Who we are

Founded on a passion for nature and creativity, we want to help as many people as possible live a life more wild. A life connected to nature, untethered from the daily grind and the addictive pull of screens and digital noise. We started out with just seven places in 2010 and today we have over 800 treehouses, cabins and unique spaces, located in some of the most staggeringly beautiful spots in the UK and Europe.

Want a luxurious, bijoux hideaway deep in ancient Cumbrian woodlands? We’ve got that. Fancy a spacious, remote fishing lodge with the chance to see otters floating by? We’ve got that too, plus a huge camp with an actual stage and treetop DJ booth. What’s more, eight of our dog-friendly cabins in the Lake District have hot tubs, where you can take in the epic mountain views from a deliciously warm vantage point.

As the leading voice in unique outdoor holidays and a certified B Corp, we make sure every space we work with contributes positively to people and the planet. That’s why you’ll find rewilding projects, sustainable timber, upcycled materials and a whole host of sustainable features in our glamping places. What to do with your dog in the Lake District

Other than going on some of the most glorious walks of your life, there are plenty of other dog-friendly activities in the Lake District. Dogs are welcome at many attractions including Windermere Lake Cruises, Lowther Castle, Brockhole activity centre and on the Haverthwaite steam railway. There’s also an abundance of gastro pubs and restaurants where you can bring well-behaved dogs, including Townhouse.211 in Barrow-in-Furness and Fika in Cockermouth.
