Overview
The clear-panelled dome of Stargazer’s Pod is yours to shape into whatever you wish. The space blends a stylish, modern feel with rustic country living, and huge windows let in nature from all sides, with views of Devon's unspoilt skies. The cabin behind the pod itself is lovingly crafted to evoke the outdoors, from gleaming local timber floors to bedrooms carpeted with astroturf. Art and furnishings have been carefully chosen to accent the space without losing its essential natural feel. There are beds for up to six, along with the modern kitchen and bathroom, leaving the versatile pod as your play space. Bean bags and cushions can be arranged or cleared to make the dome anything from a cosy napping space to a yoga studio or the perfect stargazing platform, with the stunning Devonshire countryside as a backdrop whatever you choose to do. The pod is kept cosy year-round by oil heaters, but if you're staying in winter make sure you pack your woollies. As if that wasn't enough, Loveland Farm also has an indoor heated salt water swimming pool for guests to enjoy during their stay. Measuring an impressive 11 metres, this eco-swimming pool is heated by a wood-chip fired biomass and offers guests a luxurious dip into the creative world of Loveland Farm.
A connection with nature runs right through Stargazer’s Pod. The countryside setting and the distant sea views invite you to explore the local beaches, the coast path, the winding Tamar and the crystal clear waters of the Hartland peninsula. You can surf, snorkel, dive, kayak, hike and bike your way through and around spectacular countryside. For most activities, the relaxed town of Bude is the drop off point. Loveland owners Karina and Jeff can let you know who to contact and also set you off on their favourite hikes, like the figure of eight round the National Trust’s East Titchberry Farm and over to Exmansworthy.
When all the adventuring has worked up your appetite, pop in to The Pop In convenience store in Hartland or explore Bude for ingredients for the BBQ. Both towns also offer cafés, restaurants and takeaways if you’re too worn out to cook or on Fridays you can pre-order a wood-fired pizza from Loveland’s very own oven.

Clovelly
The cobbled, traffic-free, high street of this world famous fishing village in North Devon, built into a cleft in a 400' high cliff, tumbles its way down past whitewashed cottages festooned with flowers to the tiny, ancient working port. It is also famous for its donkeys, which traditionally carry goods up the hill; sledges bring things down. There are links with Charles Kingsley, Turner, Dickens and the Spanish Armada. What everyone remarks upon is the maritime atmosphere, stunning views and the peaceful tranquillity of the village, so visitors often decide on the spot to stay a night or two. The New Inn Hotel in the heart of this historic village and the Red Lion Hotel at its foot, beside the sea, offer charming en suite accommodation and excellent bar and restaurant food.

About Jeff & Karina
After travelling the world with their fashion company, Karina and Jeff discovered Loveland Farm on their quest for sustainability. A place of tranquility on the Hartland Peninsula on the border of North Devon and Cornwall, Loveland is a place that celebrates simplicity. Loveland Farm sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The flora and fauna is diverse and abundant. In addition to this Jeff and Karina's own farm animals add an authentic touch to the camping experience. You can expect to encounter the pigs, chickens, ducks and can even purchase eggs, bacon, sausages and home grown fruit and vegetables. The pod overlooks the meadow, woodland and stream. The farm is a smallholding offering a small peaceful site that encapsulates all the elements they had been searching for. They've been there since 2010 and are still loving the recent addition of camping and the fabulous pod.

Short walks to hill climbs
There are plenty of places to walk in and around Hartland one of our favourite's is the coastal path that runs through The National Trust's East Titchberry farm and loops round in a figure of 8 over to Exmansworthy. Visit the Southwest Coast Path website which features all the coastal walks along the North Devon cliffs, there is a fantastic 10 miler that runs from Hartland quay to Clovelly. The Tarka Trail runs from Bideford up the coast to Barnstaple, there are plenty of walks and cycleways around this area all following the disused south west rail way line, there's some beautiful views along the way, definately a must-do.
Rock Climbing
The coastline offers plenty of challenging climbs for competent climbers but if you fancy giving it a try you can visit the Ultimate Adventure Centre at Abbotsham, Bideford. Offering climbing, coasteering and new for 2011...Ultimate Wipeout!

Cycling
Cycling in North Devon is not for the faint hearted, everytime you over a come a hill there's another one on the horizon. If you're up to it though it is a great way to get about. The National Cycle route No. 3 which connects Bristol with Lands End runs through part of the Tarka trail at Barnstaple through to Bude, for more information please visit the sustrans website.

What an awesome place to call home for the weekend! The geodome is a treasure trove, waiting to be discovered and I was equally as excited as the little one in tow when exploring our new home for the first time. Jeff cooked us amazing wood-fired pizza on the Friday, with the ingredients sourced from Loveland Farm’s own vegetable garden and introduced us to the resident pigs, who love being treated to courgettes from the poly tunnel. Nearby Hartland Quay is breath-taking, a dramatic stretch of Devon coastline and not to be missed! A real highlight of the stay was the simple feeling of being as snug as a bug, tucked up in bed and cocooned within our domed abode.

My family and I had such an amazing time at Loveland Farm. We were a bit worried about the Compost toilet as we were staying with a 6 & a 3 year old but thankfully no issues! The beach was a 5-10 minute drive which was great but other beaches around were just as beautiful. The staff were lovely and the surrounding was just beautiful. I'm sure we'll be back next Summer!
