stay, we arrived on a cold night so used a lot of the fuel for the log burner, the owner had no problem providing us with more which was handy as there was a big dump of snow the second night. The cabin has a lovely comfy bed and a warm shower. The kitchen is well stocked and there is electricity enough to charge your phone. Decent signal for the phones too. Compost toilet is as discribed on the website simple, hygienic and doesn’t smell in the slightest. The sitting room is lovely and comfy, very cosy in front of the fire with stunning views down the valley.
08/12/2017Edd
Wonderful (as usual) this was our third visit.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband's birthday. The cabin was really well equipped - cosy, bright and comfortable - and with fabulous views over the valley and to the hills beyond. We watched the stars and the Perseid meteor shower by the fire pit at night and curled up in the day to read books whilst looking at the fabulous view. A perfect little cabin for a romantic weekend getaway.

This place is as stunning as the pictures hint at. It's secluded, with beautiful views, and stunning scenery and walks. The cabin is quirky, fun, cosy and comfortable. We were only here for a weekend and wished we could stay longer. Will be booking again, can't recommend it enough.
04/08/2017Elke
Myself and my daughter had a wonderful time in the Caban Coch, beautiful setting and great accommodation. Its the second time we have stayed and will definitely be back.

Great location. Quiet & peaceful. Caban was snug. Lovely walks possible from the door. Other places within easy reach.
28/07/2017Jonathan
It was a perfect little weekend getaway after a particularly stressful week. The sheep were plentiful and like the other reviews we were really impressed with the privacy of the place. Really comfortable cabin would love to return in the future.
30/06/2017Amy
We spent the weekend of 19-21st May 2017 at Caban Coch and the 3 other cabins on the Beudy Banc site. It was a family gathering, adults and children, and everyone really enjoyed it. The setting was gorgeous, the weather largely good, and the facilities quirky and attractive. We had a great time.
19/05/2017Pat
Great Cabin, with one of the best views out of the canopy and stars places we have stayed. It had everything we needed, and was well stocked with firewood. Visit tio ynyshir hall was epic.
12/05/2017Nick
We had an amazing 2 night stay at this beautifully crafted cabin. The area is stunning, and the cabin is comfortable, cosy and terribly romantic. The woodburner kept us toasty and the immediate surroundings are just fab!
23/04/2017Sara
A very relaxing stay, time away from it all. We didn't see another soul the whole time (apart from at a distance)! The caban was just perfect.
10/04/2017Rosie
Nice and peacefully good walking and star gazing our dog loved it too.
07/04/2017Josh
Lovely stay at Cabin coch, nice cabin and location, lovely surroundings. Friendly people and
31/03/2017Dave
We had a wonderful stay. The caban is set in a peaceful, beautiful surroundings, couldn't be more relaxing. The quirky decor works perfectly and the log burning stove makes for a cosy little retreat. Can't recommend it enough.
26/03/2017Ellie
I absolutely loved it, a tidy compact and well maintained space in a perfect location with plenty of wood fuel for the wood burner x
26/12/2016Anne
Had an amazing 3 nights spending all day walking our dog in the welsh countryside and taking him to the beach for the first time following by cooking and relaxing in the cabin at night!
27/11/2016David
Fabulous relaxing couple of days, felt like we were the only people for miles! Beautiful surrounding area but it was hard to leave the coziness of the cabin!
23/11/2016Jennifer
Excellent in all ways. Great place, great set-up. Site is calm and peaceful, good environment and location for on-site off-site activities and visits.
29/08/2016Jim
A perfect 2 night getaway. Everything you need and more is in this gorgeous space, and pretty much all we could see from any window was green and sheep! It was so relaxing and such an enjoyable place to hole up with your fiancé for a couple of nights. The wood burner is the icing on the cake.
