Overview
Overlooking the canal, Justin is on an elevated slope, with views that stretch far over the fields beyond and the Vale of Belvoir. Tucked into his own little space, with a wraparound hedgerow, and nothing overlooking – Justin is perfect for creating your own little world for a few days.
Inside, it’s a medley of cool mustard, slate and reclaimed wood, and those soothing tones will lull you to sleep as easily as the king size bed . This is also where you’ll find the small kitchen – complete with a two-ring induction hob, microwave, fridge and hob kettle, should the weather keep you indoors. And your indoor bathroom, where you can grab a shower to start or finish the day’s adventures.
If you’re feeling like living a little wilder, or in the mood for sunshine, cook outdoors with the outdoor oven, which can make pizza – or use it as a BBQ for something smokier. Once fed, it’s all about blowing off steam – which you may literally do in the stunning green hot tub outside, either opting to watch the sunset views, or of course, stargazing under the night sky. Best of all, if you’re worried about leaving the dog behind, this space is dog friendly.

Beautiful setting looking over the English countryside. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. The huts are very well equipped and finished to a high standard. We absolutely loved a dash of outdoor living with making our own fires for the pizza oven and outdoor bath! Sarah is a very responsive and thoughtful host and was on hand to help us throughout the stay.

Beautiful Shepherd's hut in an idyllic setting. The wood fire dutch tub was relaxing and fun at the same time. Luxury furnishings made the hut cosy and stylish. Sarah the host was lovely and thoughtful. Available but not intrusive. The local pub was welcoming. We enjoyed our visit with our dog who was made very welcome with his own towel and treats provided. The hamper Sarah made up for us on request was all local produce to a very high standard the pastries where delicious. Would highly recommend . A wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay here. Beautiful, spacious cabin with all you require. We really enjoyed the hot tub and pizza oven with beautiful views surrounding. Very much dog friendly! Allow time for the hot tub to heat. It really does take 3 hours but is worth the wait! :) Great advice for the surrounding area. All was fab! We'll look forward to returning.
10/06/2024James
Lovely stay, a really nice cabin with everything you need and lovely hosts.
15/03/2024Hannah
Justin was the perfect choice for a self indulgent hideaway. The hut is bigger then others I have stayed in and very well equipped. Great shower and kitchen facilities -I suggest opening the door if you are frying bacon, the smoke alarm is effective! I loved my stay, and will long treasure the memory of lying in the hot tub, watching the stars come out.
31/01/2024Sarah
I booked this as a surprise for my boyfriend, to say he was dead chuffed is an understatement! We stayed in Justin and the cabin was beautiful, so homely and comforting, particularly with the inside log fire and under floor heating. We used the hot tub which was awesome and had many joyous nights at the local pub, which was barely even five minute walk away... the walk back is perhaps a bit longer after a few though haha! Sarah also went above and beyond for our stay and just made us feel so welcome. She allowed us to feel comfortable to ask for any advice or help from her. We also had our dog with us (great that the hut is dog friendly) and we went on a few beautiful walks with her to the nearby towns, fishing the walk off with a pub dinner. We can't wait to return to Tin & Wood as it gave us the exact kind of peaceful weekend we needed!
19/01/2024Gabriella
Sarah was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and Justin was exactly what we needed for a countryside escape. The hut is so cosy and never gets cold with the underfloor heating, the log burner means it gets really toasty, which was perfect as it was -1 outside and frosty. The area is great for walking, and we visited two local pubs (The Windmill Inn for a very tasty Sunday roast and The Anchor for Sunday night pints and darts). We visited Melton Morbray where we bought some local jam and fudge at the market, and had some freshly made soup from a sweet Italian restaurant in the centre. I’d recommend visiting on the weekend and definitely drive if you can as it will make getting there and visiting local spots much easier. The hot tub is a huge bonus and the cabin is so nice that we would’ve happily stayed there for our 3 nights, but daytime and evening visits to towns and pubs made it even better. Highly recommend Justin if you want a relaxed, wholesome weekend away.
01/12/2023Paolo
A fab second stay at Tin & Wood, this time with my Dog Barkley. Sarah is the perfect host, on hand as much or a little as needed with great tips for all things local and walks. Hut comes with everything you need, even provided a dog teather and a little towel and treats for my dog.
29/11/2023Sophie
We wanted to get away for a couple of days and this was perfect. We arrived and were greeted by the host who was friendly and helpful. We made a pizza on the pizza oven and enjoyed the hot tub on night one. We completed the 11 mile walk the next day which was tough (recommend setting out before lunch!) and went for a pub meal on return. The Windmill at Redmile was amazing! Great food and service. Comfortable nights sleep and beautiful relaxing atmosphere.
11/10/2023Natalie
Had a lovely stay in the Justin hut with our 17 month old golden retriever. It was his first holiday and he absolutely loved it. The hut was very spacious and had everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean and every detail was well thought out. We were welcomed on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. Very happy and will likely return!
18/09/2023Holly
Absolutely cracking. Can't even think of a small detail I would change.
15/09/2023Ben
The lodge was beautiful, clean and well maintained with everything we needed, we would definitely recommend visiting and we would go back again.
23/06/2023Daniel
Perfection. A wonderful experience from start to finish enhanced by beautiful sunshine. Sarah has thought of everything to ensure guests have a quiet, relaxing, luxury time at the huts. The surrounding area is beautiful particularly in Spring as the may is in full flower and the wildflower meadow in front of the huts is picture perfect and full of butterflies. Our hut had everything we needed, is very tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. The ensuite shower and toilet and the underfloor heating are wonderful. We spent each evening in the outside covered area with the log burner ablaze studying the stars and marveling at a barn owl hunting nearby. There is a wealth of birdlife to watch and listen to by day including kestrels, a cuckoo, swifts, ducks, geese and beautiful finches. A walk along the canal path is a must. We did not see the guests in the other huts as the huts have been positioned perfectly to create private areas so we felt like we were the only people there and had the opportunity to completely relax, unwind and chill out. Pizza making in the pizza oven is great fun and the results were delicious. We can not wait to return. A little bit of heaven.
19/05/2023Sue
The lovely owner Sarah met us when we arrived and is always on hand if you need anything. Our dog friendly hut Justin was perfect, spotlessly clean, gorgeous comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen area, lovely shower with good water pressure. Loved the little tags scattered around the hut giving you information & also a little tablet on the table with ideas of things to do and further info should you need it. Outside area is fantastic with beautiful views and the most amazing oven/burner which kept us lovely and warm through the evening and cooked the most delicious pizza. So peaceful and quiet here with excellent walking along the canal path. We hardly saw anyone walking down passed Redmile. We would return without hesitation.
08/05/2023Jon
What. A. Stay! No words can describe how amazing our stay was at Tin and Wood. The accomodation was comfortable, spacious for an wagon and relaxing, the place was beautiful and the hot tub was incredible. Sarah was just the best host ever- nothing was ever a problem.

