Overview
Caban Crwn is a curious combination of simple frontier cabin and cheery, colourful beach hut. The broad deck, plain wooden frontage and simple firepit make you think wilderness, while the striped fabrics of the interior and the burgundy paint of the wood burner are much more ‘cosy cottage’. Even more surprising is the use of the space. The bed is on a mezzanine level that leaves the ground floor nice and roomy, while the shower and compost loo are through a hidden door just opposite the entrance. There’s even storage space outside under the deck, so you won’t be stuck with your “fragrant” hiking or biking gear.
Hiking or biking is a must while at Caban Crwn, or any of the handful of Beudy Banc cabins that dot the hillside. The downhill bike trails are spectacular and you’re within striking distance of the famous Howie’s Endero route. For a more leisurely journey, Machynlleth is just five miles away and can furnish you with the perfect end to all good walks or rides, a stop in a great country pub. When the day’s over, soothe those devastated calves and quads by booking a spot in the sauna, and finishing off with a dip in the plunge pool.

We had a fantastic time - it was our second time at the location ( but a different cabin ) . Absolutely loved it and I know we will be back again .

Lovely relaxing stay at Caban Crwn. The scenery is beautiful and the cabin is so cosy. The log burner kept the cabin so warm and cosy and it really felt like a great place to switch off and be with nature! Great location for biking we did the climachx trail which was about 20 minute drive for the cabin but I’m sure there would be lots of routes directly from the site. It would have been helpful to have had some local recommendations from the owner, maybe a booklet left in the cabin of some walking, biking and restaurant recommendation for people who are not familiar with the area.

Wonderful stay. I went for a solo retreat and it was just perfect. Beautiful setting surrounding by trees and the sun setting right in front of you every evening. The cabin is lovely and cosy. You can look out at the stars from your bed through the little porthole style window above your head. Firepit outside and a great wood burner inside. No hassle checking in. A lot of freedom and respect given by the owner.

Myself and my partner brought our eight-month-old daughter to Caban Crwn on her first holiday and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The Caban is set in a lovely space overlooking mountains and vast stretches of forest with only the bubbling of the stream and hoots of owls to be heard at night. Caban Crwn itself is wonderfully cosy, with a log-burner to keep the space warm on chilly autumn nights. We had plenty of space to set up the travel cot and cook simple meals on the hob, though we spent most of our time outside sat by the fire pit roasting marshmallows underneath one of the clearest skies I’ve ever seen. A beautiful place to stay and we would come back in a heartbeat!

Me and my family had an amazing time at the caban, it is nice, quiet and such amazing views
01/08/2023Kayleigh
We had a wonderful stay at Caban Crwn. We stayed for 5 nights in total. The site was easy to find and access. It was close to a big town so provisions were easy to come by and scenic destinations easy to get to.

05/05/2023Helen
It was absolutely perfect. What a beautiful cabin in the most beautiful setting. Peace, quiet, superb views and everything we needed. Loved it!
07/04/2023Leanne
This cabin is much more spacious than it looks from the outside. The views are stunning. Being able to sit with a cup of tea in bed and watch the sunrise is beautiful. We were able to easily join the trails in the area from the farm. Everything was provided for you, including all your fire wood.
24/03/2023Laura
A cosy and quiet retreat from busy life, our stay was the perfect way to switch off and enjoy being in nature, despite the cold March temperatures! We based ourselves here to explore great walks around Snowdon and Beddgelert which were just over an hours drive away. The cabin is located in a large field with several other cabins, but they are positioned in a way that each cabin feels secluded. The only source of heating is a wood burning stove, which kept the cabin very warm, even when it was snowing outside! There were games, cards and books in the cabin which was lovely, and we spent hours playing card games by the fire. The cabin had all the cooking equipment needed, towels, bedding etc. It is worth bearing in mind that there are no plug sockets in the cabin. However, there is a solar charging point for USB cables which works to charge phones etc. It is a good excuse not to bring laptops/electricals! Check in was very easy,. The host was communicative and let us check in early when our plans changed.
10/03/2023Amy
Woodpeckers, owls, foxes, and a friendly farm cat. Loved my stay soooo much.
19/09/2022Graham
We stayed for 6 nights with our four year old son. The stay was to celebrate my 40th birthday and it was awesome. Plenty of space for the three of us with a LOT of stuff in tow. Great to be able to park right next to the caban. The view was beautiful and our caban was a bit more private than the three above us...we weren't particularly overlooked. Our son loved collecting buckets of water from the stream to put out the fire, scamping in the woods, and chasing his ball down the track. Lovely relaxing place to chill. Good to be able to charge phones in caban, toilet was decent and the water pressure in the little cute shower was better than at home! There is a freezer in a farm outbuilding that you can use - this wasn't made apparent and if I hadn't overheard another glamper mention it we wouldn't have known. Makes the cool box in the caban make a lot more sense! Be sure to take ice blocks. Daffyd the owner is ace - he texted me to say the caban was ready with keys in door and was around but not intrusive in any way.
14/08/2022Jonathan
Our stay at Caban Crwn was fantastic. The cabin itself had everything we needed. The location was perfect.
03/06/2022oliver
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a few nights and it was absolutely beautiful. The scenery and surroundings were breathtaking. The cabin was spotlessly clean and fulfilled all of our needs. We would one hundred percent come back here, it was one of the most wholesome breaks me and my boyfriend have ever experienced. Thank you so much Dafydd and Ceri for the perfect break away x
18/04/2022Megan
Wonderful stay at Caban Crwn, very comfortable little cabin, lovely and warm (in fact we had to open some windows!) With the fire lit. comfortable bed and lovely to wake up to the dawn chorus. The owners have thought of everything. Location is great too with stunning views from the deck. Thank you!

