Overview
At Goldings Cabin, you can laze out on the deck, wander over to your firepit or take a brewery tour and discover the superb range of artisan ales brewed a few hundred yards from your cabin. Whenever you visit, the area is full of potential, and you’ll very likely see other guests coming or going from adventures, with Tintern Abbey round the corner and lovely canoeing on the Wye.
Inside, there’s a cosy sofa by the electric fire, hobs for cooking up simple meals and a fridge for keeping your beer cold. Outside there’s a firepit so you can sit out and enjoy the wildlife, but there are plug sockets and electric heating, so you’ll never lack for creature comforts.
As part of a constantly evolving site, you’ll spot the greenhouses on the way in, still being fashioned for purpose. Keen to leave the area to rewild, owners Ed and Tori are busy running the brewery, and home schooling six kids respectively – so if nowhere to be found, send them a text with any queries. All in all, it’s an incredibly relaxing place, which is mostly because of having your own bit of countryside for a few days of peace, but might just have something to do with all the beer.

It was a lovely weekend and the cabin was warm and cosy. The outside space was lovely and the hot tub was incredible.
04/05/2024Megan
easy, smooth and beautiful. Would not hesitate to spend a whole week there in the future.
21/04/2024jonah
Beautiful cabin! Basic but that’s exactly what we were looking for and has all essentials required. Although fairly basic the decor is very stylish which gives it a really cosy feel
11/12/2023Beth
We had a lovely time, stayed for 2 nights to get away for my partners birthday. The area was really nice, quite quiet but very peaceful and some great pubs to visit. It did rain all weekend but the cabin was so cosy we enjoyed staying in and relaxing for most of it, also enjoyed the firepit and the hot tub. Had some really good food in nearby pubs and enjoyed some scenic walks.
16/09/2023Frankie
Goldings cabin was the perfect stay to get some art work done and a pocket of peace & quiet.
17/08/2023Mari Gwenllin
Goldings cabin was a fantastic place to stay and more than met our expectations. It was cosy with ample space to cook and relax both indoors or outdoors. Tintern is close enough to easily walk to if you want to see the Abbey or visit o e of the lovely pubs. In the evening the cabin is remote enough to be able to see the while night sky. We were lucky enough on our stay to see the end of the Perseid meteor shower. The view in the morning was gorgeous and was a great to enjoy while we had breakfast.
14/08/2023Mark
We had a wonderful few days at Goldings Cabin. A beautiful peaceful place with everything you need.
25/04/2023Liz
A couple of nights stay in the Wye Valley for myself and my wife, who are not people who would normally stay in a cabin! A fantastic position and one that meant we had a relaxing and enjoying break. The cabin is just outside Tintern and has access to the pubs and restaurants in the village although there is access to cooking facilities in the cabin. Walks around the site and in the Wye Valley are simply stunning. The other thing to remember is that the site is also a microbrewery with some excellent ales that can be delivered to the cabin! Check it out! Peaceful and relaxing is the words that come to mind.
05/10/2022Simon
I had an amazing stay, the cabin was so nice inside, felt private, an amazing location.
31/08/2022Hannah
Lovely location - quiet and beautiful spot, but near pubs etc. Ideal! Nice little cabin - very comfortable.
25/08/2022Laura
It was so relaxing. We were in a lovely cabin at the top of a field, surrounded by trees in total privacy. We sat outside to have our meals, with a campfire in the evenings. Listening to birds and watching them and the rabbits. Beautiful and peaceful. Half an hour walk from Tintern,a walk along the river Wye. Really comfortable bed. We had a lovely verandah to sit out on with an amazing view and a lovely big tree to sit in the shade of.
06/07/2022Rachel
Great weather, lovely well equipped and cosy log cabin, perfect location (quiet and secluded, yet close to local attractiions, pubs, walks etc)
14/06/2022Stephen
Wonderful stay in a quirky cabin. We loved the layout of the cabin and all the furniture/decor was very us.Waking up and seeing the sky change over the hills was magical.
11/03/2022Maxine
We had a lovely couple of days at Goldings Cabin. It was very cosy, and had everything we needed.
14/01/2022Hurdeep
We had exactly what ' it says on the tin ' for our stay at Goldings Cabin. Peace, tranquility, amazing views, cosy cabin and wonderful walks nearby. The microbrewery staff were very welcoming and spent time showing us the brew! Ray loved the beer especially and tried them all... The cabin is very cosy with its fire and heated towel rail, the bed extremely comfortable and amazing views to wake up too. We walked every day to Tintern, about half a mile, but you do need torch and walking boots this time of year especially! Local hostelries made us very welcome and various tea shops everywhere. Incredible scenery everywhere The peace and quiet is bliss and to see the stars from the cabin is magical. We loved this place!
31/10/2021Lindsey