24/03/2023Elicia
A really relaxing couple of days in a quiet location with pubs close by and decent dog walks along the canal path. The shepherds hut exceeded our expectations; cute, clean and comfortable!
13/02/2023Claire
The most perfect getaway! Sarah truly thought of absolutely everything. Adorable homely touches including hot chocolate and marshmallows to toast. The accommodation is beautiful, lovely decor and so cosy. The tablet is a great way to show you how to use all the on site equipment and what is happening within the local area. Sarah was truly a wonderful host, would recommend the get away to anyone and hoping to return. We really enjoyed cooking on the pizza stove and heating up the Dutch hot tub! Perfect weekend extremely peaceful area, just what we both needed to relax.
10/02/2023Mollie
My partner and I had the most magical weekend! The hut completely exceeded our expectations and our host Sarah was so lovely and helpful throughout our stay. We had 2 amazing evenings in the hot tube, made pizza in the wood stove oven and didn't see a single sole! Can't recommend this beautiful off-grid yet luxurious experience enough :)
20/01/2023Claire
We had the most wonderfully relaxing time during our stay. Sara left plenty of useful instructions which helped ensure we didn’t run into any problems. The setting is beautiful and quiet, the cabin has been finished to a high spec and contains everything you would need to enjoy your stay. We went on a great walk along the canal and to The Windmill pub close by for dinner. Absolutely couldn’t fault our weekend and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to relax and recharge. Sara is super friendly but leaves you to yourself to enjoy your surroundings. I’m also really grateful to Sara for the personal touch of hanging a birthday banner for my partner’s birthday as the trip was a surprise!
09/12/2022Keira
Our stay was so so lovely! Sarah was great, sp so friendly and welcoming. The location was absolutely gorgeous to wake up to and to watch the sun set to. Cute, helpful little notes dotted around the hut as well as a tablet showing you how to set up the pizza over and hot tub. The hut was fully equipt with milk, coffee, tea, sugar, marshmallows, oil, pans, plates etc (as well as a little jar of treats for our dog). The whole experience was amazing and we will definitely rebook soon! Cannot thanks Sarah enough!
21/10/2022Emilia