We had a great stay at Caban Crwn! It was a beautiful location and the place itself was so nicely decorated and surprisingly spacious!
05/11/2021Hannah
We stayed in Caban Crwn for 2 nights for a peaceful getaway. The cabin was the most perfect cosy space with a lovely warm fire and beautiful views. It made the perfect space to relax with a few drinks, fire and games. I loved the uniqueness of the cabin and how private it felt. There are other cabins all with their own individual characters, but never do you feel overlooked by another cabin. We ventured off some some local walks and forest walks nearby. A very beautiful location to explore!
30/09/2021Cathy
We loved this place, it has so much charm and the surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. Couldn't have asked for a better retreat away!
16/09/2021Kimberly
A gorgeous little rustic glamping cabin, surrounded by hills and nature. They've made such a tiny space incredibly homely and functional!
10/09/2021Sarah
Wonderful place to visit and have a quiet break. The cabin was brilliant and well furnished, and the small woodland valley it sits in is beautiful. Fire pit was good and saw lots of use. Plenty of things to do near by and a short drive away. The owners are super friendly and helpful.
30/08/2021Dan
Beautiful and tranquil location, perfectly positioned for both coastal activities and valley walks. The accommodation was wonderful, all basics taken care of and stunning views over the valley.
09/07/2021Charlie
It was great, we had a very relaxing time at Caban Crwn.
28/05/2021Fanni
Just incredible, one of the nicest places I've stayed at in the UK
18/05/2021Amber
My stay was perfect. Exactly what I needed. The caban was cute, remote, the sound of the stream, the birds (managed to up my bird spotting ID) I felt at peace. The small deck outside was perfect to lie in the sun. The windows in the caban on both sides allowed for a beautiful view and added to the feeling of being at one with nature. Very convenient location: mountain and sea. I did a sunrise Cadair Idris climb and went to check the coast ag Ynyslas. The utilities in the cabin were perfect (pleasant surprise to have such hot water and good water pressure!!).
28/04/2021Chloe
Very peaceful, very clean and had everything we needed.
28/08/2020Zoe
The cabin was absolutely beautiful and it was perfectly located to explore southern Snowdonia. Despite the weather we loved the feeling of being right in the outdoors.
21/08/2020Joe
Wanted to get off the grid and get back to basics, from the start we fell in love with the cuteness of the caban all amenities were taken care of although basic form once warmed up caban was so cosy and was a great choice to totally relax and chill. Surrounded by great scenery just added to the whole experience.
17/01/2020Kevin
This caban was perfect. A really lovely place to escape to for peace and quiet. Cosy living, time to chill and perfect surroundings to explore. Everything was provided, we cooked, cycled toasted marshmallows and enjoyed the stillness. Would definitely recommend and return.
23/12/2019Erin
Brilliant location. Well equipped , clean and unique Caban. Helpful owners. Loads of really useful information provided. We rented 3 Cabans and the tree house for the weekend to celebrate my son's 30th birthday. We all loved our stay ❤
29/11/2019Samdra
It was a beautiful cabin situated in a peaceful valley. We lovely the cabin and thought the simple procedure or just arriving and the key being here was perfect, no hassle at all.
01/11/2019Victoria
Great weekend in a great little cabin. The views where amazing, the bed was comfy and once the burner was lit it was toasty warm. The flushing loo was an added bonus as we where expecting a composting one although there was an issue with it not refilling after being flushed so mentioned this on our way out and on our return later that day...all fixed.
04/10/2019Nicola
Lovely quiet cabin to celebrate 15 years of marriage. Had most of what you need to stay in comfort...found not having a fridge a bit hard and anyone above average in height or body size would find the bathroom facilities a major squeeze! Log burner kept the cabin very warm and the placement of the cabin was perfect to enjoy unspoilt views and hear the stream. Cabin well suited to do the biking trails in dyfi forest and coedy brenin, plus bird watching possibilities were vast.
26/08/2019Emily
The stay was amazing, caban crwn was cosy, quaint and very peaceful. Although the weather was wet and very windy, (50mph), it didn’t spoil anything. We had the log burner lit, with a glass of wine looking out the picture window onto an unspoilt field and mountains. The mezzanine bed was comfy and we had the best sleep ever, getting rocked to sleep with the wind, I did think we were going to blow away but, the caban was solid. When we did have a dry spell, we managed to sit on the decking and watch the red kites fly around and even had one land about 30 feet away from us. I can highly recommend the caban
09/08/2019Dawn
truly blissful stay in the Welsh Countryside
20/07/2019paula
Staying in Caban Crwn was lovely. Arrival was so easy and simple, we had plenty in the cabin, logs, matches, teabags, sugar etc. Shower and hot water taps were brilliant, I thought they may have taken a while to warm up but no. The cabin was so cosy and homely, we felt like we had been before, which also meant we didn’t want to leave our little home.
27/05/2019Sara
Was suggested this by a friend and very glad I took her suggestion. The cabin was well made, surprisingly warm and dry and pretty well stocked. Full flushing loo, gas hob and running water. The hosts Dafydd and Ceri were also very helpful and provided us with some great local sights and activities that we likely wouldn't have found on our own. The location was just nothing short of outstanding in terms of natural beauty and we will definitely be looking to stay again to explore some of the hiking and MTB trails on offer.
07/05/2019Matt
Had a lovely time. No complaints.

