Overview
Staying at Lost Meadow Treepod means quite literally living in the forest for a few days, thanks to your suspended bedroom that hangs among the branches. It’s a wild experience, feeling at one with nature whilst curled up and cosy in your small, dark space when the chill of surrounding night air kicks in. In the morning you climb down the steps, there is a spring fed off grid shower and composting toilet below the pod alongside the field kitchen. If you tread quietly you might see the deer out grazing as you go or kingfishers hunting on the stream that runs right past the treepod. Beside the stream is a fire circle and BBQ, so you can get adventurous with breakfast if you like, or just make a quick cup of coffee and get going with a day exploring Cornwall.
It’s a peaceful spot with 14 acres around you shared only with a few other guests in far-off parts of the land. You have the river to fish or bathe in, but also the expanse of Bodmin Moor in one direction and the sea in the other, surrounding you with all kinds of adventure, from canoeing on the Fowey to heading to the gentler pleasures of quiet villages like Lostwithiel. In the evening, a walk to the local pub gives you a taste of civilisation if you don’t feel like wild cheffing, then it’s time to turn the torches on and pick your way through the woods to your wild, spherical nest.

Meet Jon and Nikki
Your hosts Jon & Nikki Broom have over 30 years experience in luxury hotels and resorts, and they couldn’t believe their luck when they got the opportunity to purchase WILDish Cornwall! As snowboard enthusiasts it was even better when they discovered that their accommodation would be a Canadian log cabin, something they had dreamed might be home one day, it even had a summer house for Nikki to turn into her new pottery studio.
The Lost Meadow Tree Pod represents the start of the new life and they couldn’t be happier, in fact, they have been pinching themselves ever since they moved in at the end of May 2021 with their 2 whippets Jasper and Sidney. Watch this space they have plans to develop a few more Wildish cabins on the site in future.
Wildlife & Environment
The whole 14 acres falls within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Site of Special Scientific Interest. You'll probably see Roe deer, buzzards are always wheeling overhead, and badgers and foxes live in the woods too. Dippers, kingfishers and even the occasional otter can be seen on the river.
The whole tree tent structure has been designed using sustainable, recyclable, recycled and natural materials, with minimal, non-permanent impact on the woodland - the cables are attached to the trees with minimal damage to the tree's cambium layer, and the pod has no impact on the woodland floor. The battery power for the tree pod and the electricity for the toilet/shower block both come from a Solar PV array on the main house.

Just what we were looking for, absolute bliss and serenity after a hectic summer. The tree pod cosy and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The hot shower from the spring was lush and the compostable loo was the nicest we’ve ever used. Jon was a wonderful host, who left us to enjoy our private piece of stunning woodland to ourselves. But always on the end of a text if needed. Will 100% be returning in the future to once again enjoy the tranquility of the lost meadow tree pod.

3 night stay with my 16 year old post exams. Lost meadow treepod was amazing. From a very cool pod to sleep in up in the trees to the well thought out camp kitchen, bathroom with hot shower to the campfire and BBQ area. The woodland was so peaceful and you woke to the sound of the river. Amazing place

Our stay was absolutely incredible! We were so relaxed and everything about it was just perfect.
16/06/2024Heaven
The treepod stay was magical. The setup is so well equipped, the kitchen and bathroom were much nicer than we expected. It's the perfect amount of secluded - you are truly alone at the end of the property - with enough proximity to the owners to feel safe if ever needed.
12/04/2024Sofia
We had a glorious time staying at the treepod. Jon was so helpful and made our stay really magical.

We had such a fantastic stay. In the middle of the woods sits the incredible tree pod. I have never seen anything like this, totally incredible. The river next to the pod was perfect for cold water swims which we loved and warmed up with an outdoor fire. The indoor log burner is perfect for warming up too. The local pub London inn is not far away and serves fabulous Sunday roast lunch. Jon is a fabulous host and we can’t reccommend this place enough. Can’t wait to go back and stay again.

It was fantastic, we had everything we needed and the host was great ! Superb location with plenty to see and explore
03/08/2023Andrei
Our stay was amazing, the hosts were so welcoming on arrival and throughout; the pod was so cosy meaning the rain didn’t put a dampener on the experience! Would 100% recommend to anyone.

