Overview
Welcome to a deliciously indulgent paradise in the first treehouse ever to be built on a UK vineyard. Pop open a complementary bottle of chilled, award winning Black Chalk wine – made from grapes growing right in front of the treehouse. Run yourself a bath out on the deck and soak away all your stress as you gaze down at the rows of vines below. The winery is just down the road so why not organise a tasting or a tour, before pushing on to bask in the beauty of the Test Valley, or making your way back to the bath with both kinds of bubbles, followed by a hot drink in front of the wood burner.
The Damselfly Treehouse is a modern, minimalist masterpiece with a pared-back colour palette and understated elegance that gives a taste of the wild in the lap of luxury, for you and your dog if you wish to bring them along. Bathing here is pretty special. There’s an outdoor shower supported by a towering sycamore and a massive copper bath on the deck.
There is a woodfired sauna to book nearby – with wild swimming also available year-round – and subject to availability you can join local truffle hunts (November - beginning of December).

Meet Rory and the Wild Escapes team
Having previously commissioned a treehouse on their own land, in 2018 Rory's family decided to build four more in ancient woodland at Fullerton Farm, near the charming village of Stockbridge. They wanted to allow others to enjoy the simple pleasure of sleeping among the trees and waking up to lovely views, peace, quiet and fresh air. They were designed and built by the renowned treehouse designer, Will Hardy.
Wildlife & the environment
The surrounding area is managed with a passion for biodiversity. Each treehouse is created using sustainable and reclaimed materials. They prove that beautiful design and sympathetic architecture can help to protect and nurture the natural environment. Work continues to ensure that their impact is positive – allowing lucky guests to enjoy the simple beauty and importance of the land.

Absolutely beautiful cabin with wonderful scenery of the surrounding vineyard! The cabin has everything you need and feels like a home away from home - perfect for switching off reconnecting with nature. Lots of walks, eateries and nature activities im the nearby area. Already cant wait to come back again! Thank you so much :)

