More from Sawday's
It oozes chocolate box beauty, but the Cotswolds has hidden depths. You’ll discover historic villages, the majesty of Blenheim Palace, nature reserves and a rich arts and crafts heritage that’s still going strong. It’s a walker’s paradise with gently undulating hills and 100 glorious miles of the Cotswold Way to gambol along before gravitating to the nearest honey-hued pub for some liquid refreshment. Our glamping holidays in the Cotswolds range from shepherd’s huts, yurts and cabins, to bell tents and – of course – spectacular treehouses.
Glamping is travel without the distractions of busy check in desks and boisterous crowds. It’s the chance to see places in their quiet, unspoilt glory. Plus there’s often a hot tub. Breathe in the clean fresh air, cuddle up round the campfire, swing in a hammock under the stars and time will start to slow down and expand. Whichever glamping place you pick in the Cotswolds, you’ll find something totally unique, cocooned in a picturesque landscape.
Spanning a massive 2,038km², the Cotswolds AONB encompasses five counties and borders a number of major cities. Here’s a quick jaunt from one end of the Cotswolds to the other, take the tour you could do in any order, or any direction.
Spanning 112km of West Country, the Cotswolds borders four major cities, more than a few smaller ones, plenty of towns and untold villages. In between, you’ll find those 112km laden with wild spaces, beautiful scenery, wildlife aplenty and every inch – worth exploring.