We spent 2 wonderful nights at the treepod (or the Bee Hive as we have been calling it). Jon was a wonderful host throughout our stay. Firstly he showed us all the various facilities at the treepod and gave us clear explanations as to how to use everything. Considering that this was our first experience of this type, we found this very helpful. The area around the treepod is absolutely magnificent. It is secluded enough to allow you to reconnect with nature. The river running so close to the location really gave it a special feeling and my partner and I would find ourselves just sitting down, having food near the fire and marvelling at the simple effect that nature had on our peace of mind. The pod itself is very conformable and cosy with sufficient space for two people to sleep. You can also make a fire inside which will keep it both warm and offer a story like ambience. We would recommend that you get yourself a torch as at night you may need to use that if you want to go to the kitchen or to the toilet as it extremely dark (as you would expect from a a place in the forest). Overall we were extremely happy with the accommodation and would recommend it
29/07/2023Silvia
Wonderful site, the woodland surrounding the treehouse with private river was stunning. Treehouse really cute and the functional kitchen and shower/toilet were great. Very secluded and private.
07/07/2023Vicki
Fantastic weekend, beautiful place
16/06/2023Penny
A lovely glamp amongst nature and next to a beautiful river, a real switch off from the hustle and bustle of life. Everything we needed, well kept and everything we needed. We made the most of the camp fire pit during the evening.
30/05/2023Alison
We loved our stay at the Lost Meadow Treepod. The place was just magical and our stay there an unforgettable experience. The location of the treepod, just next to the river, makes you feel completely connected to nature and disconnected from the world. Jon & Nikki are very friendly hosts. I highly recommend this natureescape to everyone!
27/05/2023Francesca
I had a fantastic stay. Wildish was quiet and peaceful, just what I wanted. Everything I needed in terms of equipment was there at hand and it was great to be able to wander the woods and to sit by your very own camp fire on an evening, before falling asleep to the sounds of the nearby river - I tried a dip in the river, way too cold for me!! The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely book again.
21/05/2023Sam
My stay at the Treepod was wonderful! So cozy, private, and unique. Nikki and Jon were great.
04/05/2023Irene
This was the perfect antidote to stress. The owner, Jon, was friendly, informative and understanding of my needs. The location is idyllic for being immersed in nature, with the treepod set in woodland and the river just metres away. The wood burner in the treepod worked well for boosting the temperature on cold evenings, and the field kitchen, hot shower and composting toilet provide great additional facilities. With only the treepod and two land pods on the large site (and the treepod being in its own area of woodland) it is very secluded and peaceful. This venue is a gem.
03/04/2023Neil
A fantastic, wonderful and unique location, Where do I begin with this tree pod, Myself and my partner turned up not knowing what to expect being our first treehouse we stayed in, every second was fantastic, the owners were lovely and very welcoming providing us with everything we needed for the days we were there. All facilities we fantastic making the use of a spring fed shower, compost toilet and wood burner making every part as eco friendly as possible, The nature around the area was fantastic too with squirrels and deer to wake up to in the mornings if we were quiet enough, also the river was nice to have a dip in, even if it was a little chilly, I would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in something unique and different
10/03/2023Reuben
Fantastic back to nature experience, hosts where excellent informative, and very welcoming. Tree pod was brilliant, cosy when the small log burner is fired up,peaceful beautiful surroundings. Cooking facilities are limited but just takes a bit of “plate spinning “ and forward planning (there isn’t much in the way of local shops)this suited us perfectly as we wanted to get away from the crowds. My suggestion would be take a good book and a bottle or two of wine light the fire and slowly unwind couldn’t recommend this break more relaxing,de-stressing perfection.
18/02/2023Iain
Absolutely beautiful
04/11/2022Georgia
The tree pod was everything we had hoped for. Secluded, private and surrounded by nature. We swam in the stream and walked in the woods and not even the rain could dampen the mood.
21/10/2022William
A very relaxing and beautiful place to stay, just what we needed. Would absolutely recommend, everything you need is there and we were well looked after by Jon. Some amazing local walks for a day out and the other days we were happy just chilling by the stream. Can't wait to get back there already.
15/09/2022Anna
A wonderful relaxing retreat, couldn't ask for more beautiful and peaceful surroundings. It's all self contained so you need not leave if you don't want to. However, there are also some lovely walks both through the woods and surrounding villages and up onto moors.
21/08/2022Alice
Wow, what can I say, what a beautiful setting, the photos I looked at on the website do not give it justice. In reality it’s 10 times better, I think I will give them some of the photos I have taken of the area and the tree house pod. We had an amazing time and definitely recommend. The hosts were brilliant and very helpful. Thanks for the memories guys!