20/08/2016Rachel
Mid week 2 day stay. Beautiful location and private. Good walks if you fancy that. Or just laze around enjoying the quietness.
02/08/2016claire
We stayed in a beautiful, secluded Welsh Caban in the Powyss countryside, the only noises we heard for three days were sheep, cows and the nearby stream. The sunsets were like nothing I've seen before, I didn't want to leave
17/07/2016Elizabeth
A brilliant 3 days of relaxation in well designed and comfortable surroundings. We both loved the little 'nest' bed and the wood burner and the panoramic views when walking in and around the site were breathtaking ! We would love to return.
29/03/2016Phil
We absolutely loved Caban Coch! Ticked all the boxes for us. We were seeking a get back to nature retreat for myself, my wife and our 3 year old little boy. We found the cabin to be cozy, clean and atmospheric. The log burner was lovely, and the owners provided us with plentiful fuel to keep us warm. I've already recommended it to followers on social network, and we'll definitely be returning!
18/03/2016David
The cabin was everything that we could have hoped for. From the moment we got there we knew we were going to have a lovely time! The cosy cabin, outside fire and the peacefulness was what we were looking for, and the cabin gave us that experience. The setting of the cabin was fantastic and the homely feel of the cabin felt like we were in our own home. They had obvious put a lot of thought into the decor and this enhanced the vibe of the cabin. Overall we are more than pleased with the stay and the cabin.
14/02/2016Catherine
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Caban Coch; it was very cosy and in the middle of wondrous surroundings!
29/01/2016Kate
Unfortunately the stay was short lived due to illness on our part. The cabin itself was lovely, a real gem! The weather was atrocious but the cosy cabin made it all better! We will definitely re-visit the cabin in the future to fully explore the surroundings.
27/11/2015Amanda
We went for couple of days. Weather was also in our favour. Caban was cosy and beautiful. My wife loved it so much. We went for 5K walk it was lovely nice sunny and quiet.
27/09/2015Umesh
It took our breath away, especially my husband, who had no idea where I was taking him. It was perfect for us, the cabin was clean and kitted out with all essentials and it was surprisingly roomy. There were plenty of breathtaking walks which were close by. We were fortunate with the weather, the clear skies added to the magnificent backdrop of this cosy little spot. On our return I was very quick to share the photos with friends and family. We absolutely loved it.
05/08/2015Maria
It was fantastic from start to finish!
03/08/2015Craig
Perfect location and everything we expected plus more. We wanted a quiet, peaceful holiday away and thats exactly what we got. We had everything we needed in the cabin, plus some great information was provided about the surrounding area.
31/07/2015Yasmin
Very peaceful and comfortable stay in an area of exceptional beauty.
28/07/2015Michelle & Chris
Lovely, had all we needed and more. Tranquil with lovely long grasses and flowers filled with butterflies all around.
12/07/2015Anna
It was amazing, total peace and quiet and the Caban had everything we needed. Our dog thought it was fantastic too. We didn't want to come back to the real world!
08/06/2015Katie
The cabin was in a lovely location, both the immediate surroundings and the local area, with lots of things to see and do. Even though we had some typical British weather (rain, thunderstorms, hail and howling wind alongside some sunshine!) the cabin was nice and cosy, with a woodburner and plenty of space to sit and relax.
31/05/2015Alex
A thoroughly lovely weekend, the cabin was cosy and we enjoyed a break from the city!
16/05/2015Laura
When we sit at work daydreaming of been somewhere far away and in your minds eye you can imagine it.....Well this is It.beautiful and peaceful,, like balm for the soul.