Absolutely spot on, perfect weekend getaway from reality and looks are deceiving as this little cabin was far from cramped for me and my partner. loved every minute of it!

A beautiful stay with glorious weather. Caban Crwn was cute and perfect for what we needed. Spent the evenings by the fire and the days walking in the welsh mountains. Will be booking again for later in the year.
29/03/2019Gemma
I had a fantastic stay at the cabin! Beautiful location, very cosy cabin with enough comforts to feel luxurious whilst still feeling very much in touch with nature! Would definitely recommend and I will almost certainly return.
25/03/2019David
Our stay here was amazing! Great location right in the middle of great scenery - this was bought as a Christmas present so perfect to beat the January blues! The cabin heated up nice and quickly and remained cosy, enough space to cook eat and relax too after a nice days walk in the national park. We even had a black and white feline visistor on the last day who was super chatty and friendly :) Thank you very much and we’ll definitaly be back!
11/01/2019sarah-louise
Overall we had a great time! It was our 4th wedding anniversary and we wanted to get away from the city for a weekend. We spent most of our time exploring Snowdonia National park and enjoying slow mornings in the cabin.
23/11/2018Kali
Perfect little retreat for me and my trusted sidekick Georgie Dog. A truly unique place to stay, away from the hustle & bustle but close enough to get to the local towns & seside
18/10/2018Hannah
Beautiful space and place to stay in for a long weekend. Was cosy despite storm Callum and perfect for two.
12/10/2018Harriet
Beautiful, peaceful, perfect - just what we wanted!
03/10/2018Seren
We loved our stay in Caban Crwn. It was an adorable little hut, so cleverly designed, and surrounded by so much to do. We enjoyed going for long hikes through the Welsh countryside before spending and evening drinking wine infront of the log burner.
29/07/2018Ruth
We had a really lovely, peaceful and relaxing time. The setting is stunning and the cabin, so cute.
21/06/2018Jacqueline
We had a lovely stay at this quirky cabin which is located in a beautiful rural area with stunning views. It was a very private and peaceful setting with lots of fields and woods around us, which we enjoyed exploring. The cabin felt really cosy and the wood burner warmed us up nicely on cooler mornings and evenings!
13/06/2018Bianca
It was a brilliant place. Loved every minute and so did monty my Labrador. Its in a great spot in the middle of nowhere but not to far from all sorts of activities. Couldn't recommend it more highly.
11/05/2018Paul
A glorious location, it was amazing to be able to listen to the baa-ing of the sheep, the tinkling of the stream and the singing birds from our own deck.
20/04/2018Catherine
My daughters, aged 6 and 4, and I stayed for 2 nights as an extra part of our Easter holidays. We thoroughly enjoyed stayed in Caban Cwrn. Both girls were very excited about the bed up the ladder. They have bunk beds at home, but Caban Cwrn's bed was even better and much more exciting. The caban was lovely. The stove kept us nice and warm, which was an added bonus during a damp stay. Views were lovely. Nice peaceful location. Many thanks!
11/04/2018Samantha
The cabin was clean and welcoming as soon as we drove up the track. The log burner had a log in it ready for us to light it up as it was a little cold. The views looking out from our decking are undescribable and have to be experienced for yourselves, this is including the views from the walks which are literally on your doorstep. The only improvement I would add is the track leading up to the cabin is a little difficult to navigate if your in a little car such as my mini, so taking your time and having to navigate a few pot holes was key but apart from that we couldn't fault our stay or experience and would stay again!
28/03/2018Hope
Had a wonderful stay here. The cabin was adorable and so cosy in the cold weather. It had everything we needed to be comfortable with plenty of attention to detail. I’d definitely book again.
22/02/2018Beckie
Incredible getaway in the most beautiful surroundings with character and comfort - would highly recommend Caban Crwn to anyone! Especially over Valentine’s Day
14/02/2018John
It was wonderful! The place is so cosy and we loved the running and hiking routes that we could access right from our cabin! I would highly recommend staying here and would come again!
08/02/2018Kalin
Idyllic retreat, so peaceful and the owners were very attentive. The location is fantastic...took a drive up to snowdonia national park and found a fabulous little pub on the way back. The caban was perfect, really cosy! Will definitely stay again.
12/01/2018Victoria
Relaxing little cabin with an amazing use of space. We were there during a storm so didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors however stayed warm and dry playing games by the fire!
20/10/2017Emma
