Treehouse holidays in Yorkshire

‘God’s country’, as Yorkshire is affectionately known by locals, is a vast landscape of heather-clad moors, rolling dales and charming fishing villages with some of the best pub walks in the country. It’s the perfect place to revisit the childhood magic of dens and secret hideaways in a luxurious treehouse with staggering views of the unspoilt beauty all around.  Urgent emails, traffic jams – and urban life in general – will feel a million miles away when the only sounds you can hear are birds and gently babbling brooks. Your main challenge will be remembering to actually go outside after you’ve discovered the hot tub, pizza oven, king sized bed and glowing wood burner.

Why choose glamping with Canopy & Stars?

We’ve been searching out the most unique and beautiful treehouses in the UK and beyond since 2010 and it’s made us very discerning. Having said that, we still get a major flutter of excitement when we find those playful features that make a stay really memorable – like tunnel slides to hidden games rooms and unexpected Scandi-style saunas. We inspect every space in our collection to make sure there’s nowhere else you’d rather return to at the end of an exhilarating day outdoors. With so much space in Yorkshire, you’ll find cool, quirky treehouses that feel more like more palaces than nests.

About Yorkshire treehouses with Canopy & Stars

What’s it like to stay in a treehouse?

Treehouse life is deeply relaxing. You could start your day with yoga on the deck as the birds sing a dawn chorus, followed by a long stroll in the woods before heading back to fire up the pizza oven. Sunset is the time to slide into the hot tub and watch the changing colours as fairy lights glow among the branches and the stars emerge above the tree canopy.

How much does it cost to stay in a treehouse?

Just like our cabins you’ll find a wide range of options at Canopy & Stars when it comes to treehouses. Our larger, more luxurious spaces start from £250 per night but there are plenty of cosier floating pods from as little as £100 per night. If you need some help deciding where to stay, just give our friendly Guest Experience Team a call. If you're on a budget and would like to explore more stays, visit our budget glamping page for plenty more options that won't break the bank.

What activities can you do while glamping in Yorkshire?

You’ve arrived in hiking and mountain biking country when you visit Yorkshire. The upland scenery of the Dales is a haven for cyclists looking to tackle the huge network of lanes, trails and bridleways. There’s also rock climbing, watersports and gorgeous historic cities like York to explore. If that all sounds like too much exertion, just stroll to the nearest pub for a slap-up roast with extra Yorkshire puddings.

What is the best time of year to go glamping in Yorkshire?

That’s a trick question because Yorkshire is glorious in all seasons. Adventure sports come into their own in the summer; there are scampering lambs and bluebell woods in the spring; the purple heather on the moors flowers in early autumn and, in winter, a still magic descends when the landscape sparkles under blankets of frost and snow.