A fantastic two days in an amazing valley filled with interesting places and adventure
15/03/2015David
What a fantastic place, a real piece of Welsh heaven. Great views, superb cabin, cant fault it! Would definitely recommend both Canopy & Stars and Caban Coch.
13/03/2015Gez
Cosy & peaceful, just what was needed!
27/02/2015Kim
The most magical place! Outstanding views and sunsets with everything we could possibly need for a cosy weekend. The wood burner was perfect - no need for a TV!
06/02/2015Sarah
We had a wonderful time. The cabin was a colourful and cosy space, set in a peaceful wooded valley. Despite gale force winds, sleet and hail, we still kept warm, and it didn't matter that at times the weather kept us inside, because the views were beautiful!
26/01/2015Jessica
"Amazing. Wonderful location. Fun accommodation"
29/12/2014Inga
"We loved every moment in Caban Coch! It felt like we'd stumbled across a real treasure. It was cosy, romantic and tucked away in the most beautiful valley in Wales with just sheep as neighbours!"
06/10/2014Laura
"We had a fantastic time at Caban Coch, and we were actually pleased when the rain came bucketing down on the second day, forcing us to stay inside and watch the storm with hot chocolates. The dog and cat who roam about freely were a lovely, friendly surprise and watching the pair of red kites (at least I think that's what they were) soaring around the valley was incredible. The accommodation itself was all fantastic - comfortable, cheerfully decorated and practically laid out. I'd recommend it to any couple looking to escape for a couple of days."
31/08/2014Helen
"we absolutely loved our stay, it was idyllic. The owners were friendly and helpful. The cabin was quirky and felt tailor made for us. The views were stunning, we could have sat and enjoyed them all day."
29/08/2014Natasha
"Excellent. Everything was excellent, fabulous cabin, remote, amazing views yet close to everthing you need. We would definitely return. Loved every minute"
10/06/2014Jacqui
"We absolutly loved our stay. Everything was so well thought out and well made. The setting was idyllic and so peaceful. We were so happy we wished we could have stayed longer! We even made a friend in the farm's sheepdog, Moss."
19/05/2014Sarah
"The caban was lovely and in a beautiful setting and very peaceful. Mother Nature threw everything at it though which limited our activities somewhat. Caban and location was great, log burner was better than having a TV and it was so relaxing and peaceful, the weather was awful!"
09/05/2014Chris
"Amazing stay - pictures on the website do not quite do the cabin justice. When there, you feel very privileged to be in such a quiet, secluded, special place. Very good value - and why leave your beautiful cabin for some restaurant when you can cook a lovely meal - inside or out - and this saves a fortune, if that is what you want."
18/04/2014Jane
"Excellent little place."
11/04/2014Steven
"We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Caban Coch, only wished we'd have booked to stay for another night! We (including our dog) were definitely not ready to go home! It was instantly relaxing and the caban was so cosy with all the amenities needed with beautiful surrounding views."
01/04/2014Jaime
"The most enjoyable holiday we have had in a long time. Location, peace and quiet and no light pollution, the stars at night were absolutely amazing."
28/02/2014Bryan
"It was Blissful! Perfect place to go and escape."
24/02/2014Carolyn
"We loved our stay in Caban Coch, could have stayed much longer than 2 nights. It was beautiful countryside, completely silent and very cosy to be tucked up in front of the log burner at night. Lots of sheep, a cat and a dog and no other people for 3 days. Just what we wanted :)"
20/11/2013Faye
"We very much enjoyed our stay, uninterrupted bliss. Best thing about our stay was the seclusion of being in the forest with a log fire to keep us warm. Worst part was leaving to return to noisy London."
15/11/2013Angharad
"Journey wasn't too far from home, very secluded and private. Kitted out beautifully, bed really comfy, snug, warm, wonderful, owners lovely and welcoming, can't say a bad word about it. Best thing was having no tv which meant you had a proper conversation! Worst thing? Nah."
08/11/2013Ellen
"Stay was lovely and location was brilliant. We didn't see anyone there the whole time (5 nights). Very relaxing."
03/11/2013David
"It was a lovely holiday, cosy cabin felt very homely."
22/09/2013Marie
"Had a really fantastic time, the caban had all the creature comforts you need with some spectacular views."
30/08/2013Cormac
"We enjoyed our stay at Caban Coch and it was in such a beautiful and peaceful location. My husband loved being able to get on his mountain bike and explore the trails from the cabin without having to get in a car and drive somewhere. I also really loved the quirky style of the way in which the cabin is decorated."

