Treehouse
Sleeps 2 /
Extra space for 2 children
- 1 double for 2.
Suitable for children of all ages
Not suitable for pets
Overview
Climb six metres up to a peaceful treehouse, overlooking the open lawn of a warm and welcoming family home. The hot tub on the deck gives you somewhere to soak while you admire the long views over wooded hills – interrupted only by a distant château. Inspired by nature, greens, pastels and neutrals make the simply-furnished interior contemporary and relaxing. The central shower at the roof's highest point is plumbed in, like the flushing loo and limestone basin behind a separate sliding door.
On the edge of the village of Eyvigues, it's quiet and homely here, with plenty of space for children to play (two singles unfold for the kids) - and Cathy and Jean-Yves will let you share their family pool below. Breakfast's delivered in a basket on a rope to the high terrace, and excellent 3-course dinner hampers can be hauled up on the pulley too. Otherwise, venture out to local villages to find good local restaurants, pack a picnic for a walk, or borrow the barbecue - a Nespresso machine for fresh morning coffee, and a drinks fridge to chill your evening aperitif, are the limit of your kitchen facilities.
Order Champagne and flowers for a romantic occasion, watch butterflies alight on the oak tree, borrow books or cards from the main house, or ask Cathy, who speaks excellent English, for tips on the beautiful local area, rich in sights and things to do.

We had a wonderful stay at La Cabane with our 4 year old son. He loved hoisting up our breakfast every morning which was full of freshly baked goodies and it was a delight to sit out on the balcony every morning with nothing but trees surrounding us. The treehouse was beautifully decorated, with a super comfy bed. We loved lounging in the hot tub in the evenings too. Our hosts were warm and welcoming with some great recommendations for places to visit and eat. It was a nice touch to be able to use their swimming pool which was a hit for our little boy! Great location near to small towns such as Souillac and Salignac. We visited Rocamadour and Sarlat too which is a must-see. All in all, a superb trip - just wish we’d stayed a little longer! Merci beaucoup!

We loved our stay in the treehouse. It was so peaceful.and relaxing sitting in the hot tub on the deck listening to the birds sing. The place was clean and very comfortable. The highlight was winching up our breakfast in a basket each morning. The breakfast consisted of croissants, bread, preserves, strawberries, yoghurt orange juice & fresh coffee! Delicious. Jean-yves was a delightful & helpful host. I would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed for 3 nights at the beautiful Treehouse in Evyigues.

We had a fantastic time in the beautiful tree house. Cosy luxury and a hot tub in the best spot ever! Lots to see in the local area two nights was not enough. Breakfast was a real experience as well

Great location. Fabulous treehouse with all amenities and amazing views.
24/08/2018Sharon
Stunning location, totally peaceful, great base for exploration. The treehouse is very comfortable, even with 2 children on the sofa bed. The hot tub on the deck provides great entertainment for the kids and adults alike. Jean-Yve’s and Cathy have super recommendations - like where to find the best river canoeing and local restaurants- I could chuck out the lonely planet! (Speaking French is definitely a benefit here) Breakfast pulled up in a basket was a super highlight.

Simply wonderful. A beautifully appointed tree house, finished in every detail, and a delightful place just to chill for three nights and two days. We never left the place all day. It was that good! Tranquil and private, you could feel yourself unwind. Jean and Cathy were wonderful hosts, and hauling up breakfast each morning was such fun!
24/07/2018Roger
The Treehouse was amazing and the hosts were very helpful and tentative.

We all had a wonderful stay. The bed was so comfortable, we left the curtains open at night waking up to look out at a beautiful sunrise every morning. Breakfasts were delicious and such a lovely touch being delivered with a ring of the bed then hoisted up in a basket. The hot tub was the best I've ever experienced, we started and ended each day with a long soak, a blissful view over the woods during the day then excellent colour changing lighting in the bubbles to create a wonderful atmosphere at night. We all wished that we had booked an extra couple of days.

Really peaceful, nicely decorated, the spa is amazing, huge and good breakfast, stunning view over the forest, easy access.
04/06/2017katia
Fantastic, lovely hosts who had no problem talking to us in English. An absolutely stunning location with so much to do in the area. Breakfast was huge and kept us going all day. The cabin itself is beautiful, a total paradise and so well thought out.

A magical romantic hideaway which was a surprise trip for my husbands birthday. We arrived to a warm welcome and tour of the treehouse and then just sat, a little overwhelmed taking in the amazing view & the treehouse itself. After a dip in the shared pool at the main house, we returned to the treehouse and were alerted to our dinner being served by the tinkle of a bell, pulling up 2 baskets on a rope & unloading them to find a delicious home cooked 3 course meal. As the sun set, the stars started twinkling across the vast sky and we settled into the hot tub to enjoy them. A peaceful nights sleep followed, interrupted only by the alarm we'd set for sunrise... which is directly out of the bedroom full length glass doors & well worth stirring for! An excellent breakfast arrived in another basket in the morning, signalling it was time to pack up and hope we will find our way back again one day.

We spent 2 restful nights at La Cabane. the view across the valley of trees was somewhat like looking at a rainforest!! Lovely. Quiet book reading, a few relaxes under the starts in the hot tub, yummy breakfasts, fresh tuna on the barbie, along with a cultural visit to Sarlat and spelendid lunch completed our short stay. All too quickly sadly.

We had the most fantastic stay at La Cabane des Figuiers. The treehouse is set in the most amazing place with a view over the forest. It is so private and relaxing. The beautiful breakfast was delivered to us on a pulley, which the kids loved. The hosts, Jean-Yves and Cathy and their lovely children were so friendly and our children loved playing in the pool with them. We felt so relaxed yet invigorated when we left.

We had three wonderfully relaxing nights. Cathy and John Yves made our stay very special. It rained our first day and Cathy delivered both breakfast and dinner.

"Our stay was absolutely brilliant. Cathy our host was lovely. Family pool was great. The treehouse was absolutely fantastic. Best place to stay ever. It's so private and just perfect space for a romantic stay or brilliant quality family time. It smells of new wood, is mazing inside. The lovely bed looks out over deck, Jacuzzi, then a valley of gorgeous forest. The sun rises here in the morning and so you can just sit in bed watching it rise. The breakfast sent up in the pulley basket was delicious. There is even a BBQ area so you can actually self cater."

"Very rural and a very nice hot tub. The tree house is completely isolated so the privacy is great. The interior is all wood and nicely decorated. Very romantic, the owner made sure to leave us everything we needed so that we would feel confortable right away."

We had a lovely stay here for one night, the treehouse is very comfortable, the view and hot tub lovely and the hosts welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very generous and they lent us crockery and cutlery for us to have dinner. We booked at the last minute and still everything was ready for us and communication good. We would highly recommend. We were 2 adults 2 children and a baby ( which they warned would be tight) but it was perfect for one or two nights, and if there had been less of us it would have been very comfortable for a week.