The cabin and surrounding were stunning. It was such a peaceful stay with everything that we would ever need. The whole cabin is perfect, plenty spacious enough and so comfortable
04/07/2022Frances
What am amazing place!!! The hut is absolutely beautiful and finished to such a high spec. There’s literally nothing that Sarah hasn’t thought about. The location is a perfect base for exploring the local areas but quiet enough that you can switch off and sleep soundly without any outside noise. Loved the Dutchtub and the outdoor area and the walks from the hut were all fab. Exactly what I was looking for!

Three couples rented all of the three huts for a friends birthday celebrations. Although we only live 10 minutes away it was like being on holiday miles away. Waking up to looking at the wildflower meadows in the Vale of Belvoir was breathtaking We hardly ventured out as friends came for drinks during the day. And to be honest the set up was so perfect we wanted to capture every minute we had there. Cooking pizzas on the wood fire watching the sun go down was perfect We took advantage of the hot tubs till very late at night. The bed was so comfy - being short I did need to use the stool to climb up!! I wasn’t expecting the fittings to be of such high quality. The only thing missing for me was an extra pillow but otherwise perfect We will certainly visit again
20/05/2022Jill
It was fantastic! The tin shed was beautiful, all mod cons and amenities provided, beautiful view over the Leicestershie fields. I took my dog and he loved it too. Beautiful walks down the Grantham canal are just outside the door, plus plenty of pubs to choose from.
29/04/2022Karen
A very cosy and relaxing stay in Justin the shepherd's hut. Fantastic views for miles over the canal and countryside. Comfortable bed and all we needed inside, hot tub and wood-fired pizza oven outside.
27/04/2022Belinda
Our stay was absolutely lovely from start to finish.
22/04/2022Stephen
Great! Sarah was very nice, and the cabin was great. Nice weather helped!
18/03/2022Craig
We booked online for a four night stay to celebrate our anniversary. It was the first time we had been away without the children for more than eight years. Sarah emailed us before our stay with lots of useful advice and information on our stay an DM restaurants in the local area. We booked a couple of the places Sarah had recommended in advance of our stay. Sarah met us at the property and was so welcoming and warm. Our accommodation was delightful and Sarah had thought of every cosy and luxurious detail. It could not have been more perfect. For the first two days, we explored the local area and had some fantastic food in lovely surroundings. The remaining days we spent at our little home away from home, wallowing in the wood-fired hot tub, making pizzas in the wood-fired pizza oven - simplicity itself - whilst observing the most peaceful canal-side surroundings. As dusk fell and the stars came out, we could not remember feeling so relaxed in a long time!
07/03/2022Jen
We loved every second of our trip. Such a idyllic getaway!
09/02/2022Jenny
Wish it was longer! Honestly couldn’t recommend enough to anyone wanting to get out of the London madness. The hut was absolutely immaculate and modern. Nicer than some hotels I’ve stayed in.
02/02/2022Beth
It was a lovely cosy cabin right on the canal. Beautiful sensets there. Lovely wood fired hot tub and indoor log burner.
26/01/2022Aimee
We enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful long weekend. The hut had everything we needed and is beautifully designed, although closer to the other huts than expected, we only saw one other couple on arrival and we felt secluded and private throughout. We spent the nights soaking in the tub and watching the stars. Lazy days drinking coffee in bed with a beautiful view, walks along the canal to pubs and a trip to beautiful Belvoir Castle.
10/12/2021Rachael
Another amazing break away, we had a small honeymoon vacation at Tin and Wood. Sarah yet again made our stay very welcoming. The facilities were of a very high standard. The hot tub was excellent to relax in. We look forward to another break away here in the very near future
08/11/2021Donna
Our stay was lovely, just what we wanted with peace and quiet. The place was exactly as described and lots of information left by the owner for things to do and how to use appliances.
20/09/2021Victoria
Fantastic. Everything was considered by Sarah and her team which meant arriving and getting settled was easy and stress free.
12/07/2021Matt
WOW! What an amazing stay, we could of stayed longer. Sarah is such a great host, nothing was too much to ask. Even with covid restrictions our stay was a dream. The facilities are A1, the log fueled hot tub is so relaxing with a beautiful view and we finished the evening off with a pizza on the outdoor fire oven. It truely was a perfect experiance and we'd booked to go back for our honeymoon before we'd even left.
09/07/2021Donna
Wow! We stayed in Justin for two nights and didn’t want to leave. Sarah was super friendly and emailed us beforehand with lots of useful information and recommendations for the area. The hut was beautifully furnished and well equipped. Although there were two more huts on the site they were well spaced out and your outside area wasn’t visible to the other residents. The outdoor bath/hot tub was brilliant - more than enough space for two and had a lovely view. Super near to Belvoir castle.
21/06/2021Kayleigh
We had a great time at Tin and Wood, the hut was lovely and the location amazing with great views.
16/06/2021Meg
We really enjoyed our stay, thank you very much for having us! We especially enjoyed the wood fired hot tub and the hut was beautiful, everything here has clearly been done to the highest standards
19/05/2021Sam
Fab-u-lous! The shepherd's hut was first class - loved the attention to detail with all the bits in the hut, super comfortable bed, great shower, etc. The outside area was brilliant, completely private, lots of fun with the pizza oven/BBQ - sat outside way past sunset on both days. Sarah was a top host too, very helpful.
17/05/2021Sandra