17/08/2022Shane
We had the most amazing time in the treepod. The whole setting is like a fairytale. It literally surpassed any expectation we had. We were able to immerse ourselves in the sounds and feeling of the place - you can’t help but feel at peace. The facilities were fantastic. The garden kitchen was amazing as is the outdoor shower. To stand in the shower and take in the surroundings is one of the most perfect things I have done! The pod itself is cosy and comfortable. This really was the most perfect stay - we couldn’t have asked for anything more. A real piece of heaven. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
12/08/2022Jo
This was all of the best things about camping without any of the bad bits. Really enjoyed the location, privacy, accommodation and hosts. There was a clear attention to detail and the location was perfect.
03/08/2022Matthew
We went to the Lost Meadow Treepod to escape the busy London city life for a couple of days. We went with the train from London Paddington directly to Bodmin Parkway, where we were picked up by a local taxis (Jon's contact). We had a great 3 days in the forest and were really able to recharge. Deep in nature the only sounds you hear is the rive, the wind, and the animals. The area itself is very beautiful and scenic, with a number of footpaths to enjoy. Nikki and Jon are nice and welcoming hosts.
15/07/2022Dia
Delightful location in a deciduous wood, shame to have missed the bluebells which must be magnificent. Charming stream just adjacent with chairs, a fire pit and barbecue. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and had recommendations of walks from the door or further afield. The hot water shower and basin were a real treat!
22/06/2022Paul
Brilliant place, really friendly hosts. Such a cool and unique place to stay
10/06/2022Jamie
Fantastic location with everything you could ever need. We had a wonderful few days for our honeymoon staying in the Treepod and would love to return one day!
06/06/2022Katherine
Our stay in the Lost Meadow Tree Pod was amazing. We are not easily surprised, but the whole experience definitely exceeded our expectations. The site is beautiful, secluded and quite serene - great for couple seeking some time away from the hustle and bustle. The facilities are top notch, and the spring fed shower is a really nice touch. The pod itself is very striking and is very cosy. We were feeling brave and also went for a dip in the river spring one afternoon too! Jon and Nikki are really friendly and obviously put a lot of care and attention into everything they do!
29/05/2022Robert
A really magical experience to sleep in a pod hanging amongst the trees! When I woke up all I could see were green leaves from my window and hear the birds and the river flowing! I really enjoyed the simplicity of this space, spending my time camp cooking, wandering through the bluebells, lazing by the river and keeping toasty warm by the firepit at night. This was truly something quite different and one of a kind that made me feel connected to the nature around me, not to mention the warm private shower surrounding by trees was an absolute treat!
12/05/2022Helen
My stay was just the most perfect, magical weekend that I could ever have asked for. The owners Jon and Nikki were very welcoming and friendly - the perfect hosts. They show passion for what they believe in such as providing an unique place for people to submerge themselves totally into nature. The Treepod which I stayed in was very well equipped with everything that you could ask for in a stay such as this - perfect heated shower, composting toilet, and a kitchen with a little gas stove, all the utensils you need and a place for food (kept cool with ice blocks that you can freeze in a container not more than five minutes walk). There’s a well maintenance fire pit for all the marshmallows that you need to toast and also a grill for any cooking on an open fire. The Treepod itself, was very comfortable and despite what it looks it is actual got as much space that you would ever need. The owners have placed games such as scrabble, chess and a pack of cards for anyone who would like to use. The maps there were useful also. I had the best nights sleep on my three nights spent there. You can relax around the Treepod, spot wildlife or there are a few little walks to enjoy.
29/04/2022Rachel
We had a lovely stay in the Treepod for 3 nights, we were very lucky with the weather, but we had the wood burner for the chilly evenings. It was in a lovely area of Cornwall, so it was easy to do some sightseeing. The amenities were great , Jon had built a new shower block fed by fresh water and a compost loo, for sole use. The kitchen area had everything we needed. Really enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings round the log fire. Jon and Nikki were lovely hosts.
18/04/2022Pamela
Absolutely loved the tree pod! We were looking for something different for our honeymoon as we come to Cornwall a lot and we certainly found it! Amazing place in the middle of nowhere with a bbq pit and surprisingly a lot more room inside than we first anticipated Thought it was fantastic! Thanks so much
29/09/2021Caroline
What a beautiful treepod, hidden in the middle of nature. A true one off experience. John was lovely and friendly, but left us to it aswell. Got a cute lino print card welcoming us.
06/09/2021Holly
Amazing stay in the treepod. The firepit in surrounding woods, next to the river was a really nice touch. Owners seemed very friendly. Secure parking available too. Really enjoyed it!
