Overview
Twit for Twoo looks out over the sloping curve of a valley, hidden in its own little world on a cattle farm in Devon. It's completely off grid and the most you can see of civilisation will be a few farm buildings on the horizon, so if you choose to, you can settle down for a few days, and go absolutely nowhere, revelling in solitude. Spend a couple of hours reading in the net hammock, soaking in the wood fired hot tub, or with your feet up by the log burner. It’s the perfect place to wildlife spot, with wildfowl, deer and rabbits wandering past by day, and owls hooting in the trees by night.
If you feel the urge to stretch your legs, there’s walks aplenty close by, or Dartmoor National Park a little further away. Just under 10 minutes away is the famous Tarka Trail – for as much or as little as you can walk of its 180-mile length. If coastline’s more your scene, then you’re half an hour from Westward Ho! And Saunton Sands. A little further, and you’ll hit Putsborough beach and Woolacombe, where you can revel in their award-winning sands, and beautiful coastal walks.

Meet Stuart
Stuart and Charli built the cabin to diversify the family farm, allowing others to enjoy and explore this hidden gem in Devon. The Twit for Twoo cabin has also been featured on the TV program George Clarke's Amazing Spaces, who loved the sustainable approach using wood and materials from the farm and nearby woodlands along with the fitting owl theme throughout.
Wildlife and the environment
The secluded, private cabin which is set in its own personal nature spot is home to a wide range of wildlife. Perfect for watching for wildfowl over the hedge alongside the river; deer, rabbits, foxes and of course, owls. You are guaranteed to see a cow as your curious neighbour.
The cabin is off-grid, powered with solar and wind energy, wood fire for heating and LPG gas to heat the water and cook.
The farm is working with Devon Wildlife Trust to plant hundreds of trees and surveying watercourses encouraging farming and nature to work alongside one another.

01/09/2023Annabel
We had a fabulous stay. It was perfect from start to finish. The cabin was cosy & the hot tub was such a treat! Stuart was the nicest and kindest host. The location, the views, the peace and quiet.. it was everything and more. It was exactly what we needed and our favourite part was having no 3G in the cabin it really made us appreciate the stay more. Waking up in the morning to a coffee and the view with birds chirping and the sun shining really set us up for the day. We will defiantly be back!

We had a great time staying at the little cabin. Clear instructions to find it and it was really set out of the way so it was really quiet and peaceful. It had everything we needed, including a BBQ and hot tub to make our stay very relaxing. Overall we had a great time and would love to come back!
16/06/2023Phoebe
We had the most peaceful stay in the tranquil Devon countryside. The place was perfect, we loved sitting on the veranda and reading with a cuppa. The cream tea on arrival was also a lovely addition! We explored the local area and the farm on foot with some advice from Stu on strolls around the farm. We then headed to local farm shops and pubs which made for a good day out. We also really enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub which was new and an unexpected bonus of our stay!

What an amazing place ! The cabin is perfect for a relaxing peaceful break. The large window is great for watching the Deer, Foxes and Buzzards etc. The log burner will keep you snug in the evenings and the bed is super comfy. The cabin has everything you need. Stu was on hand if needed for advice on walks & the local area. Can't wait to revisit.
27/03/2023MARTIN
We had a fantastic stay. The accommodation was perfect, simple but well appointed.

Twit for Twoo is a cleverly designed cabin on an idyllic Devon hillside. The owners have made a great use of the space and the huge picture window is ideal for wildlife watching. The trapdoor in the mezzanine bedroom is also a bit of fun, as is spotting the many different owls that the owners have dotted around the space in various artistic forms!