"It is the nicest holiday we have had in a while. The cabin was so artfully decorated with vintage nostalgia and was very cosy, compact and well planned. The windows were large and the doors opened right up giving a light and airy feel so in the summer it can be opened and in winter the lovely burner would keep it really cosy. I would recommend Caban Coch to anybody loving the simple vintage lifestyle and I have gone home with lots of lovely ideas. The couple who own the property were extremely helpful and let you have the privacy of the cabin but were there if you needed them at their farm house. It was nice to book somewhere looking so nice on the website to find it even better on arrival. There was nothing I could say bad about our stay. Only that we wish we could have stayed longer!!"
30/06/2013Sarah
"The cabin was lovely and toasty, isolated enough to make it feel like there was nobody else around, however there was plenty of opportunity for walking, cycling and exploring."
08/04/2013Fiona
"One word describes our stay at Caban Coach - epic! We chose the location initially to try the local mountain bike routes and weren't disappointed. The highest parts of Mach 2/3 were snow covered and the wind so strong at one point I was blown off my bike! However, knowing that Caban Coch was waiting for us at the end of each day made it all seem easier. A beer on the decking followed by watching the sunset from the sofa in front of the wood burner was bliss. The cabin was well equipped and cosy, with never ending hot water, amazing views and a comfy bed. Did we enjoy our stay? Absolutely!"
01/04/2013Gemma
"Our stay at Caban Coch was amazing. The Cabin was small but perfectly formed, with every detail thought of down to the welcome cakes and logs for the fire. The views were amazing, and when we sat in front of the fire in the evening we could see the sun setting over the hills - bliss. There was nothing bad about our stay - only that we couldn't stay longer! The best thing was the secluded location with fantastic views. The cabin was so cosy and welcoming - great after a day out on the hills. The location was perfect as well - 20mins to the sea side and 5 mins to the hills, what more could we possible want!?"
26/03/2013Hannah
"Loved the cabin; it had all the comforts of home. A great touch was the cake our hosts left out for our arrival and the cabin has a lovely wood burning stove to set the mood. We went for a little bike ride around the local area; the hills are impressive but the view was well worth the effort. We gave that up after a few hours however to lounge around by the camp fire instead. The location is private and gives you a lovely view of the farm further down the valley so you don't feel entirely cut off.The highlight of the trip for me was the night sky! I have never seen so many stars it was absolutely breath-taking and I was pleased to see a sketch-book and quite a few paper back novels to keep me entertained during the rainy days. I would recommend this cabin in any weather; it's lovely to sit out on the deck in the sun and even better to snuggle up next to the fire and look out of the big French doors at the rainy landscape. The price is competitive and great value and if your looking for a romantic retreat away from the city, this is the place for you!"
13/03/2013Emma
"One of the best breaks my partner and I had had in a long time! I had booked Caban Coch as a surprise getaway for my partner and I after he decided to pop the question and ask me to marry him. He didn't know where we were going until we pulled up at the cabin. He had an ear to ear grin on his face! The location was absolutely beautiful even in the rain. It's hidden well off the beaten track down a secluded dirt driveway in a quiet valley surrounded by the tallest trees. Once inside the cabin we were greeted by lovely Welsh cakes, a wood burning stove and a unique and quirky decor style which included floral sofas and all sorts of random objects adorning the walls. A lovely touch was all of the drawings and paintings created by previous guests which the owners had pinned to the walls. It was lovely to be able to catch a glimpse of how others had viewed their time at the Cabin. All power was supplied by gas cylinders and the cabin was heated by a wood burning stove. The toilet was a charming Eco-friendly compost toilet and the shower was lovely and warm, which was always a welcoming sight after a long day of walking in the Welsh hills! There were lots of wonderful hiking suggestions left by the owners of Caban Coch and plenty more suggestions in the guest book. In the evenings we built a camp fire outside and sat on the porch of the cabin watching the stars and eating roasted marshmallows and sausages. On the rainier evenings we huddled up on the cozy sofa and watched the log burner roar whilst sipping wine and listening to the radio. All in all, this was the perfect romantic getaway. Far from the hustle of London life that both my partner and I are so accustomed to. It was lovely to go to bed in a pitch dark room and to wake up to the sound of bird song and sheep bleating in the distance. I would recommend Caban Coch to anybody looking to escape the rat run for a few days and I will guarantee you that you will never want to leave! Thank you so much Canopy and Stars for finding us such an amazing holiday stay and thank you to the owners of Caban Coch for allowing us to share a little slice of your Welsh Heaven!"
07/03/2013Anna
"The coch was wonderful- secluded and quiet and everything we wanted from our holiday accommodation. The interior was amazing- we could tell that a lot of work had gone in to making the cabin just perfect."