Was really relaxing little break, we went for my boyfriends 30th birthday and they really went the extra mile. Would definitely go back!!
12/05/2021Jessica
Exceptionally clean, well organized and charming place to stay. Nothing was left out and the hospitality outstanding. What a unique experience!
10/05/2021Lizzy
Loved it. Beautiful views, warm and cosy, hot tub was just the tonic even on a cold and rainy day.
05/05/2021Liz
This was such a perfect get away! Justin was beautifully furnished, comfortable and warm. Sat next to a canal side with fantastic views and very little sound. The hot tub was just what was needed and the outdoor cooking was a bonus. Sarah was brilliant on check in and out, she suggested walking routes as well (including pub gardens!). Would highly reccomend the 11mile walk for the views, great coffee and some peace and quiet if the weather is good. Lucky to get this gem on a bank holiday weekend too. In reguards to Covid regulations etc, we felt comfortable and the hut was clean on arrival with updated check out requests, we didn't encounter any issues nor did we run into any other guests during our stay.
30/04/2021Emma
We had the most wonderful stay at Tin & Wood. Justin was beautifully and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could have possibly needed for a restful weekend. The wood fired hot tub was our favourite part, and we spent every evening enjoying the sunset from the hot tub. Sarah was a lovely host and made sure we had everything we needed, including local recommendations and walking routes. I would go back in a heart beat and have already recommended Tin & Wood to family and friends.
23/04/2021Gabrielle
Our stay was perfect! Sarah made us feel so safe with everything she had in place due to covid and so welcomed. It was so peaceful and we loved all the little touches in the hut. We will definitely be back.
14/04/2021Kelly
We very much enjoyed it and was all we expected.
18/09/2020Nicola
What a wonderful find, beautifully clean and well organised. Privately situated and every last detail thought through. We will certainly be back again for sure. The converted shepherd huts are perfect for a long weekend to get away from every day stresses.
11/09/2020Sarah
Had a fantastic stay - the cabin was really comfy, the pizza oven and hottub very good, and great location looking over the canal
04/09/2020Andy
What an amazing break! We booked this place due to still being a little bit worried about Coronavirus and it was perfect as it was out the way from people and so peaceful. The cabin was everything we hoped for and more, the hot tub made it extra special and we loved the pizza oven and enjoyed making home made pizza's in the evening. Although things are still not back to 'normal' the hosts did not let that spoil things. There were a couple of extra things we were asked to do like bagging bedding and towels up but this did not affect our stay! The hosts were great and answered any questions we had, we just can't wait to go back!
12/08/2020Jenna
Tin & Wood has to be seen to be believed! Even better than the pictures. So many elements took our breath away... perfect sunsets that can be seen from hot tub / out the windows of the hut as the whole outdoor area is bathed in the golden hour light. Perfect for sipping wine and watching the world go by. The outdoor area gets the sun all day round & we loved morning coffees in the sun too. The wildflowers blew us away too. Whilst in the tub, all you could see was the beautiful view and bees buzzing around us. The huts are perfectly catered for too - everything felt easy and relaxing. We cooked a bbq on the outdoor fire one night, pizzas in the pizza oven the next day. All of which were a fun experience in themselves. The hot tubs take a little while to warm up if you like them hot, but on a warm afternoon we got in them after 1 1/2 hours and let it heat up with us in it! The bed was huge and so comfy, the shower was big, has good pressure & hot water, even a fridge/freezer just made 'Justin' a perfect place to be outdoors with little luxuries to make everything easy. Sarah's thought of everything! Can't wait to go back
31/07/2020Dani
Booked a long weekend for my birthday. My partner, little dog and I. Arrived with a self check in service provided due to the current COVID 19 situation which we thought was amazing. All I can say is we didn’t want to come home. It was the ultimate relaxation. Walks and pottering around in the day. Chilling out in the hot tub of the evening. There is a local pub (which accepts dogs) only a 20 min walk away but unfortunately closed the day we got there. This didn’t hinder us at all, we will definitely be booking again. Thoroughly loved the break. Would recommend for anyway wanting to get away from the world and have quality time alone
20/03/2020Rosie
The perfect place to have a rest and enjoy the quiet. Also one of our favourite places and where I was asked to marry my amazing partner xx
06/03/2020Amy
We arrived on a very wet windy night. Whilst we waited for check in we went to the local pub (very friendly). We then checked in; beautiful! Sarah was so friendly, ‘Justin’ was better than we imagined. Sarah has left so many little extras from granola and milk to semolina. Beautifully decorated and just perfect.
17/02/2020Sarah
Staying at Justin was absolutely fantastic. The shepherds hut was so comfortable and totally not what we were expecting. The hut it’s self has everything you need including its own shower, fridge and wood burner! Our hosts were lovely and welcoming. I will really miss the hot tubs! It was all perfect.
25/11/2019Sam
Fabulous, peaceful and overall amazing break. We’ve stayed here before, 11 months ago and knew we would return. Can’t fault anything. The log burner, pizza oven and Dutch tub are great additions and even better experiencing them in the cold weather. Huge comfortable bed and kitchen facilities are lovely and a nice hot shower. Peaceful and quiet location.
20/11/2019Johanna
Had an amazing stay! Beautiful setting, the hot tub was brilliant!! Loved all of it, sarah was a brilliant host too.
15/11/2019Sarah
We had an amazing time away from it all. We felt so pampered by the experience and couldn't fault it.