We had a amazing 4 day break in caban crwn exploring the mountains and amazing mountain biking trails by day and spent cosy nights by the fire listening to the radio and playing cards. The caban had everything we needed set in a beautiful location by a stream and hardly any light pollution which enabled us to see the lovely night sky in all its glory
12/10/2017Lorna
Great short break away from the Daily routine. Quirky little cabin in a great location
24/09/2017Jamie
Very peaceful and quiet, great to escape the rat run. Local area beautiful. A hidden gem!
25/08/2017Gemma
Excellent little cabin. The owners left us to it, so it was like our own place. Left the key in the door and we just let ourselves in. Same thing when we left. The cabin was in a great location, close the several beaches and not a long drive to Snowdonia. The cabin had a great shower and a 4 ring gas hob. There was also a wood burner which heated the cabin up really well. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
06/08/2017Mark
We had a terrific 6 day stay!! The cabin was lovely, plenty of space for the three of us and very comfortable. Amazing views over fields to the hills beyond. We were able to take advantage of the firepit, relaxed and cooked outside most evenings. We tried the trails around the farm - spectacular. The owners are very helpful if you should need anything. The cabin is near to a town with interesting shops and art gallery. Not far either to the steam railway, nature reserve and only a 12 mile drive to a sandy beach at Aberdovey. The drive there along the estuary, is simply wonderful. We would love to come back again. Thank you for having us. 5 stars :)
30/07/2017Amanda
It was amazing, lovely little hut, with beautiful views and peaceful!
11/07/2017Ehren
We stayed at cabin Crwn from the 27-30th of June and we had such a fantastic stay. We really couldn't fault it, the cabin was beautiful in a lovely secluded spot with everything we needed inside for a relaxing and quiet trip. We took our dog with us and she had the best time, and slept the whole day when we got back! The farm is stunning and a we would recommend the trek around it the views of the lake and surrounding area is beautiful- although we got a little lost and went off route, muddling through the sheep, but that was part of the fun. Our pup was as scared of them as they were her! The nearest town, Machynlleth, was great, with a handful of pubs, restaurants and charming independent shops, we ate at the White Lion and it was great value for money. It was pretty easy to get to considering we don't drive, a short taxi ride from the train station which cost £10. The weather was pretty good, only a few light showers and we lit the wood burner on the evening to dry off and it was super cosy. Really couldn't recommend it enough the perfect escape!
27/06/2017Katie
Wish we could have stayed longer. I loved the peaceful atmosphere of the location. There are other cabins on site but they are a respectable space away from each other so there's no overcrowding. Lovely walks around the area and great views of the hillside for us and the dog. Fire pit outside was great for toasting marshmallows and keeping cosy. The wood burner fire was great too, created a great woodland ambience. Cabin itself was cute and perfect for what we needed.
23/06/2017Francesca
Perfect little hideaway in the Welsh Mountains. Loved everything the Caban had to offer, tranquil surroundings, walks and bike trails on the doorstep and a fire-pit to come home and chill out to.
28/04/2017Debbie
Our stay at Caban Crwn was lovely - easy to get to and a very well presented little cabin in a beautiful location which of course helped. The walking was perfect and meant our dog had lots of room to roam. The Cabin had nearly everything we needed for our short break (the odd thing that we thought we could have done with weren't essential but would have just made things like cooking slightly easier). It was clean and well looked after so we had a lovely stay! It was just a shame we couldn't stay a little longer! We were comfortable and cosy and luckily enough had the place to ourselves so it really was a break away from everything - just what we wanted!
24/04/2017Hannah
We had a wonderful two night stay in the round cabin. My children, aged 5 and 6 years loved exploring the fields, stream and woodland areas and I struggled to get them off the rope swing!! We fried pigs in blankets on the camp fire outside, over looking the mountains and toasted mega marshmallows before retreating into the cosy cabin to have hot chocolate and snuggles in front of the log burner whilst playing card games. Once I could get the children away from the cabin and surrounding fields we had lots of fun at the near by beaches, pony trekking, visiting the Osprey Centre to do some pond dipping and finally a visiting King Authurs labyrinth....there was so much for us to do locally as a family that we will need to make a repeat visit!! The owner and his sister were very friendly and advised us of places to go and things to do and we had a most memorable stay....in a very unique place...wonderful!!
