What should I do on a glamping holiday in Norway?
Turn off your phone, breathe in the fresh air and live a simple life in the woods on a glamping holiday to Norway. Hone your survival skills by splitting logs for the fire with an axe, hunting for wild berries and catching trout in a lake to cook up for dinner. A second glance at the vast backdrop of trees and mountains might reveal a few timid moose and deer pondering your exertions. There’s no pressure to be active, we’re big advocates for deep relaxation, especially when there are so many cosy spots to snuggle up with a book or have a guilt-free afternoon nap.
What’s our expertise?
We eat, breathe and sleep glamping, particularly when we’re inspecting each place in our ever-growing collection. In 2010 we started off with seven spaces and a big idea and today we have over 800 cabins, treehouses, shepherd’s huts and more across the UK and Europe. We’re an annoyingly discerning bunch and we only work with owners who put their heart and soul into their places so you know you’re in for a very special experience when you book with us.
What is the best time to visit Norway?
With such a varied landscape, Norway offers memorable outdoor experiences all year round. Go skiing and dog sledding in the winter and visit fairy-lit Christmas markets; photograph the dazzling displays of colour in autumn and kayak, walk and cycle in the spring and summer months. Charming towns like Kristiansand are well worth a visit in all seasons to see the pretty wooden houses, theatres, shops and restaurants.
How do I find the right place for me?
We have a two-pronged approach when it comes to helping you decide where to stay. The place pages on our website are packed full of information, from details about the accommodation and location, to inside knowledge about local activities, nearby markets and the best place to get a slap-up Sunday roast. If you need more advice, we have a team of brilliant humans on the end of the phone in our Bristol HQ, ready to listen to your wishlist and impart their glamping wisdom.