24/02/2013Katherine
"We really enjoyed our stay. The Caban is situated very peacefully in a valley. The sounds of the stream coming down the mountain, which runs just past the Caban, is all you can hear. That, and the odd bleat of a sheep. The Caban was clean, tidy and beautifully designed. We had some amazing runs along the mountain biking trails. The scenery is stunning and the maps provided are clear. Next best was flopping down for a cup of tea on the comfy sofa."
15/02/2013Barbara
"It exceeded expectations. The cabin had all we needed and the views were spectacular. We saw the Milky Way for the first time in years."
08/12/2012Elaine
"Two days of peace, with fantastic views. Caban Coch was a little piece of Welsh Heaven."
17/11/2012J. & S. McCarthy
"We had a great time. The cabin was so lovely and cosy. It had everything we needed under one roof. Great location too."
13/11/2012Ruth
"Absolutely amazing stay. Well thought out cabin, maximising a very limited space. Was very warm and snug and a stepping stone away from some of the most amazing walks you'll do in the UK. Pictures do not do the Cabin or the surroundings enough justice. It really is a slice of heaven."
11/11/2012David
"It was absolutely perfect. You know how you pour over pictures before you go, then worry it wasn't going to be as good as it looked? Well this was - utterly perfect in every way."
09/11/2012Jennifer
"Fantastic. Very high quality accommodation. Perfect for a retreat."
30/10/2012Tom
"The cabin was delightful and we were sorry to have to leave at the end of our stay! The pictures on the website delivered. The quality of the cabin fittings etc was superb, the views to die for, and the peace and quiet marvelous (we appeared to be the only people at the site). Considering the quality of the fixtures (including an extremely comfortable bed and quality pure cotton bedlinen), the place was good value for money. Hot water was plentiful, as required. We would definitely like to return when finances permit!"
15/08/2012Ginny
"We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin, the scenery, the weather, everything was far beyond anything we were hoping for! It was exceptional! The cabin itself was, in my opinion, the best thing about our stay. It is such a unique and special place that you cannot help but feel truly happy in. The worst thing was only really that we weren't able to stay longer. I would definitely recommend staying for 3 or more nights. 2 just didn't feel like long enough!"
03/08/2012Polly
"The stay was wonderful - very quiet and peaceful so exactly what we were after. The cabin itself was well thought out, very clean and extremely quirky!"
31/07/2012Joanna
"This was a great little cabin to stay in. Quirky decoration, homely feel, well organised space! So much so, that I think I am going to copy some ideas! Lovely feeling of freedom and space which was just the ticket after a stressful few months."
05/07/2012Monica
"We loved it - most fantastic spot and beautifully kitted out. Lots of useful information on places to go - we will definitely go back at some point."
30/06/2012Susanna
"It was fantastic, the caban was sooo much nicer than I expected, didn't realise it was so new. The location in terms of the views from the caban were really lovely, it was so quiet. The caban itself although small, didn't feel like it as it was so well equipped and well laid out. Very comfortable. The little touches, the quirky fixtures & fittings really made it special."
19/06/2012Hilary
"It was everything we expected with the added bonus of it being more remote and peaceful than we could have hoped for. We didn't see anyone during our first three days. It is really private, picturesque and relaxing."
23/05/2012Oliver
"It was fantastic, a lovely relaxing few days in the country. The cabin was perfect - cosy, quirky, and practical. It was decorated with real charm, care and attention to detail. It had everything we needed, plus more (an ipod dock! an OS map! a watercolour set!). The hot water was a pleasant surprise. The setting was beautiful, with gorgeous views from the window, and plenty to do in the local area. I'd recommend this for anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway in a beautiful, quiet location."
11/04/2012Stephen
"Loved our stay at the cabin and Ceri and Dafydd did their best to make sure we were looked after without being around too much either so we could fully appreciate the remoteness of the location. The mountain bike routes that Dafydd mapped out and left details of for the cabin were great and Ceri's style throughout the the cabin was colourful and inspiring. The best thing for us was the location and the mountain bike routes that our hosts had created for us across farm land and throughout the valley, which gave us a real feeling of escape - so nice to get off the OS national routes and feel really alone."
09/04/2012Kate
"Thankyou very much for the flowers, champagne and cake for my birthday! A lovely welcome and much appreciated - delicious cake! We would love to come back when the sun is shining."
06/04/2012Kirsty & Tom
"Simply the best break ever. So cosy. So remote. Full on rest & relaxation (plus two fantastic mountain bike rides!) Thanks Daf & Ceri"
29/03/2012Nada & Phil
"The cabin is so cosy with its quirky décor & log burner & the location is stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks over the surrounding hills & would love to come back again as this is the perfect weekend escape from busy city life."