10/04/2017Bronya
We had the best stay at Caban Crwn, a beyond beautiful place with gorgeous views. The sound of the stream to wake up to was very relaxing. The cabin itself was cosy and homely, the owners were lovely people and our check in and check out was easy and it was an easy and short drive to tourist locations. We will definitely be visiting again, 10/10 from us. The only change we would make would be to have curtains on the main window and glass door, but apart from that we couldn't fault our stay. Thank you!
26/03/2017Hannah
We had a fantastic stay arriving to lovely sunshine coming through the valley. We got the campfire going to keep us warm and enjoyed the amazing views from our deck . We went for lovely walks and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the birds singing and the stream running past the cabin. Perfect setting and lovely cabin!
15/03/2017Tina
I booked the stay at Caban Crwn to relax and spend some quality time with my close friend! It was brilliant! Feel fully refreshed and am hoping to have another Canopy and Stars holiday.
22/02/2017Nancy
The location was perfect, Caban really cosy and clean, hosts helpful and generous.
16/12/2016Hayley
We had an amazing time away from it all in such a cute cabin in he middle of such a beautiful place
09/12/2016Emma
Lovely stay, love that I was left on my own, no interuptions, quiet stay, loved it, had everything I needed. Lots of places, walks to go in a short driving range. Will be back.
06/12/2016Kestutis
We stated in the cabin in November. I was a bit worried about staying warm but the log burner was amazing. Just what we needed in terms of towels and cutlery. The location is spectacular and there is lots to do nearby.
06/11/2016Graham
This was our first stay at a canopy and stars location AND our first holiday away with our newborn baby. We had a wonderfully peaceful and relaxed stay. The cabin had everything that we needed and we loved the quirky decor. I liked that we were 'left to it' and didn't actually meet the owners.
02/11/2016Claire
Caban Crwn was an amazing place to stay. So quirky and unique. We enjoyed every minute we were there. We will definitely be returning.
01/10/2016Sarah
It was amazing. The cabin and location was gorgeous. Wish we had booked to stay longer. Can't wait to go there again!
09/09/2016Sarah
It was fabulous! The whole experience was amazing. The owners were friendly. The cabin was spotless and very comfortable. I enjoyed so much that I wish I had booked an extra night! The views around us were amazing and I was totally relaxed in the peace and tranquility. I would definitely book again.
30/08/2016Angela
What an amazing place! We stayed in Caban Crwn with our dog Milo for two nights and wish we could of stayed for ever. The cabin had everything we needed and more. Such a peaceful setting with the most beautiful views and just the sound of the stream and the sheep in the background. Lovely walks from the doorstep, stunning scenery and campfires in the evening overlooking the hills. We loved everything about it and will definitely be back! It was our first Canopy and Stars break and such a great find thank you.
13/07/2016Peter
Beautiful cabin in a wonderful, peaceful place. So much work had gone into the design, and it had everything we needed for a break away. Thank you!
24/06/2016Meg
I chose Caban Crwn for a 3 night break with my best friend. We both have stressful jobs and it was the perfect place to just kick back and enjoy the solitude and natural beauty. I still woke up at 6am as if I was going to work, but sat out on the decking with a cuppa listening to the cuckoo, woodpeckers and buzzards for ages. This a great place for anyone needing to de-stress. I can imagine it being a great place for a romantic break too or for a couple with a young child. There's plenty to do in the surrounding area, but to be honest we were more than happy just staying put.
05/06/2016Joanna
We had a really enjoyable stay, the place was lovely and perfect for a dew chilled out days away.
30/05/2016louise
We had an awesome stay, the cabin was so cosy. It was an ideal place to explore from, we loved how quiet it was and would definitely love to stay again.
25/05/2016Ashley
Caban Crwn was a total delight. The Cabin was perfectly situated clean and surprisingly spacious. It was out of the way and the perfect peaceful retreat. I cannot tell you how many times me and my friends said the word WOW. It really felt like we had won the game of life the days that we were there. Everything was just so green and glorious. The cabin itself was fantastic it let you feel like you were sitting in nature even when you were inside. I cannot recommend the place enough.
22/05/2016Neil
Another fabulous find . My second canopy and stars adventure. Wonderful warm Caban with log burner.amazing views and the lambing season . So lots of bleating and frolicking lambs and daffodils. A rill nearby which you could hear at night and the most awesome skies with shooting stars and no light pollution insight. Cosy, quirky , quaint , heaven