11/10/2019Stephanie
We really enjoyed our time there despite some fairly awful weather. It was quiet and cosy inside with the log burner on
30/09/2019Lisa
I chose Justin as a surprise few days away for my partner’s 40th birthday. It was just perfect! A chance to make some memories and enjoy some peace together
25/09/2019Nichola
Fantastic stay
02/09/2019Chelsea
Easily one of the best and most relaxing places I’ve ever stayed in. The scenery was amazing (even though we had a lot of rain). The host was extremely friendly and helpful when we needed her. 100% would recommend to anyone trying to get peace and quiet from daily life!
14/08/2019Jordan
My partner and I had the best weekend ever here. Set in the most perfect, peaceful, idyllic place, with breathtaking views and fantastic surrounding wildlife. The hut was better than we could have imagined, fully kitted out with beautiful rustic decor. The hot tub was the cherry on top, allowing us to watch the sunsets outside in warmth. Sarah was the best host, incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely come back!
05/07/2019harriet
Had a wonderful stay at Tin and Wood, Sarah was so welcoming and has furnished the place with everything you could need. The litle touches like coffee, milk, museli were great. It feels really secluded and private, and was a wonderful weekend away from the city. The pizza oven was great too!
07/06/2019Fuchsia
A perfect relaxing stay, that felt like you were in the middle of no where. The ultimate glamping experience with a hot tub and pizza oven! Ideal for a little romantic getaway.
27/05/2019Sophie
Great spot with everything you need to relax.
22/05/2019Emeline
The most incredible scenery that I will never forget; unexplainable by words. A lovely, welcoming host and the most beautiful accomodation. It was the perfect getaway, thank you so much
20/05/2019Louise
We had the most perfect weekend at the Justin Hut! I took my boyfriend for his birthday and it surpassed all expectations. Sarah was a great host, she met us for the check in and advised us on all the best places to eat and go walking. We spent a good 3 hours in the dutch hot tub, even whilst it was raining! Nestled in a quiet and peaceful location, the hut was the perfect place to chill out and un wind. The outdoor pizza oven was an added bonus, very simple to use and made the most delicious handmade pizzas. An unforgettable weekend, we will definitely be back and we will be recommending to all our friends and family!
10/05/2019Claire
We had a brilliant time. All the fun bits of camping & none of the iffy bits. Justin was amazing - great style & beautifully kitted out. Sarah was lovely; so friendly & helpful but never intrusive. Loved the hot tub. Well worth the 4 hours it took to heat up!! Soaking up to your neck in hot water under a darkening sky with a glass of wine to hand - what's not to like?
29/04/2019Sue
We spent a wonderful Easter bank holiday weekend here. We were lucky with the weather, but we would have had a perfect holiday even if it was pouring!
19/04/2019Michael
We had a lovely stay at Justin. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable, the hot tub was lovely and relaxing over looking stunning views. There are walks from the door, which was fantastic with the dog. And sarah was very welcoming on arrival and very informative. Would highly recommend staying here!
17/04/2019Tania
Absolutely amazing, the hut was beautiful inside and in the surrounding area, the hot tub was an amazing touch and Sarah was so helpful and welcoming, bringing us extra logs and giving us info on the best walks and pubs
05/04/2019Sophie
It was incredible! The hut exceeded all expectations for size, comfort and style but the stay was made even better because of the local area and sarah our host. There was so much to do and so many places to go - so much so we plan to go back in the summer!
29/03/2019Ellie
We had a great stay at Justin - the hut was warm, cosy and there was ample space inside. It was well equipped and the outdoor space (hot tub, pizza oven, seating area etc) was fantastic. Fantastic hosts too - nothing was too much trouble.
16/02/2019Julie
Justin was simply gorgeous! Such a stunning, peaceful place and absolutely everything has been thought of there... Sarah was so friendly and helpful and such a pleasure to talk to. It's like a TARDIS as well - much bigger on the inside than it looks outside! Despite blowing a gale and chucking it down at times while I was there, I was snug and cosy and even braved the hot tub while it was about 3 degrees outside! The Engine Yard and Belvoir Castle were definitely worth the day trips out, and I can't wait to go back and explore more. Justin is a dream, but I'm sorely tempted to cheat on him with his brother Austin next time...
07/02/2019Sarah
We loved every minute of our stay, the hut was beautifully furnished and had absolutely everything we could need! We overlooked the canal and was fantastic to watch the sunrise whilst snuggled in bed!
18/01/2019Becky
Absolutely amazing! The hut was bigger than expected, very spacious for 2 people. We used the log burner every night which made it very cosy on the cold evenings. The Dutch tub made the glamping experience even better, we used this twice in the 3 days we were there. Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom - lovely shower hot water all the time. Honestly couldn’t fault anything, we didn’t want to leave!
08/01/2019Johanna
A little slice of luxury in the English countryside. A fabulous place to get away from it all. The hut was lovely and spacious, stylish and comfortable but it was the outside space that made the stay really special. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Absolutely loved our stay at Tin & Wood. The Justin hut was beautifully presented and well equipped. Cosy and warm. The pizza oven/bbq was a great addition as well as the hot tub! Location is great with great local walks and some great spots nearby for breakfast and lunch. We stopped at a cafe in stathern and the engine yard bistro. Our dog loved the space and we would definitely return!
17/03/2025Laura

