This year, we have seen a big increase in bookings for occasions, with over 50% of our bookings now attributed to occasions. In 2018, 13% of bookings were made to celebrate an anniversary, 28% birthday and 4% honeymoons so the demand for a wilder place to celebrate that special occasion is on the up.

When looking for a place to stay for an occasion, guests are often searching for little extras that will make their experience go the extra mile. For example, spaces with hot-tubs or outdoor baths, or if they offer spa-packages. Think whether you could be pushing anything for the occasion market; can you offer wood-working courses, yoga classes or in-house massages?
