Throw in a crackling fire pit, bubbling hot tub, free range wildlife and views to die for and you’ll discover the joy of doing very little… but doing it exceptionally well.

They do all this off-the-beaten track, in harmony with nature and with an attention-to-detail that fills each place with warmth and charm. At Canopy & Stars we’re a discerning bunch, and we only accept 20% of applications we receive to join our collection, so you know you’re going to get something special.

Is Northumberland worth visiting?

You’ll be raving about the delights of Northumberland to anyone who will listen after your visit. Just don’t tell too many people. From the dramatic, pristine beaches of Budle Bay and Bamburgh to the mighty Chillingham castle and the ruins of Dunstanburgh – it boasts breathtaking scenery. Also, there’s Hogwarts (OK, Alnwick Castle) so it’s officially magical. With so many wide open spaces, there are endless adventures to be had whether you fancy surfing, coastal kayaking, bird watching, forest zip lining or mountain biking.