09/09/2024Kevin
Beautiful setting looking over the English countryside. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. The huts are very well equipped and finished to a high standard. We absolutely loved a dash of outdoor living with making our own fires for the pizza oven and outdoor bath! Sarah is a very responsive and thoughtful host and was on hand to help us throughout the stay.

Lovely stay in a beautiful spot
26/06/2024Graham
Beautiful Shepherd's hut in an idyllic setting. The wood fire dutch tub was relaxing and fun at the same time. Luxury furnishings made the hut cosy and stylish. Sarah the host was lovely and thoughtful. Available but not intrusive. The local pub was welcoming. We enjoyed our visit with our dog who was made very welcome with his own towel and treats provided. The hamper Sarah made up for us on request was all local produce to a very high standard the pastries where delicious. Would highly recommend . A wonderful stay.
14/06/2024Julie
14/04/2023Claire
Wonderful, peaceful and relaxing stay. Wonderful location overlooking the canal and countryside. Sarah is a great host.
The huts are easy to find and set in the most stunning location, beautiful hits with everything you need, it was spotlessly clean and smelled amazing when you opened the door, gorgeous Dutch tub and pizza oven. Sarah is lovely and welcoming, fantastic walks and Sunday lunch at the windmill pub was excellent. Everywhere is dog friendly. Peace , quiet and tranquility in abundance. Fabulous stay .