17/02/2025Elizabeth
With work pressures and life. We needed a chance to relax and unwind. The damselfly was the perfect location. So peaceful and cosy. We will definitely be coming back.
05/02/2025Chris
My partner booked this for us as a surprise birthday getaway, we both enjoy remote stays away in nature so we were excited to see how it went! The treehouse Damselfly was lovely, it's private, really well cleaned and has all the things you could need. Extras were provided (a bottle of wine which was made from the vineyard grapes), bread, eggs, oil, cooking essentials, etc. It was a really comfortable stay, a lovely double bath is available outside which was very pleasant even in the non-ideal weather. We felt safe, comfortable and really do feel like the treehouse lived up to our expectations.
27/01/2025Alex
Amazing stay. Perfect little getaway for the 2 of us and the dog. We stayed for the weekend and the treehouse was stunning.
22/11/2024Marc
Absolutely amazing and had the best time ever
28/10/2024Georgina
It was absolutely wonderful - the cabin was very serene and nicely fitted out. The views out of all the windows were beautiful and taking a bath in the rain was a highlight
11/10/2024Ross
Such a gorgeous place to stay. We loved watching the sunrise over the vineyard, and listening to the sounds of the woodland from the huge bath tub. The interiors were beautiful and feel so well thought out, and the setting felt so peaceful. We could have happily stayed for much longer.
02/10/2024Helen, Canopy & Stars
We loved it! We came in 2022 and stayed in a different treehouse and we loved this one even more! Well appointed, lovely welcome hamper, everything we needed and so cosy/comfortable.
30/08/2024Ruth
Absolutely perfect. If you want a place to unwind and relax, this is the place. Very quiet and peaceful.
10/07/2024Adam
Absolutely loved the treehouse. It lived up to expectations in all regards and was the perfect bolthole after what has been a difficult 12 months. We will undoubtedly book again.
29/05/2024Caroline
We loved it. Peaceful and rural without feeling too far from great pubs and amenities. Twins thought it was a great adventure too
27/05/2024Isabelle
Beautiful treehouse overlooking a vineyard. Very comfortable great combination of all mod cons in a remote setting. Huge windows maximised the treetop feeling in poor weather and lovely sheltered sun trap terrace to enjoy on dry days.
26/02/2024Sarah
Was a great relaxed place to stay for wedding anniversary just before Christmas
20/12/2023Katya
We had a perfect weekend at The Damselfly. Despite the very cold weather we were super warm and snug in the treehouse, and even managed to brave the outdoor bath. The treehouse is beautifully decorated and furnished, and although it feels remote enough that you’re in the middle of nature, the proximity of the local pubs and restaurants was also really useful.
01/12/2023Rhona
The Damselfly Treehouse was beautiful, finished to a high standard, lovely and clean and well equipped and had a generous welcome pack. It's overlooking the vineyard and is in a peaceful location. We easily walked to two local pubs and the winery which was an added bonus.
06/09/2023Nicky
Wonderful! The treehouse was magical and in particular the outdoor bath and shower. Wonderful touches like the gorgeous soap, delicious hamper. It was all so easy too- just turned up and got a key out of the lockbox. It was so peaceful - all you could hear were the birds.
07/06/2023Tanya
We stayed for 2 nights. The tree house was beautifully designed and the setting was perfect. It was the perfect relaxing get away. We will be going again . Also great for dog owners
19/04/2023Jo
We had a wonderful weekend at the Damselfly Treehouse. Everything about the treehouse, its setting and location were perfect for a relaxing weekend away with our dog. The design, fittings and finish of the treehouse are as good as the reviews. Warm, comfortable, cosy with beautiful views in each direction. A perfect welcome hamper with quality local essentials and a few treats for us and the dog. We really enjoyed the local area, numerous walks an d the town of Stockbridge and made the most of the dining recommendations, all of which we would personally recommend based on our experiences. Would really like to visit in the summer to make the most of the outside facilities.
24/03/2023Sharon
Wonderfully peaceful, treehouse beautifully kitted out and easy to stay in.
01/02/2023Lucinda
It was absolutely amazing. In the middle of nowhere overlooking a vineyard..what more could you want! The cleaning facilities lacked a bit as there wasn’t much to clean dishes (other than the dishwasher) or to mop up any spillages on the floor. The treehouse itself was beautiful and elegant for being in a tree. Even better I got engaged in this beautiful place and it was the best possible place!
19/10/2022Steph
The Damselfly Treehouse was the perfect setting for our mini moon. It’s private, beautifully built into the woods and has every comfort you would want for a short stay. Romantic and rustic. Just perfect. We loved the breakfast hamper and the bottle of black chalk fizz that was left for us. You have so much choice for walks, pubs and shops. Sitting on the deck and watching the pickers collecting the grapes was a bonus too. We highly recommend this beautiful treehouse. Communication with the owner Will was easy and efficient. Thanks for the most perfect stay. We’ll be back and recommending to friends and family.
10/10/2022Clare
Our stay was total bliss. All of the touches in the house are well thought out and of beautiful quality. Every angle, wherever you are in the house, the view is beautiful. The smell of the wood or how the light twinkles through the canopy is so spellbinding. Everything is comfortable, easy to use and cosy. The bath was the best bath I’ve had in my life! Huge and lovely and warm and still private. Brilliant wood burner. Lovely places to walk nearby. The hamper was very nice. A really special and magical place we’d love to visit again.
05/10/2022Aprill
We had a wonderful stay in The Damselfly treehouse. Everything about it surpassed expectations. The treehouse itself was more spacious and comfortable than expected. Everything inside has been cleverly designed and considered to create a luxurious and cosy space nestled in the treetops. We liked the treehouse so much we even cancelled our dinner booking in the local town so we could stay in the treehouse and enjoy an evening in.
30/09/2022Luke
We absolutely loved the damselfly treehouse. It was a beautiful cosy base for our stay in Hampshire. We were welcomed by a hamper of local produce (there’s some wonderful places nearby to pick up tasty treats from too!) and had everything we needed to cook a nice meal. The design and craftsmanship of the treehouse is stunning and we loved the big copper tub overlooking the vineyard! Lots of lovely walks in the area and some great recommendations from the hosts, including the local winery tasting room. Finding somewhere so luxurious that is dog friendly is also a big win…our pooch even got his own room!
28/09/2022Maree
Beautiful location and stunning accommodation. We couldn't recommend highly enough and thinking of returning for a shorter break in the Winter.
02/09/2022nicky
Absolutely beautiful, relaxing and complete tranquility
29/08/2022Paula
It was perfect ! We loved the treehouse and the simplicity of it. Completely relaxing.
15/07/2022Amy
