Overview
Once deemed the Rolls Royce of caravans, the restored Warwick Knight has stayed true to its regal roots, with some expert polishing from proud owners Ali and Rich. No need to put your cat-swinging plans on hold as the roof has been raised, windows have been added, and the layout has been meticulously planned to create a magnificent sense of space. Better still, you can stretch your legs (or sink down into a beanbag) up on the lush rooftop lawn, while enjoying views of the River Severn or the starry skies above from your woodfired bath. Croquet mallets optional.
A large but cosy seating area, complete with a crackling log-burner is the hub of the caravan and the kitchen has plenty of worktop space if you want a night off from campfire cooking. The sleeping area is separated by sliding doors so that you can read a book or have a drink by the fire when the kids go to bed. They’ll be wanting to head there early to climb the wall pegs up to their bunk pods, where they'll each have a little reading light. The double bed is pretty irresistible too – with orchard views and luxury linen. A charmingly rustic shower-on-wheels is adjacent, as is the compost loo.
As featured on George Clarke's Amazing Spaces on Channel 4.

Meet Ali & Rich

Ali traveled around the world for 3 years - a third of which she spent living in a bus running a horse trekking business in New Zealand. Rich grew up at Peglass Cottage with his grandparents who were farmers. Naturally, he is a born farmer and loves everything outdoors - a mutual passion of the couple!
They originally brought a gypsy bow top wagon, which they took horse drawn out on the road whenever they could. They loved cooking over a fire, sleeping in a cosy bed under canvas and enjoying nature.
Ali has dedicated the last 15 years to helping less mobile people access the world. She creates holidays which are tailored to be barrier free allowing not only disabled people to have great holidays, but their friends, carers and families too. This love of creating amazing doable holidays, her passion for the outdoors, along with Rich’s practical brilliance, is the whole reason behind The Glamping Orchard. What better way to share what you love than to gift memories and experiences to others, so they can form their very own dreams.
Ali and Rich live on site and are on hand to help with fire lighting, and are happy to share their knowledge of the local area.
Wildlife & Environment
The area is teeming with wildlife including all sorts of birds of prey, hedgehogs, hares, pheasants, woodpeckers, rabbits, buzzards and even a barn owl which Ali & Rich hope will take up residence.

Warwick Knight is a real gem nestled away in the Gloucestershire countryside. With views of rolling-hills to soak up from the top level of the converted camper, it really is a quirky place to sit back and enjoy the tranquil setting of this place. Inside the property is the perfect place to snuggle up next to the wood-fired burner with a good book. There are plenty of walks on your doorstep, with country pubs and local shops only being a short stomp away! This space is perfect for people wanting to experience something a little different and to stay in a bit of history.

We had a fantastic stay at the Glamping Orchard. The Warwick Knight caravan had everything we required and more. We had glorious weather for the Easter weekend which also helped. Stuart the Sheep and Gorgeous the Horse in the neighbouring field kept the kids (and adults entertained) and lounging back in the hammock was so relaxing. We loved collecting our own eggs in the mornings for breakfast and the wood fired shower worked a treat! Would definitely return. Owners were very friendly but not imposing.

The place itself , kitchen, bathroom all the surrounding of the place was just the best. The host thought of every tiny details. Will definitely go back. 14/09/2020Tina
Brilliant place to stay. Warwick Knight is superbly and beautifully equipped. The setting is gorgeous and so are the hosts! There are lovely finishing touches to the accommodation and Ali and Rich strike to perfect balance of being there if needed (like when we were stupid and couldn't use a key properly!) but letting us feel completely comfortable, relaxed and at home in their orchard. Go and stay - but not when I want to go back!!!
24/07/2020Margherita
As soon as we arrived we felt at home, the caravan was cosy and had lots of little touches. Oliver loved it, particularly the little cabin bed. Everything needed was catered for with the lovely surprise of a home cooked cake and bubbly, a lovely touch. The views from the roof garden were spectacular particularly early evening with the sun setting. The hosts Richard and Ali were attentive and gave us advice on where to visit in the area. We would love to visit again in the future. Mel, Bob and Oliver x