Our 2nd time at this cabin (3rd at Beaudy Blanc) and likely not the last. It’s a truly special place - the location is stunning and the quiet helps clear the mind. Wonderful in every way and more so for our dog - she’s at her happiest there.

We booked Caban Coch as a last minute getaway and we were blown away by the cabin and the location. It's very unique and so cosy. The bed is very comfortable. We spent the evenings sat outside by the log fire watching the sunset and spent the day out walking and climbed up Cadair

We had a lovely stay at Caban Coch this weekend , beautiful little escape and so so cosy ! So nice to revisit the area I grew up in and be surrounded by nature - medicine for the mind :)

Absolutely stunning location. Surrounded by woodland, punctuated by rivers and stunning views of the mountains in the distance.

An great little cabin in a fine location.

The site is lovely and super easy to find with the instructions provided. Caban Coch was really cosy, perfect for a weekend getaway together. The accommodation is lovely and the owners have clearly put a lot of love and effort into creating it.

17/11/2017Tony
We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband's birthday. The cabin was really well equipped - cosy, bright and comfortable - and with fabulous views over the valley and to the hills beyond. We watched the stars and the Perseid meteor shower by the fire pit at night and curled up in the day to read books whilst looking at the fabulous view. A perfect little cabin for a romantic weekend getaway.
12/08/2017Amy Louise
This place is as stunning as the pictures hint at. It's secluded, with beautiful views, and stunning scenery and walks. The cabin is quirky, fun, cosy and comfortable. We were only here for a weekend and wished we could stay longer. Will be booking again, can't recommend it enough.
04/08/2017Elke
Myself and my daughter had a wonderful time in the Caban Coch, beautiful setting and great accommodation. Its the second time we have stayed and will definitely be back.
01/08/2017Elizbaeth

19/07/2013Charlotte

"Simply the best break ever. So cosy. So remote. Full on rest & relaxation (plus two fantastic mountain bike rides!) Thanks Daf & Ceri"

"The cabin is so cosy with its quirky décor & log burner & the location is stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks over the surrounding hills & would love to come back again as this is the perfect weekend escape from busy city life."
