Meet your hosts

Berridon Farm is a small 50 acre family run farm and the cabins are situated in an eight acre field, set into a strip of ancient woodland. David and Jenny bought this field because it borders their lane and decided to put camper in rather than cows. Guests share the field with a flock of chickens (you can help yourselves to eggs). Three large oaks sit in the field and host a few tyre-swings and the treehouse fort!
The farm is on a footpath to Bradworthy village offering a gentle stroll through countryside to buy papers or to the pub. The farmland borders the local Forestry Research Berridon Woods. The North Devon biosphere is a short car ride away. The infrastructure of the cabin field was designed to be low impact on the pasture. The drainage system for the cabins is a bio digester and where possible all waste is recycled or composted. No cars are allowed to drive across the field where the cabins are situated, with wheelbarrows provided for guests to deliver their luggage to their cabin.

Our guests say...
Emily
We were thrilled with our stay at Northcott, it was a stunning cabin with all the amenities we needed. After a long year in Bristol, the quiet and the stars were just what we needed. The cabin is located in a large field with 4 other cabins either side, we thought we would be able to hear each other but couldn't. There are goats, chickens and donkeys to greey you when you arrive and throughout your stay. Our host was brilliant and responded to all of our asks/queries. The communication from Berrington Farm before our stay was also superb, the app that you can download to your phone has an abundance of information to ensure you pack what you need and you know what to expect on your holiday. The hosts have gone above and beyond to ensure you have the best stay possible, and you can tell they have poured a lot of love and time into this incredible location.

29/08/2014David
"We had a lovely break, it was our first family holiday and because our children are very young (2 and 3), we really wanted somewhere fun and easy. The kids had a great time running around the field and they especially loved the animals and the play house. We really appreciated being able to keep an eye on them while allowing them the freedom to play. The 'tents' are set up really thoughtfully, all your wood for the stove is supplied along with matches, candles, all the bedding. You really don't need to bring anything other than your bag and a bit of food."
21/07/2014Cate
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The great weather helped but I think we would have loved it even if the weather had not been so good."

"It was one of the best short breaks in England, ever!Best = having privacy, space, seclusion, flushing toilet, friendly owners, free logs for the burners, free candles for the lamps, clean modern showers. Worst thing = having to pack up and go."
18/04/2014Kirstine
"Fantastic place. Perfect for the Kids. Great accommodation. Great service and definitely good value for money. I would highly recommend."
14/04/2014Colette
"Fantastic! We were met by David and Roger, the lively farm dog and shown into our cabins. Equipped with a gorgeous big wood stove, camp-fire, bbq, cosy rooms and everything and anything we could need (even matches for the candles!) we settled in for our 3 night stay. We surfed on the local beaches, explored the area and had fresh eggs for the chickens. A fantastic place from groups to stay and I can't recommend it enough."

We had a great stay. The weather wasn’t that good which helped confirm the decision to glamp instead of camp! We loved coming home from a day exploring and putting on the wood burning stove, and getting all snuggly. The hot tub was absolutely brilliant and the kids LOVED it - it was great fun. They also loved collecting the fresh eggs for breakfast every morning and going to visit the donkeys. The pizza oven on the first night was excellent and such a lovely fun way to start our stay. The site is very peaceful and a lovely place to stay. It’s in a good location for visiting lots of different beaches and towns. We took our bikes and did quite a few bike rides on the nearby tarka trail. The cabin is cosy but with great storage and having a fridge is super useful. The power shower was amazing and really nice to use after being in the hot tub just to rinse off. David was super friendly and helpful and the 4 days that we stayed felt good value for money.