We couldn't have asked for more! We loved every minute of our stay at the tranquil little haven that is, the Warwick Knight! The most welcoming hosts and beautiful location. We stayed as a family of four, as a surprise for my husbands 40th birthday and we all loved every minute of it!
02/08/2019Sandy
Our 2 night stay at Warwick Knight was not long enough! It is one of the most unique places we've found and felt different and exciting from start to finish. For the grown ups, the caravan is a wonderful discovery - it's small and compact, but every single area has been planned to make it as practical and comfortable as possible, and it feels really luxurious! Comfy bed, lovely linen, robes, prosecco and home made cake on arrival... Great mod cons, so it was definitely more glamping than camping, but with the option of cooking al fresco if we wanted. Masses for kids to do - a store of games for indoors and outdoors, a gorgeous farm of animals to greet each day and fresh eggs for little ones to collect and cook! Travelling solo with a young child, I felt that she was safe at all times, and free to explore and run around barefoot within an enclosed area that I could monitor. In fact, if I sat up on the roof terrace with my prosecco/ tea/ cake I could keep track of her... and find time to relax! Wonderful for a mini break or longer. Looked like there were some lovely excursions nearby and good pubs/ eateries. We loved it and we will return! Thank you Ali and Richard!
31/07/2019Charlotte
Fantastic place, beautiful camper van and brilliant owners, they couldn't have been more helpful
29/07/2019Joanne
Warwick Knight is set in the most beautiful location surrounded by acres of country side. You are created with the warmest of welcomes from Ali and Rich. From start to finish we had a truly relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable stay. Warwick Knight is fully equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need! It really is an amazing space! Ali and Rich were more than accommodating for anything you needed. Warwick Knight is the perfect place to get away to relax, unwind and enjoy the countryside. our stay was amazing, we wish we had booked for longer!
25/04/2019Nicola
Myself, Olivia (8) and Maisie (5) had a fantastic time in the Warwick Knight. The caravan was perfectly fitted out and had everything we needed - plenty of space, storage, beautifully decorated, the beds were amazing and the girls loved climbing up into the bunks, games to play, fire pit, an amazing log fired shower, beautiful orchards, animals to cuddle, the River Severn close by....what more could you want. The girls loved it, I loved it, just a shame we couldn't stay longer!
20/08/2018liz
We only stayed two nights, but this was soley to enjoy the tram and its surroundings, it was not to go off for day trips. We wanted to be in, on top of and outside of the tram, making the best use of all its private and comfortable furnishings and extras. You do not need to take a 'basic' pack...they provided it....lemon drizzle cake and prosecco also provided. The composting loo was not a problem, furnsihings and equipment brilliant, the wood heated shower was a treat. Being on a farm was nice collecting eggs and feeding animals. It was also very private, nice features such as flowere beds, board games, and outisde games provided too. Lots of charcoal and kindling. They had thought of everything including handpulled mini trucks to get your kit form the car to the tram. Lovely owners too
17/06/2018Paula
What an enchanting place filled with character and perfect for making precious memories. We were met on arrival and shown around our accommodation, fire wood shower ( which was a complete hit with the children) and made to feel very welcomed and comfortable. The little added touches like homemade lemon cake, fresh milk, chilled presseco and apple juice made us feel very special. The children were able to collect eggs from the chickens and feed the lambs their milk bottles which they loved. I can’t fault the accommodation or welcome. Perfect family holiday spending quality time in beautiful surroundings.
27/04/2018Rachael
We had a magical weekend here. Extremely comfortable accommodation in the gorgeous Warwick Knight. The children picked their own eggs from the Hen house and fed the pigs every day, and petted the friendly horses. Ideal location on a small friendly farm, an easy 15 minute walk to the River Severn, very peaceful. Lovely warm shower with luxury towels and robes. The owners are more than hospital, with a welcome of delicious home-made lemon drizzle cake and a bottle of prosecco, and tea and coffee also provided. They have managed to create a very private little peace of heavenly English countryside all of your own for your stay here. A very easy to find quick drive from the M5.

2 nights in July. Amazing spot. The caravan looks stunning. It's cosy inside with everything you need. Delighted to find a bottle of prosecco chilling in the fridge and homemade lemon cake. The roof terrace is beautiful with 360 view of countryside. Amazing sky. Felt very relaxed and at peace.

We had a fantastic stay at Warwick Knight, a unique high end glamping experiance. The location is beautiful and pieceful, and the location of the Warwick Knight is nice and private. So much attention to detail has gone into the accomodation, everything is beautifully presented and everything you need is included. My 6 year old daughter loved every minute of the experiance, main highlights being, very cool bunk beds, lovely roof terrace, feeding the pig, petting the lambs and searching for eggs. Would not hesitate to recommend
31/05/2017Lyndsy
The Warwick Knight was so well kitted out we wanted for nothing - there was even tea, coffee etc and the beginning shower had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The position of the caravan was ideal - the view from the bed was amazing!
29/05/2017Gary
Amazing place. You can see the love and care put into the Warwick Knights. Everything has been carefully thought through from the welcome bubbles and homemade cake to the eco friendly attitude. The plot has a beautiful view which is best viewed from the roof top seating area. The welcome and support from Ali and Rich makes you relax before you know it.
10/04/2017Tracy
A unique space with a wonderful back story! There was something magical about climbing the spiral staircase to the rooftop living room - I can imagine it would be a perfect stargazing spot. The fact that it was set in a beautiful apple orchard made it even more special.

Go and stay - but not when I want to go back!!!

The Warwick Knight was so well kitted out we wanted for nothing - there was even tea, coffee etc and the beginning shower had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The position of the caravan was ideal - the view from the bed was amazing!

A unique space with a wonderful back story! There was something magical about climbing the spiral staircase to the rooftop living room - I can imagine it would be a perfect stargazing spot. The fact that it was set in a beautiful apple orchard made it even more special.
