Dog-friendly cabins in Northumberland

Vast landscapes, endless views and a blissful lack of crowds means you're in a part of the world where dogs can run themselves into a state of happy exhaustion. Hike through Northumberland’s ancient forests, race across deserted sandy beaches and explore hauntingly beautiful castles, before heading back to the sanctuary of your cosy cabin to rest and refuel. While your dog settles down for a well-deserved snooze, you can kick back with a glass of wine and gaze at the celestial light show in the inky darkness above.

Why choose dog-friendly cabins with Canopy & Stars?

At Canopy & Stars we love cabins, we love dogs and we know how good it feels to bring the two together in blissful harmony. Our dog-friendly cabins don’t grudgingly tolerate pets, they welcome them with open arms – arms that may or may not contain a few treats. We know this because we visit and inspect every single one of our glamping spaces to make sure they offer the perfect blend of practicality, comfort and full immersion in nature. If you still need a bit of help choosing where to stay, several friendly humans (in the form of our Guest Experience Team) are at the end of the phone ready to guide you.

About dog-friendly cabins in Northumberland with Canopy & Stars

Who we are

Canopy & Stars is a leading independent travel company based in Bristol, with an open-door policy for well-behaved office dogs. Since 2010, we’ve been pulling on our hiking boots and exploring beautiful, remote corners of the UK and Europe to bring you incredible experiences in nature. We work with a network of passionate owners who pour love, care and wild creativity into their unique glamping spaces.

Our dog-friendly cabins in Northumberland

The dramatic scenery has really sparked the imagination of our owners in Northumberland and they’ve created some of the coolest, quirkiest cabins in our collection. We’re talking a chapel on wheels with a hot tub, a converted Victorian station waiting room and a four-storey tower in the woods with a retracting stargazing roof. You couldn’t make this stuff up, but it’s all there in real-life waiting to blow your mind.

We care about responsible travel

Canopy & Stars are proud to be one of the highest-scoring B Corps in travel, but we never get complacent. We always look ahead to the future and we’ve set ourselves some ambitious goals that include net zero carbon by 2030. We work closely with our owners to ensure the glamping places in our collection are as sustainable as possible and we limit the amount of spaces we offer in over-touristed areas. What to do with your dog in Northumberland

A visit to Northumberland with your dog wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the sea. Race along vast empty beaches and splash in the surf at Budle Bay and Bamburgh before visiting magnificent coastal castles like Dunstanburgh. Or if you’re a Harry Potter fan, head inland to Alnwick Castle, aka Hogwarts. For scenic strolls to suit all energy levels, hit the trails at Kielder Water and Forest Park spotting red squirrels, ospreys and water voles. Well behaved dogs are allowed off the lead in the forest providing they can be quickly called back.
