The wild beauty of the Lake District is best experienced up close and personal. Nestled among the craggy fells and serene lakes in a cosy cabin with a hot tub, you’ll have VIP access to the majesty of Cumbria’s famous national park. Open the front door of your snug retreat, pull on your hiking boots and head off for a day’s adventuring in the mountains, stopping to take in waterfalls, castles and picturesque villages along the way. If you’re feeling brave, throw in a bracing wild swim while you’re out. Find out more and book one of our cosy cabins with a hot tub in the Lake District.
Our selection of cabins in the Lake District are found in some of the most remote and beautiful parts of the national park. There’s no negotiating busy crowds on the pavement or being kept awake by noisy neighbours, unless you count the owls. From your cabin, you’ll have instant access to hiking paths, biking trails, vast lakes and the sights and sounds of the local wildlife. In the evening, hop into the warmth of the outdoor tub and it feels like you’ve got the mountains completely to yourselves. When the place you stay is as magical as the location it’s in, you know you’re on to a winner.
For us, a really great cabin takes you somewhere, both literally and figuratively. The two cabins designed, built and moved around the Lake District by John Graham capture that idea perfectly. We caught up with John to talk about the challenges and rewards of making mobile cabins in the Lakes.
This region in Northwest England is home to some of the most stunning scenery in the country, with rolling hills, pristine lakes, and rugged mountains. And what better way to experience this natural beauty than by staying in one of the region's many remote cabins?
We'd like to think we have some of Britain's most scenic hot tubs, baths, double baths and outdoor showers in our collection so we've rounded up some of ours, and our guests' favourites below. Lie back, relax and enjoy; you can almost feel the wind on your nips…
Hot tubs need a bit of time and care before you’re steaming under the stars. Always look for instructions from the owner on the specific type at the space, but here are a few tips to get your hot tub technique up to a simmer before you arrive.
Breathe in the fresh air, crack open the bubbles and make new memories. Cuddling up together in a warm outdoor hot tub under a sparkling blanket of stars will be the icing on the cake (or the skylight in the treehouse).