30/08/2021Jess
Absolutely wonderful. Jon and nikki were the best hosts. Nothing too much trouble. The pod and surroundings were bliss. Lovely brook running through next to a campfire. Nothing but peace and quiet! A perfect few days
21/08/2021Vanessa
Me and my partner stayed for 2 nights in this Treepod, and what an absolutely wonderful experience it was. Jon and Nikki's hospitality was above and beyond - they provided literally everything we needed for a comfortable stay apart from the food itself. Including places to cook, all pots pans and cuttlerfy, clean towels and toiletries, firewood and lighters, duvets, and pillows. We felt like we had a forest to ourselves, including a private stream! It was a perfect mixture of feeling 'in the wild', whilst also feeding completed safe and comfortable. We enjoyed going to bed to the sound of the Tawny Owls and waking up to the birds and seeing passing Deer in the morning. The toilet and shower block is a bit of a walk away, but it all added to the fun and wildness (because there's nothing like peeing in the woods at 2am!). Absolutely would stay again and would recommend to anyone. Thanks to Jon and Nikki! This was the best place we've ever stayed.
12/08/2021Jamie
The host was incredible helpful and settled us in as soon as we arrived. We had everything we needed and more to make our stay as special as possible, and the treepod was absolutely beautiful, both inside and the surrounding area. One of the best experiences we’ve had, and we’d love to come back!
03/08/2021Cameron
We stayed two nights in this beautiful treepod and it couldn’t have been lovelier! You felt as though you were away from the world and free to immerse yourself in peaceful woodland. The hosts were lovely too.. as were the dogs! It’s made us both want a treepod in our garden now.
13/07/2021Amelie
Absolutely wonderful! The pictures do not do the Treepod or the surrounding woodland enough justice, and cannot capture the feel of the place either. It was wonderfully peaceful, and felt incredibly remote but with enough luxuries for it to feel very relaxing (wonderful clean shower block and all the camping necessaties one could think of). Jon and Nikki were wonderful hosts and added to the whole experience
27/06/2021Rebecca
We had a Amazing couple of nights at Lost Meadow Treepod. My partner and I got to spend quality time together and have a memory that will last a life time! It was easy to find following google maps and the owners were very welcoming. A trolley was provided to load up and take out bags etc to the treepod. We brought our own sleeping bags but also used the duvets provided, we was very warm and cosy during the night and slept well. Cooking utensils and gas stove were also provided. We really enjoyed cooking outside.

Such a wonderful place to stay. Nikki and Jon are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The little tree house and kitchen have all you need and it was so clean. Cant wait to go back
19/06/2021Abi
We did nothing which was bliss! Cooked on the fire, read books in the meadow, swam in the river, Slept late
15/06/2021Elizabeth
The treepod and location were both beautiful, we had a wonderful stay! The whole trip was so private and relaxing. We loved the location by the stream and got so lucky with sunny weather and little flowers in bloom throughout the forest. We had so much fun cooking directly over the campfire and walking around the area.
20/04/2021Jen
Loved the secluded tree pod as so private and away from it all. Everything provided that we needed and so cosy and warm with the wood burner. My daughter and I had such a lot of fun overcoming the challenges of roughing it (no electricity etc) and quality time playing board games. As we stayed over the Halloween period it was spooky in a fun way! A real back to nature fun break. Thank you!

Me and my 5 year old son had an amazing stay. The memories will last us a lifetime. We felt close to nature and loved the gentle rocking movement at night. I haven’t slept so well in years!
17/10/2020Abi
This was such a great stay. The treepod is brilliant. It was a "bit different" to stay in the treepod. We loved every minute of it. It was for my partner's 30th birthday and she absolutely loved it.
22/09/2020Liam
We had an amazing stay at the Lost Meadow Treepod. The land around the area is absolutely breathtaking. There was so much privacy and room to explore.
20/09/2020Alexandra
Apart from the rain, everything else was lovely. Me and my friend really had a good time. It was a nice escape not only from the toxicity of living in a city, but from the internet as well. Also, the stream water was really nice. We had such a lovely time that we each made a video of our experience. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JSUS27tfxzw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=buZdSbMz1z0

Lovely treepod in a secluded forest. Very enjoyable.
