Overview
Tucked into the hedgerow where it blends into its environment, Meadowscape is named for the wonderful view that stretches out in front of it, with patchwork fields and the hills on the horizon. This is a spot to take time out from your daily life and recharge.
The inside of this cabin is spacious, with a kitchen/lounge where you can relax in front of a wood burner and cook up meals to either enjoy at the table, or outside under the large, covered deck. The bathroom’s got your indoor toilet, and a walk-in shower to start the day fresh. The bedroom is where you’ll find your king-sized bed, overlooking a set of French doors with a wonderful view. The cabin’s designed to be low impact on the environment, with the timber sourced from The Forest of Dean, and the electricity all from solar (though this does mean you need to leave the hairdryer at home).
Outside, the covered deck will demand most of your attention, with loungers to kick back and enjoy some downtime and maybe the odd nap or two. Tucked into the side – the outdoor bath tub begs for an evening spent soaking away your troubles, and a glass of something chilled.

Meet Annie and Ted
Annie and Ted returned to this beautiful part of the world in 2021 after retiring from careers in music and early years education in the West Midlands. They met in 1981, about ten miles from where they are now, and are very happy to have come home! Ted is a renowned saxophonist (you might be lucky to catch a local gig!) and Annie dabbles in stained glass, pieces of which you will see in the lodge. They look forward to welcoming you to Meadowscape!
Wildlife & environment
The land is a beautiful meadow, rich in wildflowers and surrounded by an old hedge and trees providing beautiful blossom in the spring. The neighbouring fields are used for grazing sheep and cattle, so no loud farm machinery at work! Guests often spot red kites and buzzards and hear the owls at night. Plenty of rabbits and occasionally a muntjac! The hedges and trees mean there’s a plenty of birdlife.
Queen Victoria called Tenbury Wells "her little town in the orchard", and the area is still known for its old orchards and fruit growing. It's also known as the mistletoe capital of England, and, in the run up to Christmas, there is the Mistletoe Festival, and an auction attracting buyers from all over.

The stay was perfect. We were greeted by Annie who showed us around the cabin and as we were celebrating she left a gorgeous carrot cake along with other bits. The cabin was immaculate, very cosy, and very quiet. The horses in the field opposite would always come over to say hello and as it’s lambing season, the binoculars were such a touch to watch them running around in the next field. The outdoor bath looks directly at the sunset which made the experience even more special. We will absolutely stay again, it is literally a slice of heaven

Perfect stay from start to finish. The cabin was fantastic, really cosy and well equipped with lots of lovely touches. Annie was the perfect host, great recommendation for dinner nearby and a lovely lady.

We absolutely loved Meadowscape! It was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The cabin is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Annie was so lovely and helpful and her and Ted left us a basket with nibbles and even a cake as we were there to celebrate our anniversary - which was so sweet of them! Couldn't recommend the cabin enough, we loved everything about it and our stay.
25/02/2025Fiona
Me and my partner stayed in Meadowscape for a little valentine’s getaway and it was everything we wanted and more, a perfect place to unwind and recharge. Lovely Annie met us on arrival and showed us around, gave us some handy recommendations and left some yummy treats to enjoy. Honestly a perfect stay from start to finish, from the stunning and cosy interior to the refreshingly secluded location. So glad we chose Meadowscape as our first Canopy and Stars stay and we would definitely return! Couldn’t recommend it more so if you’re debating it, stop and just book! :)

My husband and I had the most wonderful stay at Meadowscape - it was just what we needed to unwind from our usual busy lifestyle! The space was incredibly secluded and cosy, and the log burner was absolutely incredible! Annie and Ted were so accomodating, and all the little touches made us feel very looked after. Cannot recommend Meadowscape enough, and we will certainly be returning!
05/02/2025Esther
We had a truly wonderful time here! Annie and Ted are incredibly kind and welcoming. When I got lost, Annie patiently gave me directions, and in the end, she even came to pick me up. When the power tripped because of the kettle’s high wattage, Ted kindly helped me reset it. We came here to celebrate Chinese New Year, and the moment we stepped inside, we were touched to see the beautiful Chinese lanterns Annie had thoughtfully prepared. We also celebrated my birthday here, and Annie’s cake was absolutely delicious. They are such lovely people! Oh, and something truly special happened—my boyfriend proposed to me here. We feel so happy to have spent such memorable days here, and I really hope to return one day. Thank you, Annie and Ted!

It was great. The cabin was beautifully designed, spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, great area for cooking in the kitchen, a hot shower and good area for watching tv. We didn't use the bath outside because of the weather. The cabin was warm and cosy. We were able to link our Netflix account to watch TV. We had breakfast outside listening to the birds. I will definitely recommend this cabin to friends to stay at.

Had the most magical time at this wonderful and clean cabin surrounded by lovely horses that greeted you every morning. The best bit was getting wrapped up to watch the sunrise on a cold frosty morning, then into the outdoor bath to get warmed up. What a treat. Will definitely be coming back to enjoy it in the summertime.
