Overview
Right at the edge of one of France’s regional National Parks, Cabanon Perché is hidden away on 50 acres of the Château de Memanat Estate. This place is a world of its own, with lots of nooks and crannies to explore – wild fields with little manicured paths, endless treelines leading to woodland.
Your treehouse is in its own field, surrounded by little trees, where the hammock hangs, and underneath the treehouse – swinging chairs for lazy afternoons. Once you get up the stairs, you’ll find the deck – complete with a breakfast basket pulley, a spot for coffee and a table for al fresco dinners, deck chairs for kicking back and of course, a hot tub for decadent nights in.
Inside, you’ll find all the details taken care of. French doors leading to the deck, a king-sized bed, and two bunks for the kids. On the other side, two chairs for a spot to perch, and a table in one corner for dining in wet weather. Your bathroom is particularly luscious, with dual sinks, an indoor toilet, and a large shower with a seat to sit back and start the day easy! The kitchen should have all you’ll need for a stay, and there are places to grab a bite nearby, or explore for days out – but on such a beautiful site – you’ll find it hard to leave!

Meet Natalie & Andrew
Château de Memanat is a dream come true for Natalie and Andrew, having left England to create a new home in France, surrounded by idyllic countryside, an abundance of wildlife and fresh air. Happening on La Creuse, which fulfilled all their criteria; woodland, water, fields and the manor as well as being a great place to raise their family, they quickly made the leap and haven't looked back. Natalie's background in interiors and Andy's skills in joinery made the perfect recipe to fulfil their ambitious plans for life abroad and to share this with guests.
Wildlife & Environment
Château de Memanat is set within 50 acres of ancient woodland, parkland and fields bounded by the Thaurion river where you can catch crayfish in the summertime and wild swim. Lots of wildlife to see including deer, boar, badgers, birds of prey, owls and bees. The owner's friend put bee boxes in the trees to help with bee conservation along with wildflower meadows to encourage insects and wildlife.
La Creuse is in the centre of France and has some of the cleanest air in Europe, with miles of unspoilt countryside where you can walk, cycle and go wild swimming with more chance of spotting a deer than encountering another person!