05/08/2020Jennifer
This was without a doubt the most brilliant and awesome holiday I have ever been on!! The pod itself is just so enchanting and surprisingly spacious, even with the beds folded out. The beds were incredibly comfy and wide enough to not spend the entire night worrying about falling off! The location of the pod is just magical; right next to the river, surrounded by trees, it is like you are in a Disney movie! The kitchen hut is also perfect, with gas top hobs, a freshly filled water tank, and “dry” storage boxes (which the mice cannot get into!) that double up as storage for plates and cups and we stored food in there too! There are plenty of places to explore or just relax to the sound of the river. We loved the fact that we could cook dinner and then eat next to the river, it was just so serene! And there is also plenty of opportunities to see some wild life, from birds and butterflies to deer and pheasants! It truly was a brilliant holiday and I most definitely recommend it to anyone considering staying here!
27/07/2020Elizabeth
We had the most magical stay in this beautiful Tree Pod. The building itself was amazing and so well maintained. The kitchen shed was clean and tidy and had everything you would need. We loved that we were completely alone in our own little section of ancient woodland and the stunning stream that runs through it.
23/07/2020Toni
Amazing experience for anyone who loves nature and the outdoors.
04/07/2020Kathrin
I booked the treepod as a birthday present for my best friend we both loved it and a had an amazing stay in this magical place. Would recommend it to everyone.
05/10/2019Elita
Beautiful peaceful location. Cut off from immediate busyness but close enough to people if need be
19/08/2019Debbie
It’s unique, remote and surrounded by beautiful beaches we had an amazing experience of living in the woods.
23/07/2019Treena
We had a really good stay at the tree pod. There is no noise, except of the river and it’s perfect to switch off from everyday life. It would be great to have a little light or even better, fairy lights as it gets dark very early in the forest. Breakfast was delicious and it’s nice to cook it ourselves.
12/07/2019Flore
Unbelievable, even better than we'd hoped. Fantastic location, peace and quiet, privacy, beautiful river, quirky pod in the trees. We were able to have a fire to sit by and cook with and the bonus of being able to walk to a local pub for a superb Sunday roast. It was absolutely fantastic.
29/06/2019Carole
Beautiful location. Very relaxed and total shut down lovely
12/04/2019Tim
Hello, I was doing a weekend of meditation, prayer, alone time and a 3 day water fast only and needed a beautiful place to myself... it was perfect, safe, secluded but only 5 minute walk from owners... i am proper pleased with my stay thank you
11/10/2018Jeffrey
We had a lovely stay in the Tree Pod. The forest, stream and beautiful night sky were so relaxing. We loved sitting by the fire and the breakfast packs that we pre-ordered were delicious and great fun to cook on the little stove! In the day time we walked on Bodmin Moor and also to a nearby pub for a nice lunch. Both great reccs from our very welcoming hosts!
28/09/2018Janine
Beyond any expectations!
14/09/2018Nick
The treepod exceeded all our expectations! It was comfortable, the facilities were basic. But abaolutely serviceable and met all our requirements The location was indescribably beautiful and the owners left us to our own devices for our stay. The solitude was delightful. We swam in the river (a kingfisher flew by us which was a highlight). In the evenings we sat by the fire and listened to the owls. We came back refreshed and ready for anything! It was our perfect break away from day to day life!
23/07/2018Serena
a place to regenerate the body and soul - really unique designed tree pod in a beautiful location. Really enjoyed getting away from technology, and having the time and place to talk, play in the babbling brook, sit round the camp fire, drinking lashes of tea and getting back to basics. Pod is comfortable and cosy.
12/07/2018Yvonne
I spent 4 nights in this hanging treepod. It was like being in another world, no phone, no interbet and no concept of time as I don't wear a watch. My time was measured in sunlight and birdsong. Cooking on the campfire next to the ruver was a major highlight. And night time in the pod is amazing - so many outside sounds and so many stars to see. Loved the little wood burner for coziness although I never felt cold at all.
03/05/2018Kerry
Amazing! Loved our stay here. Was a lovely weekend. The location is superb! We had complete privacy for our whole stay, which was lovely - great to get away from everything. Was amazing to be able to eat by the river & watch the sun come through the trees. Had great fun building a fire, using wood we foraged in the area. Even though it had rained - a lot!, we still managed to get a good fire going - perfect for potatoes & marshmallows! Lovely walks in the area & it's also in a good location to drive places for day trips. Everything you need is on site & the log fire in the pod was fab on cold days & nights. Would certainly return as we had such a lovely holiday!
06/04/2018Kris
We spent 2 nights in the treepod to celebrate a 30th Birthday and that wasn't long enough. The woodland we stayed in was beautiful and we were lucky enough to get some sunshine. The facilities were brilliant and we slept very well in the treepod. We managed to walk and explore some of the nearby area but there was more we could have done.