We stayed in Goldings Cabin which is at the top of its own private meadow, and has stunning views. Our land for two nights included a firepit with logs and kindling provided. The cabin was very pretty with plentiful kitchen appliances and a small sofa, with the bed tucked into a separate enclosed area.
06/09/2021Sally
The cabin was lovely and the location was great-so peaceful and idyllic.
23/08/2021Catriona
I had booked the Cabin for a birthday. The setting is fab; we enjoyed nothing more than relaxing with the doors open, taking in the valley and our own meadow, in both sun and rain! The immediate area is brilliant walking country, without having to move the car. Bliss! The Devil's Pulpit and the Eagles Nest being particularly stunning viewpoints. A coffee stop at the "Old Station" a must too. We also visited Clearwell Caves in the wet and were surprised how good they were, compared to the more famous Cheddar Gorge and Caves. We ate at The Anchor, walking to it via the footpaths over the river, we also did a special trip to The Whitebook. Which was something else! (I did have to book it several months in advance but so worth it!). We also stayed in and I cooked something up on the Cabins stoves, lighting the fire, with the set of kindling we were provided with; toasting marshmallows was a treat. On our way to Tintern we zip wired at the national diving centre, which was great fun and walked up the river from Chepstow Castle; great views again! Ed and Tori sorted out the beer I had ordered for my partners birthday and were very welcoming whilst leaving us be. Many thanks!
19/08/2021Heather
Our holiday was absolutely lovely. The instructions to find the cabin were great and the self check in made things very easy. The cabin was so lovely and cosy but had everything we needed for a few nights stay. We were surrounded by nature and it was lovely and private and peaceful. There were lots of lovely walking or hiking spots nearby which meant we didn’t really have to drive much on our holiday. The local village of Tintern was within walking distance so we could pop out for a meal and drinks without having to worry about driving or getting a taxi. It was a lovely relaxing holiday and the perfect place to switch off from reality for a bit and step away from your phone.
12/07/2021Kate
Had the best weekend, was lovely and secluded, the cabin was perfect.
09/07/2021Charlotte
We've just returned from an amazing, relaxing few days at Golding's Cabin. It's secluded enough to feel peaceful and remote, being situated within it's own private section of meadow, but with lots to do nearby. We didn't need to jump back in the car for the entirety of our stay. There are plenty of lovely walks and pubs on the doorstep, with a vineyard up the road as well, what more can you ask for! The cabin was super comfortable with everything we needed and a couple of complimentary bottles of ale from the Brewery which was very welcome after the long drive, they were delicious!
13/06/2021Vikki
Great location with plenty to do in the area. Our cabin was small and cute, set within its own little field. We did have a bees nest on the outside wall cavity of the cabin which meant you could heat buzzing. Luckily they did not get inside. We informed the manager who apologised and is taking care with moving the bees.
31/05/2021Amy
We had a lovely time at Goldings Cabin, lovely to swith off for a couple of days and relax. Lots of great scenery and surrondings to explore, lots of walking and made the most of our stay despite the weather. Goldings was great and it was lovely to sit in the sun and listen to the birds while relaxing with a drink.
23/05/2021Benjamin
We had a great time. We felt rural and loved our cabin which felt very clean. It was just about the right size for two nights. We loved some of the luxuries in the cabin such as the sofa, fire pit and field and the amazing views. It was amazing to hear the constant birdsong during the day. Whilst the weather wasn’t amazing we were still able to explore the local area and scenery.
15/05/2021Nik
Me and my partner had the most lovely stay at Golding's Cabin. The hosts were absolutely love and so accommodating, making sure that some ale I'd ordered from their brewery was waiting in the cabin for us. Beautiful cabin, wanted to stay and live there forever. Excellent location as well for some gorgeous walks and wanders. Can't wait to visit again.
18/12/2020Emily
Fantastic location, lovely village and surrounding area. Cabin was lovely, very pretty inside and out.
26/08/2020Kate
We had a wonderful stay at Goldings, the newest space in The Hop Garden - Ed was a fantastic host and gave us a great tour of the grounds. We enjoyed beers on the veranda followed by a comfortable night’s sleep in the quirky cabin. It’s a very peaceful spot too – a much needed getaway out of the city.

We wanted to get away for a restful weekend and I couldn’t have picked a better place. The Cabin was private and serene. The log fired hot tub was great fun as was cooking over the fire pit. Pity the brewery was closed during our stay but 2 bottles of beer from the shop made up for that. All in all a brilliant stay

Great location with plenty to do in the area. Our cabin was small and cute, set within its own little field. We did have a bees nest on the outside wall cavity of the cabin which meant you could heat buzzing. Luckily they did not get inside. We informed the manager who apologised and is taking care with moving the bees.