01/04/2016Anna
It was awesome and a different kind of experience. I was lucky to have 2 sunny days and enjoyed it the most. The hiking to the near by farms are awesome. The beach drive to Abberdify as suggested by Dafydd was the highlight.
26/02/2016Rakesh
The booking was a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday. The information we received was excellent, including details of things to do in the local area. The cabin is beautiful, perfectly situated and so cosy. We even managed to light a camp fire once we'd dried some firewood out. Magical, romantic and beautifully crafted.
12/02/2016Rebecca
Great location. Set in rolling hills of Powys. Standing 6ft7 I fit in the bed well and moved round easily enough. The wood burner was a diamond and mini kitchen worked well. All the basics needed for a mini adventure. I wouldn't hesitate booking again
09/12/2015tom
Great! Loved the place. Fantastic view, everything worked including directions.
22/10/2015Carl
We had a lovely 2 days. The only people there. Beautiful autumnal colours and warm sunshine, just glorious. Very quiet and chilled. Lovely walk around the hills.
12/10/2015Angie
We had a fab time here, the weather was great and we loved the quirky nature of the place.
09/10/2015Nicola
It was lovely and relaxing and we hope to go back
19/09/2015Marie
Cosy and comfortable, perfect base for exploring a really special region of wales & Snowdonia National Park. Lovely welcome and everything you could need in the cabin, very clean and beautifully decorated, real mattresses and hot and cold running water in the cabin as well as an indoor compost loo made for a luxurious stay! We wished we had booked for longer, there were fabulous cycle/walking routes round the farm and the town of Mach with all its small independent shops and antiques etc would have been a day out in itself. We cycled and also went zipwiring with our 8 year old son, who absolutely adored it, should note that we would have liked to do Bounce Below as well, but you have to book for both well in advance. We also went to CAT, had a lovely lunch and wander around. Hope we will be back again next year to enjoy some of the places we ran out of time for this time - Snowdonia train, and Dolgellau cycle paths, some castles and Antur Stiniog down hill mountain biking - really glad we have found you!
04/09/2015Tracey
This was an amazing short break. I will be visitin again and I highly recommend this to anyone looking to go.
25/08/2015Anna
It was our first cabin holiday together was a perfect location and cabin we both loved every minute chilling on the veranda with a cool beer and having a cosy night in with the most amazing views. We had a walk around the farm and went to bounce below at the slate mines. Sitting on the terrace having breakfast with the sun shining and the owners dog joined us too ;)
03/07/2015Paul
We went for 2 nights to Caban Crwn with our 11 month Golden Retriever. We really enjoyed the Caban and the surrounding area and as the site was empty we had plenty of space to enjoy. The weather was too warm for the log burner but we did cook a good curry on the stove on the first night.
01/07/2015Jenny
Incredible location and accommodation, exactly what we wanted and didn't disappoint in any way. Chilled out evening BBQs by the stream, coffe on the decking every morning with a simply stunning view. Perfect.
10/06/2015Chris
Really enjoyed our stay, beautiful area. Everything we needed was there .Lovely log burner so cosy in the evenings .
26/05/2015Kathy
We spend two night in Caban Crwn, the place is gorgeous, the cabin is lovely and we loved our stay!
07/04/2015Andreia
Very enjoyable weekend with trips to Snowdonia National Park and the beach:-) Though the parts I enjoyed the most were just relaxing with my girlfriend and our dog in front of the fire after a days trekking.
28/02/2015Juan
Just what we wanted. Caban Crwn is a fantastic place to stay to get away from it all. The Caban is set in a beautiful area and is arranged to make the most of the incredible views. We also really enjoyed the 5K walk recommended by the owners around the hills above the Caban (they provided a map and its not too strenuous a climb) . The Caban itself was comfortable and cosy especially with the log burner running! All in all a great place to stay for the weekend and would happily stay there again.
06/02/2015Paul
"We really enjoyed our stay - the setting is spectacular, sitting on the deck in the evening you feel like the only two people in the world. The cabin is beautifully designed and really comfortable - sitting in front of the wood burner in the evening was wonderful and we even managed to get the fire pit going on our last night despite a bit of wind and rain! Beautiful area to explore as well - whether you're walking or taking a short drive. We had our pug with us and he thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to explore the Welsh countryside as well!"