02/04/2018Claire
Lovely tree pod. Well equipped beautiful location
11/03/2018Tara
We booked late in the year when many other venues were closed. The wood burner kept us snug during the cold nights and also warmed our foil wrapped pasties, samosas and steam pudding. A very peaceful, relaxing vacation. A holiday destination that we will definitely return to
13/11/2017Jason
It was incredible! A tranquil spot that makes you feel like you're a million miles from anyone! We got engaged next to the river on a sunny October evening in front of the campfire- perfect! And there was a bottle of champagne chilling in the river!
06/10/2017Sarah
This was our 52nd Wedding Anniversary and we are in our mid-seventies so we did have a few reservations. However, apart from the weather, it was all great fun and a unique experience which we will never forget. Our friends were in the Gypsy Caravan nearby so we had good company and a fun time. Thank you.
04/09/2017Robin
Had a lovely relaxing stay at the tree pod. There was no phone signal or internet we were in the middle of no where so perfect for us to be able to switch off and unwind fully
18/07/2017Michelle
Perfect surroundings, everything we needed to hand. I can't say how much I enjoyed the experience
02/07/2017Sue
It defiantly exceeded expectations, I booked the tree pod for my husbands Christmas gift as his obsessed with the treehouse programme. It was ideal in every way, relaxing and calm with everything you need. The owners are very welcoming and easy to get on with. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone looking for a break to get away, one of our best trips so far and we will be returning
14/04/2017Aisha
It was an amazing space in an amazing location! Really enjoyed our weekend away!
31/03/2017Charlotte
This was a perfect little get away! It is a little tricky to find, but once you are there it is perfect. The pod is in the middle of the woods well away from prying eyes, you are situated 20 yards away from a beautiful river with so much forest to go and explore. Ed and Jitka were very accommodating and friendly. The pod comes with a kitchen area with all the utensils provided and there is also a fire pit to have a BBQ on. This was an amazing experience that I will remember for years to come
20/03/2017Benjamin
Lovely location, fun quirky accomodation, everything we wanted and needed
10/03/2017Helen
We really enjoyed our stay disputed the relentless rain. The treepod was perfectly equipped for everything we needed from wood to light the fires, to small touches like the tea lights and board games.
06/01/2017Lisa
The best weekend ever! This is such a special place, my son (6) and I explored the woods, made dens, paddled in a little stream, walked past wild horses, told stories and toasted marshmallows over a camp fire. The stars were amazing and the tree pod was warm and cozy - what an awesome invention! We will remember this trip forever, cannot recommend it highly enough!
25/11/2016Catherine
A truly magical stay! The treepod in itself makes for a memory we'll never forget. Add to that the location being set in your own private woodland with a river 20 meters from the pod, makes a beautifully unique experience. Not even a storm that blew and rained its way through the wood could dampen the stay. The only thing I would say is pack light and pack some ear plugs if your a light sleeper.
18/11/2016Craig
Our stay was truly magical and wonderful to reconnect with nature and get back to nature. The owners of the treepod were so friendly and welcoming. I'd highly recommend the treepod to anyone!
17/10/2016Jody
Beautiful, secluded, in the middle of nature, but so cosy without going too primitive. A real gem of a place.
13/09/2016Vanessa
We'd been excited about staying at the Treepod since we first saw it on the site - after not having a holiday for a very long time - we were looking for a complete escape. Definitely got that at Lost Meadow! Welcomed by Jitka we were entranced by the whole place, wood and pod. Felt like kids on an adventure. I actually felt a bit emotional at the beauty of it all. Impressed by the Treepod and facilities - away from it all but comfortable - the kitchen shed and shower room - with everything we needed, we relaxed excessively, watched the light change through the trees, cooked on the fire and just felt brilliant. We were lucky with the weather, just rain in the night on our second evening. The first night had been filled with bright stars. The river noise our soundtrack except for the birds in the morning and at dusk. We had a good walk through the countyside to St Neots, pretty place with a friendly pub just a shame they had run out of spuds in the local shop as I wanted to do them on the fire! The Treepod felt like home very quickly, beautiful from every angle with the staircase made of branches and Nature Tardis feel - brilliant. We both loved the place. Only took 3000 photos!