Had a wonderful stay here at Tin and Wood. Beautiful place, stunning scenery, fantastic walks. Hosts thought of everything.
03/10/2022Aimee
We had an amazing time staying in Justin. Sarah was a really welcoming host, and had an abundance of local knowledge to provide us to help make our stay as special as possible. The view from Justin was beautiful, and the hot tub and pizza oven gave us that outdoorsy feel with the luxury of the shephards hut. We would highly recommend, and will definitely be returning.
19/09/2022Luke
Absolutely loved our stay. The location is beautiful, a quiet place to kick back and relax. Hope to be back again!
26/08/2022Simon
Fantastic little place in a beautiful surrounding, just what my partner and I needed.
19/08/2022Matthew
I had the most wonderful stay here. It was calm, peaceful and tranquil. Everything I needed was included in the hut so I didn't need to venture out for anything. The outdoor spaces were lovely. It was nice to have a sheltered place to sit and eat and enjoy the views. Sarah was incredibly friendly and helpful and put me at ease as soon as I arrived. I felt comfortable there on my own.
15/08/2022Danielle
Absolutely beautiful place good location and very nice host
20/07/2022Mark
25/05/2022Natalie

It was fantastic! The tin shed was beautiful, all mod cons and amenities provided, beautiful view over the Leicestershie fields. I took my dog and he loved it too. Beautiful walks down the Grantham canal are just outside the door, plus plenty of pubs to choose from.

Great! Sarah was very nice, and the cabin was great. Nice weather helped!

We loved every second of our trip. Such a idyllic getaway!

Wish it was longer! Honestly couldn’t recommend enough to anyone wanting to get out of the London madness. The hut was absolutely immaculate and modern. Nicer than some hotels I’ve stayed in.

It was a lovely cosy cabin right on the canal. Beautiful sensets there. Lovely wood fired hot tub and indoor log burner.

Another amazing break away, we had a small honeymoon vacation at Tin and Wood. Sarah yet again made our stay very welcoming. The facilities were of a very high standard. The hot tub was excellent to relax in. We look forward to another break away here in the very near future

Our stay was lovely, just what we wanted with peace and quiet. The place was exactly as described and lots of information left by the owner for things to do and how to use appliances.

Fantastic. Everything was considered by Sarah and her team which meant arriving and getting settled was easy and stress free.

We had a great time at Tin and Wood, the hut was lovely and the location amazing with great views.

We really enjoyed our stay, thank you very much for having us! We especially enjoyed the wood fired hot tub and the hut was beautiful, everything here has clearly been done to the highest standards

Fantastic stay

Had a wonderful stay at Tin and Wood, Sarah was so welcoming and has furnished the place with everything you could need. The litle touches like coffee, milk, museli were great. It feels really secluded and private, and was a wonderful weekend away from the city. The pizza oven was great too!

A perfect relaxing stay, that felt like you were in the middle of no where. The ultimate glamping experience with a hot tub and pizza oven! Ideal for a little romantic getaway.

Great spot with everything you need to relax.

The most incredible scenery that I will never forget; unexplainable by words. A lovely, welcoming host and the most beautiful accomodation. It was the perfect getaway, thank you so much