Stunning luxury treehouse nestled up on the edge of sloping Hampshire woodlands. Excellent designed space with comfortable bed with attention to detail, especially the many lights. Lovely textures of wood, stone, brass. The outside spaces are safe and secure with wooden decks to every aspect. A great experience living high within the canopy of huge trees which provided shade on a very hot June day. The soft movement of leaves and twittering of birds are peaceful additions to a morning coffee on the front deck. The private bathing deck with big shower head and huge copper bath was the most relaxing ever. Great water pressure/ temperature and perfect way to end or start the day. One couldn't resist enjoying a glass of Black Chalk complementary local sparking wine whilst bathing ‘alfresco’ at dusk. The outside shower was energising ! Damselfly provided us with the perfect mini break from urban life. We + our Jack Russell loved it. We did a local Black Chalk wine Tour and visited The Greyhound pub, Stockbridge which has a tranquil drinks garden by the lush green banks of the River Test. The local smoked trout is very good. We will be back again as so much more to explore.
15/06/2022Veronica
Put simply, it was the perfect way to escape the busyness of everyday life. A beautifully designed treehouse and, not forgetting, the wonderful view of the vineyard. We don't live far from the treehouse so we knew the area already but there are plenty of lovely walks, farmshops and pubs (in particular, the Peat Spade). High recommend - thank you.
07/03/2022Camille
We booked Damselfly for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. This was our first treehouse and although it constantly rained through the trip, the huge outdoor bathtub and cosy log fire meant we had the best time. This was accompanied by a beautiful local hamper left by the owners, which included; coffee, milk, eggs and bread, not forgetting a bottle of the English sparkling wine made from the grapes of the vineyard the treehouse overlooks! A handy guide to the local area was available and also sent to us by email, very handy when we got lost on a hike on the 2nd day. The pub guide was super useful too! A piece of constructive feedback; perhaps a bit more lighting on the path down to the treehouses from the car park. If you’re like us and forgot a torch this would be very useful. All in all, this was a great introduction to treehoyse stays and we’d happily rebook in the summer!
28/02/2022Sarah
We stayed at The Damselfly for Christmas, we got married 2 days before arriving and I can honestly say it was the perfect place to get away and relax. So much thought and effort has gone into creating the Treehouses, they are simply stunning and each one completely unique. The treehouse was well equipped with everything you would need for your stay, there are some lovely walks and pubs surrounding the area. We really did have the most amazing time and would recommend to anyone.
24/12/2021Emma
We had a really wonderful time at the damselfly, would recommend to everyone!
10/11/2021Felicity
We chose to stay here after seeing someone my wife follows on Instagram stay here. We loved the idea of being able to disconnect from the outside world for a couple of days but not be too far from our children who were with Nanny & Grandad back in Surrey.
27/10/2021Nick
We stayed for our honeymoon and loved the private and secluded feel of the treehouse. It was great being right in the middle of the woods.
25/10/2021Amelia
We had a long weekend without the kids to belatedly celebrate my wives 40th birthday. We had a takeaway pizza from the woodfire stockbridge on Friday night, lunch in the Three Cups in on Saturday, dinner in the Peat Spade Inn on Saturday night, wine tasting/canapes at the treehouse Sunday afternoon followed by dinner at the Mayfly on Sunday night. In between all the eating there was lots of walking!
22/10/2021Steve
Had a fantastic birthday stay at the treehouse, information was well provided before my trip including local recommended places to eat etc. We had a private wine tasting and 2 night stay which was fantastic. Loves the privacy, fantastically furnished would definitely stay again!
27/09/2021Bethany
Our stay was absolutely amazing. From the moment we stepped foot in the treehouse it was amazing had everything you could possibly want and need including a doggo bedroom all to himself!! Honestly one of the most romantic beautiful places I’ve ever stayed.
08/09/2021Emma-Louise
Absolutely outstanding. We were able to switch off and relax as soon as we stepped into the treehouse. The welcome goodies were great, we enjoyed the coffee! We had a BBQ every night and loved a long soak in the outdoor copper bath. We were so lucky with the sunshine, that we walked to Stockbridge High Street and then stopped for lunch at the Mayfly pub. The pub is a 20 minute walk from the treehouse and has a lovely garden. We also booked a private wine tour at Black Chalk which was great. We had the best time and we would love to come back!
06/09/2021Sarah
What an incredible place! The treehouse was so thoughtfully designed, with every need catered for - from the amazing huge outdoor bath, the (warm!) outdoor shower, the carts to get stuff from your car, and even all the kitchen and bbq appliances. Comfiest bed I’ve ever slept it and as a bonus the whole place smelled amazing like some sort of woodland spa. Waking up to the beautiful view was a real highlight along with the huge deck outside to really enjoy the woodland location. We absolutely loved it and would definitely come back.
23/08/2021Lauren
It was fantastic! Super chilled with lots to do in the area, the added partnership between wild escapes and the local vinyard made for a fun wine tasting experience and an amazing view from our treehouse! Everything inside was well thought out and to a high standard, which made our time spent there even more comfortable and relaxing!
20/08/2021Chris
Absolutely fantastic stay at the Damselfly Treehouse. The views were amazing and stunning. The huge bedroom windows allowed you to feel like you were sleeping outside, we never closed the curtains. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and lovely. The outside bath!! just awesome. Surround local pubs and high-street were amazing and the locals were so friendly. Brilliant! Best long weekend away we have ever had
06/08/2021Oly
Amazing unique place to chill/ design and location outstanding.
30/06/2021david
We choose the treehouse for a relaxing break in the countryside, which had all home comforts and a touch luxury.
23/06/2021Jason
The treehouse was absolutely beautiful, the standard of craftsmanship and the location were outstanding. We had a wonderful stay and the dog loved it too.
21/06/2021James
What a treat! The treehouse is perfectly formed, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor bath on the balcony, which was tucked away and felt private and surrounded by trees. The floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom made you feel like you were sleeping in the forest and the bed super comfy. We really appreciated the welcome hamper too - so nice to have fresh milk and the bread and (delicious) butter were a perfect snack for the evening we arrived.
18/06/2021Emma
What an incredible staycation. Beautiful setting, gorgeous treehouse. The attention to detail was brilliant. We totally switched off. Have recommended to everyone!
26/05/2021Liz
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Damselfly Treehouse. From the food hamper, furnishings, bedding to the copper bath it was 5 star. So much thought has gone into it. So peaceful and relaxing.