06/09/2016Kate
The owners of the site were lovely and very welcoming; they made a point of making sure that there was someone there when we said we'd be arriving and he showed us to the accommodating making sure we knew where everything was and how it worked. The accommodation was what we expected because of the way we had been informed in advance. We were a little unsure about the process for check out but felt wed followed instructions OK. The treehouse was well equipped and there was more provided than expected so our stay was comfortable and even on a rainy day we were very happy. We had a really lovely time and my son said, 'It was the best treat ever'! I personally enjoyed the tranquility and 'no service' meant a proper rest from the world and work and I was able to switch off and relax properly. I enjoyed the peace and quiet immensely and really enjoyed some time being at one with nature.
29/08/2016Deborah
Really friendly hosts. Had everything we needed for a good stay. The information sent for our stay , directions and area info was all clear and detailed. The surrounding and settings for tree pod were more than expected and the seclusion made the trip. Loved it will stay again.
25/07/2016Vick
Great place to slow the pace. Showers and toilets were spotless. Lovely natural and unusual getaway. Not far from Charleston for relaxing day trip. Unwind in the woods away from modern life.
29/03/2016Andrew
The Treepod was fantastic! Everything is very well thought out and it's bigger than it looks in pictures. The woodburner means it is warm and cosy and we had a great time around the campfire with friends who were staying in the Wagon.
25/03/2016Sarah
We had an amazing time. The host was very welcoming and everything was so well thought through. We lit the fire in the firepit and felt that we were in our own little world with just the sound of the crackling logs, the birds in the trees and the babbling river. The treepod was beautiful with it's wooden cladding and we never got tired of sitting at the fire and looking at it - like a piece of sculpture.
18/03/2016Catharine
It was the most AMAZING experience and Honeymoon we could of gone to. Absolutely stunning, cut ourselves off from the modern world, no distractions just me and my husband and some fun board games, a cosy log burner, lots of nibbles and the wilderness and stars by night.
05/03/2016Mei-Ling
We had a lovely holiday for three days in half term, staying in the tree pod. Weather soggy and chilly but woodburning stove worked like a dream.
17/02/2016Jen
Perfect getaway. Cosy, warm and a lovely setting. Highly recommend lost meadow if you want a break from the city!
29/01/2016Torsten
Absolutely fantastic. Everything we needed for a Christmas weekend break. Exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Fantastic location, beautiful pod and wonderful atmosphere, even in rainy December. We will definitely be coming back soon!
19/12/2015Kelli
We spent two nights in the Lost Meadow Treepod. The treehouse itself was fantastic and looked amazing and we had a lovely time camping out, cooking dinner on the bonfire and exploring the countryside.
28/09/2015Cat
An amazing stay!, it was a surprise for the family and they loved it,definitely will be going next year -a unique opportunity to enjoy our cornwall at its best. loved our freshly baked bread, playing in the stream and having hot chocolate by the fire-perfect.
31/08/2015amanda
The Treepod is a magical get away retreat from it all. If you love nature and have a deep connection to the outdoors this place is a must. The secluded setting in the forest with the river give it a uniqueness and the ability to relax in nature. Rich in birds, butterflies, dragon flies, badgers, rabbits and buzzards- what bliss! The pod is well kitted out, its more roomy than the pictures show and we were very comfortable, we didnt use the burner but thought it would have made the pod ultra cosy on colder nights. The kitchen has what you need for outdoor camping, we enjoyed making a bbq and churning out a rather splendid goan chicken curry. Days were spent lolling by the river having a glass of prosecco after walking a little to watch birds and river wildlife. Evenings were spent cosy on the riverbank next to our fire pit with many glasses of someting chilled. Our only regret was that we should have stayed longer than 2nights!! The shower area and kitchen utilities are clean and sufficient and there were some lovely hand made cards of the meadow which we purchased. Fresh eggs were also for sale. Loved the experience and are thinking of a return visit in spring :-)
15/08/2015rachel
A beautiful, relaxed stay in a wonderful location. You can do as much or as little as you wish and still have an amazing time
03/08/2015Holly
Stayed in the treepod for 2 nights with my 3 year old daughter. Her first time camping, but definitely not her last. Comfortable beds and more space than you would think, a small kitchen area underneath. The campfire area & BBQ were good, nice spot next to the stream. Wash facilities were a ten minute walk away which was no problem for us and the shared fridge was a good, though could be larger. The area was nice and the pod looks great, a steep little stairway to the doorway and then you are inside. The wood burner was a nice touch and we ended up using it overnight as it got a bit nippy, we forgot to bring blankets so just used the provided sleeping bags which were good quality. There are ponies nearby if you want to see those and a large morrisons in Bodmin if you need supplies, about 20 minutes drive and a decent pub about ten minutes away from the site if you don't want to cook. I'd stay again and she definitely would, there is no mobile reception down at the pod which could be a problem for some but signal is good by the washroom where the plugs are anyway. Perhaps bring one of those portable chargers if you really need your phone.
