A cabin can look stunning online and still feel wrong when you get there, which is why we go in person. We lie on the beds, run the taps, cook in the kitchen, and gauge whether the space feels thoughtfully designed or just pretty in photos. 

We also spend time with the owners. We look for people who obsess over the experience, like the makers who position a window purely for the sunrise, build sheltered outdoor showers, tuck books into corners, or leave a note pointing you to their favourite trail.
