Overview
Arcadia’s hewn from the very trees it’s hidden away in at Westley farm. There are reclaimed Moroccan windows made from stained glass to colour the morning light, reclaimed oxblood chesterfields to relax on, or English sheepskins to snuggle into on the Adirondack chairs by the firebowl.
This is the ideal spot to disappear into the wild for a few days, and forest bathe to your heart’s content. Relaxation is the name of the game here, so kick back and enjoy something from the BBQ on the table and chairs made from an antique Johnny Walker barrel. If the weather’s not playing ball, the wood-burning stove doubles as a hot plate and oven, and there’s also an induction hob in the kitchen area, and antique butcher's block to help you rustle up something special.
If you feel like adventure, you’ve the entirety of the Cotswolds surrounding you, it could be a short walk to the terrace of The Crown Inn, or a longer drive to the Cotswold Water Park. Or you could just talk about doing it from the hot tub, watch the steam float skyward along with your troubles, and consider it again tomorrow. At around 80m from the nearest other glamping space, you’ve this corner all to yourselves, and the woods all around you make it feel like its own little world.

Meet your hosts
Meet Ali & Dan
Ali and Dan bought Westley Farm in 2017, having spent years searching for the most beautiful place to live with their family while being close to nature and far away from just about everything else. The previous owners set up the 16-foot Sapperton Yurt and after a break of a couple of years Ali and Dan have decided to bring the site back to life, infusing it with their own sense of style and adventure.
In 2018, they added Gold Rush Cabin to Westley Farm, inspired by their time living in the American West and stories of the crazyhearts and dreamers who sped west in search of gold. The result is a little piece of Americana in the heart of the Cotswolds.
In 2019, they added another space, the Zen Den to Westley Farm, a unique cedar cabin in the woods. A year later, they added Yurt Reynolds, a gorgeous yurt with a cool camp kitchen and a canvas bathhouse.
In 2023, they added the Arcadia to Westley Farm, a stunning cabin tucked away in the woods with a beautiful handmade swing seat for guests to enjoy.
Wildlife & Environment
The woods at Westly Farm are teeming with wildlife and part of the charm of staying is simply walking around the fields and forest. 80 acres of nature on the farm (which is available for guests to explore) is under Natural England Higher Stewardship scheme, so maintained in low impact, species friendly manner.
Everyone there is doing their best to encourage rare butterfly breeds here with the help of Natural England. Though not overly impressive to look at, its success here is important as it only breeds on one other site in Gloucestershire, which happens to be nearby. As part of their Higher Level Stewardship, they commissioned a professional survey of their flora and fauna and discovered, among other things, that they have dormice in the woods. Rabbits are everywhere and the scrub is a refuge for many small mammals, beetles and plenty of nectar for bees and butterflies. You are bound to see deer, buzzards, hawks and bats, and hear the hoot of owls and the bark of foxes. In summer, orchids thrive in the wildflower meadow.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a blissful couple of days at Arcadia. It was a perfect set up, being private and secluded enough but also close enough to explore other places. The cabin was exactly what we needed, with basic cooking equipment, log burner, nice hot shower and a brilliant set up for relaxing and reading. The hot tub was also an absolute winner!

I had an amazing time. Decided to come here with my partner for my birthday as I wanted to get away. It was perfect as we felt so secluded from the rest of the world in the woods. The facilities were amazing and all the information and help from the hosts were great. The pictures didn't do the place justice as it is even more beautiful in real life. Was very happy and would definitely stay here again!

3 nights in this idyllic location was great. The well chosen details made a big impact and gave a feeling of getting value for money. Although it was a rainy weekend we used most of the facilities, hot tub, fire pit, outdoor spaces, etc. The indoors was very comfortable.

Arcadia is the perfect place to escape from everyday life. The minute you leave your car and walk down to the cabin through the rolling fields, saying hello to the lambs on the way, you feel like you're far away from everything. The walk through the gates and up to the space is magical, taking in the cabin surrounded by blossom and trees felt like something out of a fairy tale. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub whilst watching the sun go down, listening to the birds and trying to spot the animals that we could hear rustling in the trees. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone that wants to have a relaxing, nature filled break.

Amazing stay, definitely the best accommodation we've ever stayed in. You could tell that a lot of love went into the cabin and every little detail was so well thought out! It was all like going back in time and living very simply, but also very comfortably. Once the fire was going, it was so nice and cosy and all the handmade furniture and finishing touches just made it all come together beautifully. Even in a wet December, we were still able to sit outside thanks to the outdoor blankets and cushions etc. which was a really nice bonus!