I loved every second of our stay. The treehouse was perfect and had all the amenities we needed. It was in a great location with such a beautiful view and it was so peaceful We loved using the big bath on the balcony overlooking the vineyard and the bbq was great We were able to book a vineyard tour and wine tasting at black chalk wines who run the vineyard where the treehouse is and that just topped off our stay and was lovely When we arrived the check in process was seamless and there was a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge and a hamper on the table with coffee, bread, eggs and fresh butter in the fridge We don’t have a dog but I wish we did to bring to the doggy hotel in our treehouse! A really cute room in the back with a dog bed and water and food bowl

Damselfly is the perfect place to sit back with a glass of bubbly and take in the views of the vineyard whether that be from the deck, comfortable seating area or the huge indulgent bath. I would recommend that everyone takes an outdoor shower under the trees looking out over the sunrise before heading out to explore all that is on offer locally to do and see. The Treehouse was very well equipped and we felt like we had the best of both worlds. A very well designed and special space inside with special views looking out over the grazing farm animals and vines.

With work pressures and life. We needed a chance to relax and unwind. The damselfly was the perfect location. So peaceful and cosy. We will definitely be coming back.

It was absolutely wonderful - the cabin was very serene and nicely fitted out. The views out of all the windows were beautiful and taking a bath in the rain was a highlight

Such a gorgeous place to stay. We loved watching the sunrise over the vineyard, and listening to the sounds of the woodland from the huge bath tub. The interiors were beautiful and feel so well thought out, and the setting felt so peaceful. We could have happily stayed for much longer.

We loved it! We came in 2022 and stayed in a different treehouse and we loved this one even more! Well appointed, lovely welcome hamper, everything we needed and so cosy/comfortable.

Absolutely loved the treehouse. It lived up to expectations in all regards and was the perfect bolthole after what has been a difficult 12 months. We will undoubtedly book again.

Was a great relaxed place to stay for wedding anniversary just before Christmas

We had a perfect weekend at The Damselfly. Despite the very cold weather we were super warm and snug in the treehouse, and even managed to brave the outdoor bath. The treehouse is beautifully decorated and furnished, and although it feels remote enough that you’re in the middle of nature, the proximity of the local pubs and restaurants was also really useful.

The Damselfly Treehouse was beautiful, finished to a high standard, lovely and clean and well equipped and had a generous welcome pack. It's overlooking the vineyard and is in a peaceful location. We easily walked to two local pubs and the winery which was an added bonus.

Wonderful! The treehouse was magical and in particular the outdoor bath and shower. Wonderful touches like the gorgeous soap, delicious hamper. It was all so easy too- just turned up and got a key out of the lockbox. It was so peaceful - all you could hear were the birds.

We stayed for 2 nights. The tree house was beautifully designed and the setting was perfect. It was the perfect relaxing get away. We will be going again . Also great for dog owners

Beautiful location and stunning accommodation. We couldn't recommend highly enough and thinking of returning for a shorter break in the Winter.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. From the moment we stepped foot in the treehouse it was amazing had everything you could possibly want and need including a doggo bedroom all to himself!! Honestly one of the most romantic beautiful places I’ve ever stayed.
