About Canopy & Stars
More from Sawday's
Can a log cabin holiday really be all you imagined? Faint smell of woodsmoke drifting and mingling with plumes of hot tub steam, ice cold glass in hand in the thick summer heat – is this really achievable? Our collection of creative cabins with hot tubs, from a three-storey beehive in Devon, to a classic frontier lodge in Cumbria and a floating cabin castle in France, are the perfect places to live out your fantasies. We personally inspect every single one, finding those special touches that make your log cabin holiday a reality.
We've been walking with guests from activist Mikaela Loach to adventurer Alastair Humphreys and the lady known as The Human Swan. We've climbed mountains with Lise Wortley, foraged with Gaz Oakley and done the rounds on the farm with Julius Roberts . We were even nominated in the British Podcast Awards alongside Lily Allen and Kathy Burke.
Canopy & Stars is a small, independent travel company with a focus on unique places to stay in nature. We aim to champion sustainability and make a positive impact on the world with all our choices. It’s our pleasure to work with our owners, who put their heart and soul into making their spaces. Every single log cabin holiday, or indeed any property we recommend, is inspected, slept in, and certified special.
Time spent by yourself in nature is soul nourishing and restorative. It’s the chance to switch off from the chatter of daily life, relax deeply and reconnect with your dreams and goals. Take a look at our peaceful cabins for safe solo breaks in the wild.
The added luxury of a sauna ups the wellbeing credentials of your cabin holiday. We’re adding more and more places with saunas to bring you glamping getaways that nourish mind, body and soul. Take a look at our favourite cabins with saunas.
Escape the city for the countryside, and swap reality for a starring role in your favourite film or TV show. Stay nearby in a cosy cabin and after the exhilaration of seeing spectacular filming locations up close, you can cuddle up by the wood burner to rewatch your favourite film or TV show, and spot the places you’ve just visited.
From windswept walks and long pub lunches to board games, group yoga sessions and tempting local distilleries, you’ll be surprised at how much there is to do out of season.
A cosy cabin holiday is one of the most chilled breaks you can imagine, full of lazy days basking in sunshine or the glow of a fire, as you drift from meal to meal without ever really knowing what the time is. It does, however, take a tiny bit of work to be that relaxed, so we’ve put together our cosy cabin packing list.
Whether you fancy al fresco yoga, coastal walks, paddleboarding or stargazing, our places offer unique ways to get back in tune with the rhythms of nature. If you can whip up a tasty dinner and take a long soak outside too, there’s no need to come inside until those soft, squidgy pillows start calling.