We had a great time at Caban Crwn, it was an amazing location with incredible views and the sun even shone for us. Easy check in and parking, within short driving distance of town. Beautiful walk around the farm with brilliant views.

20/10/2023Eve
Wonderful stay. I went for a solo retreat and it was just perfect. Beautiful setting surrounding by trees and the sun setting right in front of you every evening. The cabin is lovely and cosy. You can look out at the stars from your bed through the little porthole style window above your head. Firepit outside and a great wood burner inside. No hassle checking in. A lot of freedom and respect given by the owner.
12/10/2023Ian
22/09/2023Eden

It was a beautiful cabin situated in a peaceful valley. We lovely the cabin and thought the simple procedure or just arriving and the key being here was perfect, no hassle at all.

I can highly recommend the caban

truly blissful stay in the Welsh Countryside

Staying in Caban Crwn was lovely. Arrival was so easy and simple, we had plenty in the cabin, logs, matches, teabags, sugar etc. Shower and hot water taps were brilliant, I thought they may have taken a while to warm up but no. The cabin was so cosy and homely, we felt like we had been before, which also meant we didn’t want to leave our little home.

It was fabulous! The whole experience was amazing. The owners were friendly. The cabin was spotless and very comfortable. I enjoyed so much that I wish I had booked an extra night! The views around us were amazing and I was totally relaxed in the peace and tranquility. I would definitely book again.