29/07/2015Paul
Just as good as last time, we booked this on the knowledge it was relaxing , fun and away from normality, you get a sense of freedom and tranquility with this stay, by far the best stay and treepod I've ever stayed in. BBQ at the ready you can have total piece and quiet and enjoy just the sounds of the little canal and birds in the trees, the pod has everything you need and nothing has been forgotten about when building this gem of a treepod because weather you want to walk, fish or even relax the options are endless here. The beds are comfortable and the owners are very friendly and are the end of the phone if you get lost trying to find Bodmin Moore :) Great walk if anyone decides it's for them. My only regret like last time is that 2 nights is just not enough and could easily stay for a week!! Thanks jitka and ED for an amazing stay and we both look forward to coming back and staying again :)
11/05/2015Tom
Our stay was wonderful. We were given a tour of the place with all the info we would need for our stay and we were then left to our own devices. It was an extremely relaxing couple of days and we had a great time. Getting to see the stars from our beds was definitely a highlight, as was the little wood burner to make it cosy and warm at night.
17/03/2015Ella
A real surprise to see the lost tree tent hidden away in the trees: an Idyllic location. Lovely to hear the stream while inside and cosy warm. Pity about the rain, but making coffee and snacks to take inside the tree tent gave us a real feel to English camping. An enjoyable stay. Thank you
18/02/2015Helen
"A perfect getaway to spend quality time together on a special occasion."
22/08/2014Amy
"Short answer YES! Put it down to things like the peace and quiet, the unusual exclusivity, the quirky design etc. the fire pit and the running stream provided a varied temperature throughout the stay which although sounds like an odd thing to stay, that kind of sensation really makes you feel alive...like raindrops on your face. Obviously in our case if was the warmth of the fire on our faces and the cold water travelling up our legs as we paddled deeper into the stream :)"
11/08/2014Jemma
"We had a fantastic time a at the Lost Meadow Tree Tent! It is in such a beautiful setting, the tree tent itself is amazing, the beds are simple but we've never slept so well and the facilities were more than expected! Loved the campfire being right next to the river, so tranquil."
09/07/2014Jess
"We had a wonderful time, a real retreat - a tree tent in the woods by a stream. Peace on earth."
18/06/2014Alison
"Loved it, great experience. The facilities were great and great value for money for such a unique experience."
24/04/2014Leeanne
"The best thing about the tree tent was its location, peace and quiet, no internet, back to nature, outside cooking and the hosts. The shower and toilet were in a nice block but were a little too far away. A composting toilet nearer to the tent would be good."
13/04/2014Donna
"We had a great time and will re-visit again in the summer. [Best thing was] being out of the way in our own woodland with nobody else to worry about (yes we are antisocial and like living in the trees with the birds and the bees!)"
17/02/2014Angharad
"We had a great time, it was such an unusual way to spend three nights. Up in the trees, living by a flowing river in the middle of the woods. Great facilities. The location was beautiful. The rain didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. We made a camp fire and the wood burner kept us nice and toastie during the evenings. Superb time x"
02/02/2014Jessica
"Hello, I just wanted to say thank you for a truly unforgettable experience in the Lost Meadow! It was amazing and despite the wild wet weather we both had a great time! Thank you for helping Steve to make our weekend perfect and for his proposal to go amazingly! Oh and of course I said yes! Thank you once again - VF, January 2014"

Brilliant location and stay

Just what we were looking for, absolute bliss and serenity after a hectic summer. The tree pod cosy and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The hot shower from the spring was lush and the compostable loo was the nicest we’ve ever used. Jon was a wonderful host, who left us to enjoy our private piece of stunning woodland to ourselves. But always on the end of a text if needed. Will 100% be returning in the future to once again enjoy the tranquility of the lost meadow tree pod.
17/09/2024Kathryn

09/04/2024Leah
We had such a fantastic stay. In the middle of the woods sits the incredible tree pod. I have never seen anything like this, totally incredible. The river next to the pod was perfect for cold water swims which we loved and warmed up with an outdoor fire. The indoor log burner is perfect for warming up too. The local pub London inn is not far away and serves fabulous Sunday roast lunch. Jon is a fabulous host and we can’t reccommend this place enough. Can’t wait to go back and stay again.
17/11/2023Liv

21/06/2021Vicky
Thank you!
29/10/2020Louise
04/09/2020Ella
