Glamping in the Peak District

Almost the dead centre of the country, The Peak District is home to some truly spectacular scenery – steep limestone valleys, imposing gritstone ridges, and vast stretches of moorland plateaus, all wrapped around an incredible hillscape that make up the 1.4km² AONB. There’s a huge amount to go and explore in this area, and endless hikes and walks that straddle the epic landscape, so take a look at our favourite spaces in the region.

Why book a glamping break with Canopy & Stars?

There’s no question about it, it’s the most relaxing way to travel. Go stay in a hotel, and you’ll find yourself packing more than you would to go glamping, ironically. Choosing between shoes is a lot easier when you just need the good pair and the muddy pair, and even better – some spaces don’t even have wifi, so you’re free of the pressure to keep connected for once.

About glamping in the Peak District

Who we are We’re an independent company, finding special places to glamp since 2010. We focus on trying to find low-impact structures, places where the owner has a real connection with the land and their space either sits in it unobtrusively, or even helps preserve the land it’s on. And it’s not just our owners we look to for steps to fight climate change. We have a charitable trust to help support organisations that work to help climate conservation.

Why choose glamping in the Peak District? We’ve traipsed the length, breadth, and height of the Peak District in search of special places to stay, finding all the places worth staying in within the boundaries of this beautiful AONB. We peered out the picture windows, bounced on the beds (respectfully), rifled through the welcome hampers, and of course grilled up feasts on the barbeques. Unlike other companies, we’ve really been there, and done that – so you know when you book with Canopy & Stars – you’re getting what you paid for. If you want to know a little more about us, take a peek, we don’t mind.

Is the Peak District really all that special? The short answer is, yes. The long answer is yeeeees. It just so happens there’s things in The Peak District you won’t find anywhere else. It’s 555 square miles of climbing, caving and hiking – and there’s just no way you’re going to be able to do it all in a few days. But it’s not just the adventures you’re going for. It’s the downtime, reconnecting with nature and finally getting to switch off. There are places to stay and relax in The Peak District you won’t find anywhere else in the UK.

What if I’m not sure about the place? Well, this is kind of the best part. Not sure if the space is right for you? Wondering if you’ve forgotten something? Our Guest Experience Team are pretty incredible. In fact – if you’re wondering how customer experience is measured – it’s in a thing called an NPS score. A score above 0 is good, above 20 favourable, above 50 excellent, and above 80 is world class. Our NPS score hasn’t fallen below 80 for 3 years. Ask us about your next stay.
